What’s PRAHOK? It’s a funky mud-fish sauce near and dear to my Cambodian heart. That FUNK IS THE TRUTH! That FUNK reminds me of music. The strings of the west coast and the deep bass of the south inspired this Asian guy right here. While I didn’t sample anything for this instrumental, hearing how Dr. Dre sampled the funky melodies of the Parliament and gave it that G-Funk blew my mind. Hearing DJ Paul & Juicy J flip the soulful sounds of Willie Hutch and fuel the streets with their heavy-based-crunk-pimpin’ made me want to dissect a song apart and find everything about it. Small sounds that can make a long-lasting impact. Hip-Hop made me get in tune with all likes of music.
