The Semmelweis Museum of Medical History is located in the house where he was born.
What a remarkable man. O.k so we know now that it’s the washing of hands but how come this man isn’t famous . I swear his name , and a photo or portrait if available, should be in every obstetric facility , and in every country. Wouldn’t hurt to be in all hospitals and clinics. Knowing how pedantic ( and rightly so) all drs are now about washing his hands. He should be as famous as other names. What a wonderful man. We, who didn’t have to die during childbirth ( and mine were born in the early 70’s) thank you sir. Thank you for doing this email. Wonderful work. Thank you sir 🙏🙏🙏🙏👵🇦🇺
This should be required viewing for schools. Kids are grubby
I want a biographics delving into all of Karl's tattoos
1:40 - Chapter 1 - A tale of 2 clinics
6:05 - Mid roll ads
8:10 - Chapter 2 - Hunting down the killer
12:20 - Chapter 3 - Reactionaries' reaction
15:10 - Chapter 4 - Deaf ears to clean hands
19:10 - Chapter 5 - Mental decline
22:05 - Chapter 6 - A clean legacy
23:15 - Conclusion
Why does this video remind me of the Family Guy episode where Peter crawls in stewie’s crib and you hear Lois yelling from the other room, “Peter, you will wash your hands after you poop!” And Peter puts his finger to Stewie’s mouth and says “shush; I won’t.”😂
This is an excellent video. I never heard of this doctor despite taking microbiology courses. I enjoy medical history topics.
This was a good video less rambling and straight into it best video so far
17:55 when Nolan makes a movie about this guy in 10 years a balding Pedro Pascal is perfect casting for that photo 🤣
Sounds like you are feeling better 😊 happy Easter Karl. 🐣
Brilliant and tragic!! Great man!!👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
This vid was well worth my time to watch.
Yoooo
Karl, fancy seeing you here
Lovely information
"Wash our hands! Bah! Next thing you know, they will tell us to wear face masks to reduce the spread of disease. Poppycock, sir! Poppycock, I say!"
Something like 2 American presidents ultimately died because their doctors wouldn't wash up before surgery, which was sketchy at best anyway. This was in the 1800s. President Garfield was one of them.
Where's Simon? What did you do to him?
Where have you been? lol! He’s been gone for a while.
@@travisinthetrunk Is he taking a break
@@trollman1296 No. He and the producer of some of these channels had a fallout and he left. He’s still got a bunch of his old channels and a couple new ones.
@@travisinthetrunkyou should read the username of the person you’re replying to.
What a question! He left half a year ago.
Ok, first of all i just washed my hands. Secondly the guys a hero. I am sure this order is the way he would have wanted it!
This guy was WAY ahead of his time, and he suffered because of that forwardness!
I put a sticker from Dept of Public Health on my bumper, it said. Wash Your Hands. My message to all. I'm a religious hand washer. I think it not only cuts down on germs, everything stays cleaner.
Do a vid on General pershing.
I like eggs. Have a good egg day people.
We need a name for this network of channels. Whistle-vers? Idk, maybe there is one. As much as I love Simon and the other presenters and the editors are great. It is the writing that makes it all work
Thank you. Must admit of never having heard of him which makes me ashamed. Should do a video on Dr Papanikolaou the man who discovered the test that is still used today that has saved millions of women. The Pap test
There was another man who saved the lives of many women during childbirth by developing drugs for difficult childbirth, two of which are still used today. Unfortunately, he is better known for the drug he accidentally created in the process: LSD.
And today one of the hardest pieces of training of Young male doctors is still getting them to wash their god damn hands!
You'd think that would have improved by now, but no!
Karl! You're amazing! Thanks For this 😊😊❤❤❤
OMG A NEW MOVIE IS ON NETFLIX ABAUT SEMMELWEISS FINNALY❤❤❤❤
By all means, this man in the 1800s was a hero!
In today's world, however, it's about darn time to make male ObGyns a thing of the past. There are plenty of female physicians nowadays, and the ObGyn specialty should be about women caring for other women.
Bring back Simon.
No
@@littleshep5502 why?
@@cheekychicken8606 Simon left, and did so months ago. The new hosts are doing fine
Great so I guess this is the guy we have to thank for making childbirth not a death sentence lol.
Why it took so much for doctors to understand why they need to wash their hands?
Simple answer, they didn't understand how germs and contamination worked. Hell, they kept their tools in cloth cases, where the cloth wasn't washed
Yeah Karl your voice is like a bright sunny day
30 seconds is not enough time to wash your hands.
Happy eastern karl! 🐇🐇🐇🐇🐇
I want to hear that girl narrate a video at some point lol.
Something like 2 American presidents ultimately died because their doctors wouldn't wash up before surgery, which was sketchy at best anyway.
"Every day millions of mothers give birth."
...No.

AI art?
Great report. Really well written and conveyed. Please though; WAY too much subjective commentary. Please tone down the personal opinion (“he was right. He was right. He was right….”)
The AI picture of the priest and the boy is disturbing. Edit it out please.
Another great presentation by Karl, with a “K”, Smallwood and Team!! Who could have guessed that clean hands would lead to higher efficacy…
It’s time to make Karl the Permanent Host, dammit‼️ Algorithm engagement!!
Desmond doss ww2 heroes army biography please make video
India king chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj biography please make video
