Fantastic. Parents would have a tall pie for new year's eve here in Ontario Canada and now unfortunately noone knows what the hell I am talking about. This is Deelicious.
Melton mowbrey pie's are very overrated they are good but there are plenty of pie's that are as good if not better agreed they are an ad man's dream because of the name, this hand rated mularkey is just that a bit of old flannel, it's done mainly in the south of England to make people think they are getting a better quality pie than a machine pressed pie!! I have made pies, the machine pressed pies where £1.50 the hand raised £2.00 people swore blind that they could taste the difference 😂😂😂 they where the same pie!!!
Very neat! Where'd you get your Italian lard please?
Looks Great! I bet a Jam Jar would be ok to use too(?) Thanks for a fab upload.
Jam jar or bottle.
@@mikewilliams4499 Yes indeed.

Thanks for the video Simon (and Ian) :)
Nice one Ian ;-)
Poetry in motion. 👍
Fascinating. I thought pie makers let the pastry in the fridge for two or three days to let the pie dry out before putting the met in😳
You thought wrong.
That was an abrupt ending !!!!!!!
Simon!!!
What difference does it make if you crumb half the lard into the flour?, seems like it would make no difference
Stops excess gluten forming which would make the pastry leathery
now that is a pork pie
I thought that the pastry had to be used whilst it is still hot.....
Where can I purchase the pastry dolly please?
Use a Jam Jar!!
Amazon sells them!
Make one.
A bit late now but that background noise is awful

I completely agree. I prefer warm ones with runny Jelly like you get in North Yorkshire where I live.
Mine for instance 🤣😊
Very ordinary pork pie!
