    The real key to hypertophy is the +15 rep range. This man speaks the truth. 2 years ago I started checking my ego at the gym door and lightened the weights, worked with nothing less than 12 reps, since then my muscles have blown up in size and have received many steroid accusations. The guys swinging heavy weights for 6 to 10 reps with poor form have the same physiques since I've been at the gym with zero change in muscle growth.

    • @SIideAway
      @SIideAway 4 года назад +1

      @PogChamp yes you get stronger by doing higher reps, just not as fast. You progress by increasing reps Every workout rather than weight. So week 1 you do 12 reps 4 sets, week 2 you do 13 reps first set and 12 reps 3 sets, week 3 13 reps first 2 sets, 12 reps last 2 sets. If you cant increase reps then you just add another set of 12.
      It May not look like much progress but it is, lifting 10kg curls for 12 reps is alot more total weight lifted than 16kg 6 reps.

    Great advice!!
    I tried everything for my biceps for 8 straight years. They kept getting stronger. They have elite strength levels where I can do weighted pull-ups with 150 extra pounds on me for full sets. I would hammer curl 80-85 lbs for 5 sets of 6. But they still sucked!
    I added weight
    I added calories
    I lost my natty card
    Biceps still sucked..... until I watched this video.
    Most important thing in biceps is mind-muscle connection. And you can’t have that with high weight low reps that use mostly other muscles and joints to complete the lift.

    • @JR_ST
      @JR_ST 4 года назад +2

      Nika 0 As an example, if I can curl 45lb dumbbells that’s fine. But, if I can’t even finish my first set because I’m straining to lift it a 4th time, I won’t be working my bicep to it’s full potential.

    • @javidjakeer
      @javidjakeer 4 года назад

      @@JR_ST how many workouts do you do for biceps and how many times a week and also say you do 3 workouts for biceps such as hammer, bicep curls do you do those exact same exercises everytime you train biceps?

    • @JR_ST
      @JR_ST 4 года назад

      Javid Jakeer When it comes to bicep, I would probably incorporate two types of workouts. One the focuses on the short head and one for the long head of the biceps. But, if you want to do three, do it. I would do the same workouts up until to keep consistency, however, at some point you may get bored of it or plateau. So, when that happens I’d usually try a different exercise that would shock the muscle and/or change the amount of reps/sets.
