SSO - High Note (2024-05-04) Springfield, MA

Bugs Bunny at the Symphony, Act II, Cartoon 4: High Note. This one is from circa 1949 and it uses musical notes as the cast of cartoon characters with “The Blue Danube” with a waltz tempo (Tempo di Valse) applied (plus tax).
The signature cartoons of my youth, held in fond memory, drew me to witness this event on 2024-05-04. George Daugherty and the Springfield Symphony Orchestra (SSO) put on a superb frontend performance to the Warner Bros. offering on the big “Ol’ Silver Screen”. It was explained that such orchestration was standard in the early years of film; making this modern offering a wonderful retro-show! Besides that, who does not want to relax on the weekend and watch Saturday cartoons, given the opportunity? This show had 2 Acts: Act I with 8 cartoons and Act II with 6 more. One grinned, smiled, chuckled, and/or outright laughed the whole time! Happy!
