Think I’ve said before I like the queens beasts coins got a full set of 2oz silver bullion coins including the completer coin. the BU completer you bought looks good. Brilliant post as usual 👍🏴
Thanks for the video. Great find with the William and Mary Halfpenny. If you can afford them I'm sure you'll want the Queens Beasts, I saw some of them at auction and they are really quite something. Incidentally this week I added a really nice 1806 Penny (there are two ? varieties ? anyway I didn't have this one); and from auction upgrades of Pennies for 1906, 1877, and 1876H and Halfpennies 1806, 1826, and for quite a bit, that is £30 + commission a second UNC or close to UNC 1860 halfpenny.
I've collected all the Queens Beasts in 2oz Silver. Now need the Tudor Dragon in the Tudor Beasts series. Silver price getting higher so hard to find a bargain.
Coins made for collectors are not coins they are 'medals'! Love from Oz, please collect what is 'real' you will never go wrong!!. Collector coins are for wanker/speculators and will usually fail as an investment within 10 years!! Buy the oldest, best grade coins that you can afford and you will end up in front!! If you are lucky your investments will yield 5-10 percent. Cheers from Oz Pommy buddy!!
Good price on the loupe. I use a 10x magnifier that my daughter bought for me at the Royal Mint, but that 30x will be a massive help for seeing all the coin details. I managed to get both 2005 £5 coins (Trafalgar and Nelson for £13.50 on eBay 2 years ago. Nice silver pick ups👌I got my QB set from Change Checker (blue carded ones), but I believe a few of the BU packs are pretty pricey (Red Dragon Wales and Black Bull of Clarence especially) so good luck if you do manage to get them.
You should absolutely collect the queens beasts set, they are beautiful coins. The most accessible are the BU £5’s but they look better in silver, especially the proofs….
That William & Mary 1/2d is definitely the star. I think £3 is around the price I paid for my 1694 ha'penny I'd forgotten that many businesses put a £1 in their wrapping. Personally, I'd keep it as is.
I personally would keep your Cinzano £1 coin as it is, don’t just swap it for a basic date run. It’s a intact piece in its own right
Thank you 👍
I have the Queen's Beasts as 2 oz Silver Piedforts, and the Completor as a 1 Kg coin! It's so absolute gorgeous.
Amazing 🤩
Well done, excellent haul, especially that 1694 half penny!
Thank you 😁
