4:19 I've never come across Jim Beam Repeal Batch. Does anyone have any experience with that one?
I have the Blackened Cask Strength pick finished in brandy barrels, that bondstone cask strength, and the rebel cask strength pick. All of them are fine but nothing special. Of the three I think the Bondstone is the best BUT I rank it below Rare Breed. I do like rye so I might be biased toward the WT rye content.
Bondstone, I may have to go back and pick it up.🥃

Man oh man that Total Wine is dope. New Riff, Traverse City, Pikesville rye on the shelves. That Nashville Barrel Company Cask Strength caught my eye too. Rebel 10 year is BS especially for that price. years before it was $64 and now it is $109. The Saint's Alley I think Myron would like. Also that High N Wicked Rye for $80 is BS. That is 5 year New Riff Rye marked up and dressed up. You're better off with that Pikesville Rye.

@@BourbonDrop Man this is where I wish I was there hunting with you. I'd split the cost on that Nashville Barrel pick. I've heard some of those picks are super tasty and some of them were aged with Kelvin cooperage barrels. I'm reluctant on those Nashville Barrel SB picks too in my area. They're $110 before tax..
Ya TW kills it. Worth the hr drive to the closest one by me. You just stock up because my local selects are dead other then the standard commercial shit.

Wow, so many great bottles there! Blackened Cask Strength is fantastic too. It's nothing like the lower proof regular release. I have gone through multiple bottles of the Total Wine batches 131 and 132

BTW.. that American Brick is not good, at least in my opinion. If you like Dickel you might like it, has some similar mineral notes.

Great store picks. I got a Woodford Reserve Double Oaked store pick that is awesome. I found a Rebel YELL 10 Year Single Barrel a few months ago. Still Austin Cask Strength is my favorite Texas Whiskey. My favorite Redwood Empire is Pipe Dream Cask Strength. I picked up an SLB pick Sagamore Spirits 7 Year Rye. You did not pan in on the Tin Cup 14 Year? I found a Maker’s Mark 46 Cask Strength at Costco today. 🥃

Seems like they keep it in stock. They had a ton of it and the Ezra pick last November when I visited the store. I might pick one up because I do like a lot of MGP, but I hear mixed reviews of Clyde Mayes.🥃
@@BourbonDrop I had it at a local (NY) whiskey fest. The others I am not a fan of. It was tasty, but I was a few drinks in. The Saints Alley is a blend of Iron Root and MGP. Its Bourbon Night mentione the Bourbon Port Cognac and the Nobleman Rye.
If Penelope and Smoke Wagon has taught us nothing else…we can all like MGP if it’s in the hands of the right blender

Another fun video. Total can have a ton of good and interesting stuff, that one you went to seemed a bit better than any of the ones in my area. I've yet to see a Rebel 10yr in the wild. The Sagamore Sherry Finish is great and the 8 year is a step above that. Finally had the chance to open up the John J and the New riff Sib, they are both fantastic. Going to have to nurse those since I don;t have a plan for their replacements, lol.
