Great video Kurt. Those CD long boxes were originally designed that way so that music and retail stores could use their current album display racks to hold CD’s.
Love the Grammy Museum...last time I was there was a tribute to Amy Winehouse....it was AWESOME! This exhibit for hip hop was just as great! Thanks Kurt for taking us there with you!! 👻
Is that a pop up, cause I see a ton of stuff that's in the Smithsonian as well. It was clear some items here were copies, so maybe original items are still in DC.

Yo Kurt I have been a consultant for the Grammy Museum since its opening in 2004 blessed to be part of so many Historic events there. I got the plug for events sometimes would love to send ya a invite sometime.
Kurt, we love you... but as a life long Michael Jackson fan you're opening old wounds with that Grammy jacket. To make this short, that piece of pop memorabelia is surrounded by controversy. There's only two real jackets: The 'clean' and the 'zombie'. The one at the Grammy Museum is neither. It is signed by Michael, but is not the video worn jacket. Michael never even wore the jacket again after the video. Every time he was seen in a Thriller jacket, it was a variation of the video version. Landis's wife made the jackets. There were never any other official jackets made in the EXACT same fashion as the one from the short film.. so what is this jacket at the Grammy Museum? According to MJ history that jacket should not exist. They did catch Michael Peters (choreographer of Beat It and Thriller) with a fake. The Grammy Museum should clear this up, because that's not the video worn jacket. Every fan in the world knows that one was bought by a private owner, and we also know where the "zombie" jacket is.. WHAT IS THIS COAT AND WHERE DID THEY GET IT??
I assumed it was one used on tour? I honestly don't know. The sign there says it was worn by Michael, but it doesn't say it's from the video. So I don't know. I didn't know about the controversy.
Ah the 80's...often imitated but NEVER duplicated!!!

Yes!! EPMD: "Unfinished Business" and Rhyme Syndicate "Comin Thru" - Still have them joints from back in the 80's! I miss those days so much 🙏🏼
Nice!
I’m gonna go with my daughter after seeing this video , what’s extra cool is that I worked with some of those artists. Thanx
Awesome!
Dope
Keep doing what your doing Kurt.

Thank you for the tour!
Why did I read this as A trip to the granny museum?

Cassettes… 1960’s???
ABBA? PRETENDERS?
Nooooo. Early 1980s. I’m kind of stunned that the Grammy museum could possibly get it so wrong.
2:13 Beastie Boys!
Egyptian Lover was the SHIT!
Can't believe they snubbed Eric B. & Rakim! Definitely in my top 10 (if not top 5) of all time hip-hop artists.
80 Life You tube video channel Love my favorite one fan BIG 💖💖💖💖⭐️🎶
A lot of that stuff is probably replicas.
I love this stuff, but are they really real? The business will show you fake shit to make money

I think early Hip Hop is great. But the vile gangsta rap that came later in the 1990s through today has only damaged the communities.
Agreed
04:25 is that you?
No graffiti on that big ass building ?!
