Why Your Biceps Aren't Growing (NOT WHY YOU THINK!)

- Having trouble growing your biceps? I watched most of the popular bicep training videos on RUclips and I think they are completely off.
Let me know what you think in the comments below, how do you train your biceps?
The fact that you keep your shirt on tells me that you are serious about this.

I recently discovered this. I was following a lot of different techniques and many of them I didn't feel a connection with, but kept thinking 'any day now it's going to work'. I gave up and started focusing on what feels right.

OK, that makes sense now. After years of grinding out 8 to 10 reps with heavy weights I still don't have biceps and never get a pump equal to when I have to carry a bag of groceries a good distance.
Probable thats the reason behind my neighboors arms, he only had Sole dumbbells but he started to doing high reps AND he got results after three weeks
Hahaha
Lol, you were not kidding, this is exactly the opposite of what everybody says...
@Scotland1908 Leroy Colbert gave the correct form of alternating DB curls maybe 4-5 years ago on his YT channel. They DO work and are NOT stupid IF you raise one arm while simultaneously lowering the other. He was doing them seated(100lbs) with a dude standing on his feet to keep his form steady..😂
You can try how you want ... either it grows or not .... all genetics
Scotland1908 i wouldn’t call a hanging arm with db in it zero tension. it’s just less

My new favorite fitness channel. This dude is refreshing he tells it how it is and gets straight to the point.
Brother, I am SO happy to see you teaching these methods. Too many people believe in momentum and locking out. Thank you thank you thank you.
It’s bodybuilding not powerlifting, that’s what I’ve learned over the years. Stop worrying too much about the weight lifted but that you’re feeling the muscle being worked and maintaining that mind muscle connection
But I’m confused as to when I can increase the weight? Like how long do I have to stay curling bar at 55 lbs?
You have to get stronger to get bigger and mind muscle connection is overrated.
A turtle if you can get to your max rep without much fatigue anymore, it’s time to bump that weight up
Joey I usually do like 8-12 with that. I’ve been at this range for like months now. I try to do 60 but i can do like 6-8. Tats when I saw this video and it says to do more than 20 like wtf.
A turtle 8-12 is good reps until fatigue, but if you can only do 6-8 with a higher weight, Keep doing that until you get strong enough to do 8-10, and then 8-12. And then repeat
Great advice. New subscriber and I like the fact you are using your experience as your main guide and not necessarily falling into all the hype that is out there. Keep it up ! 🏋️

I was doing bicep curls with 13+ kgs and almost never got sore after the workout. I tried this method doing half reps with 5kg!! for 15 reps and let me tell you after 15 minutes i couldn't even flex my biceps. I felt the connection and the maximum muscle activation like never before, i wish I knew this tip years before 😥thanks a lot dude 🤗🤗
Yea man. I try this method today at the gym and my biceps are sore as hell, compare to training heavy and doing 8-10 reps.
The real key to hypertophy is the +15 rep range. This man speaks the truth. 2 years ago I started checking my ego at the gym door and lightened the weights, worked with nothing less than 12 reps, since then my muscles have blown up in size and have received many steroid accusations. The guys swinging heavy weights for 6 to 10 reps with poor form have the same physiques since I've been at the gym with zero change in muscle growth.
Cool story bro
@PogChamp yes you get stronger by doing higher reps, just not as fast. You progress by increasing reps Every workout rather than weight. So week 1 you do 12 reps 4 sets, week 2 you do 13 reps first set and 12 reps 3 sets, week 3 13 reps first 2 sets, 12 reps last 2 sets. If you cant increase reps then you just add another set of 12.
It May not look like much progress but it is, lifting 10kg curls for 12 reps is alot more total weight lifted than 16kg 6 reps.
How to train the fast twitch fibers🙇his idea doesn't make sense💁
@PogChamp
Strength definitely goes up as well. I'd say every week I will increase the weight. This workout style helps you build muscle mind connection and allows you to execute each exercise with perfect form allowing you to control much heavier weight when required.
Just smash your compound lifts with heavy weights and then follow up with accessory movements in the high rep ranges!!

Great advice!!
I tried everything for my biceps for 8 straight years. They kept getting stronger. They have elite strength levels where I can do weighted pull-ups with 150 extra pounds on me for full sets. I would hammer curl 80-85 lbs for 5 sets of 6. But they still sucked!
I added weight
I added calories
I lost my natty card
Biceps still sucked..... until I watched this video.
Most important thing in biceps is mind-muscle connection. And you can’t have that with high weight low reps that use mostly other muscles and joints to complete the lift.
I’m almost 60 and I’ve been training only a few months with decent results, but your advice makes so much good sense I can’t wait to start using it. I’m glad I found this video and I will be watching many more.

It’s all about proper form, not putting weight you can’t handle.
No weight is important too
Nika 0 I’m not saying it isn’t important. I just think the weight should be relevant to what you can lift and conduct proper, complete, execution of the workout.
Nika 0 As an example, if I can curl 45lb dumbbells that’s fine. But, if I can’t even finish my first set because I’m straining to lift it a 4th time, I won’t be working my bicep to it’s full potential.
@@JR_ST how many workouts do you do for biceps and how many times a week and also say you do 3 workouts for biceps such as hammer, bicep curls do you do those exact same exercises everytime you train biceps?
Javid Jakeer When it comes to bicep, I would probably incorporate two types of workouts. One the focuses on the short head and one for the long head of the biceps. But, if you want to do three, do it. I would do the same workouts up until to keep consistency, however, at some point you may get bored of it or plateau. So, when that happens I’d usually try a different exercise that would shock the muscle and/or change the amount of reps/sets.
"Trust me on this" Should be your T-Shirt slogan
