Digimon Adventure Tri actually has flashbacks to the first trainers, and they lost to the Dark Masters in one flashback. So, I really loved how you managed to fix this theory up 4 years ago.
I have a theory where there was one universe and the digidestined had to split the universe since that was the only way they could win maybe two of them were Izzy’s parents and sent him to the Adventures fraction
Elayna Church sorry but my argument is not dumb because the Pokemon anime has no story progression he is still 10 years old after how many season? unlike pokemon the charactars of digimon age and new ones appear and so on which how pokemonshould work but sadnly no.
Yeah I was a digimon and still am but imma be loyal to it and Pokémon because I like both but I love digimon a lot better because of a lot of reason and there more to it then this side quests and adventures it’s more memories for me then that in digimon in Pokémon it’s this side quests and adventures in my part it how I feel about it and am not a 90s kid and am a kid still but almost 14 but I watched this when 8-10 none-stop everyday after school until I went too bed thay how I felt about digimon with me Pokémon wad like the lesser but cool verson of digimon
I hate it when my friends say " Digimon sucks!" and " Its just a copy of pokemon!" well I tell them to watch the show and they come back loving it and saying " What I never said it was a bad show!" or " What it didn't copy pokemon at all!!" but pokemon mega evolutions came out way after digimons mega digivolutions so pokemon copied digimon!
To be fair Digimon came out before Pokemon (in Japan, Digimon came out first) although in Japan Digimon never used the term "Mega" for their Mega-Level Digimon (it was "Baby 1, Baby 2, Child, Adult, Perfect, and Ultimate" rather than "Baby, In-training, Rokkie, Champion, Ultimate, and Mega").
+frankie rizzi Ditto, jjajaja, I know Digimon Anime > Pokemon, and in the there are some good Videogames but.... man if I were to choose videogames I would choose pokemon.
Spring 2015 is bringing Digimon Adventure 03. Hoping to see Vikemon, Rosemon, Phoenixmon, Herculeskabuterimon, Seraphimon and Magnadramon get the inclusion they should have had in season 1. If the 02 cast plays a part I'm crossing my fingers for the Veedramon digivolution chain.
no info yet on the 02 cast, but it comes out in about a month so... who knows. ^_^ i would also love to see DinoBeemon and the other Jogress digimons alternate forms, but if the info i have seen and heard is correct, there will be completely different digivolve lines for each character's digimon. this not only means no WarGreymon, but it's possible that there will be no Greymon at all, or at least a different version of Greymon. i hope it's Greymon 0 of Xros wars fame. true that was a Virus Variant, but it would be cool to finally know more about that line.
Card Professors INC. Cool. I really enjoy when new forms are added to Digivolution chains (which is what I liked about Savers and GeoGreymon). It would also be interesting if they worked the Royal Knights into this part of the Digimon multiverse. As far as I know the only one that hasn't been featured at some point in the anime is UlforceVeedramon, which could pop up if Davis/Daisuke makes an appearance.
David Coyle I think there will be no Magnadramon. Since Tailmon gets his Holy Ring back at the end of Digimon Adventure 02, it's more likely that she warp shinka (warp evolves) Ophanimon. Also, they will have to invent something that prevents normal evolution, if you want to see more Jogress evolutions. In Digimon Adventure 02, it's stated that since the are no more dark towers, normal evolution is possible again.
Nik Kuran Actually, Tailmon/Gatomon is confirmed in the Adventure timeline to digivolve to Magnadramon, as seen in Hurricane Touchdown (3rd movie). All other material has Ophanimon as the Mega form. There's also been Jogress after the storyline of Adventure 02 when Diaboromon is revived and becomes Armageddemon in the 4th movie, and Omnimon isn't strong enough to fight it and fuses with Imperialdramon FM to Mode Change to Paladin Mode. The first 4 movies are considered canon to the timeline of Adventure (1 is a prequel, 2 is post-Apocalymon, 3 is between Digimon Emperor and Arachnemon, 4 is post-MaloMyotismon/BelialVamdemon but before the epilogue)
David Coyle Nope, the movies are not canon, just the first OAV is canon. In fact, Hikari-chan remembers Koromon because of that. However, Diablomon is never mentioned in the anime series and neither are Wallace and his two digimons (Terriermon and Lopmon)
ratchetandclankfan2 that's your opinion but atleast X and Y looks promising, if Serena was brought in for any reason it was to help Ash win, Nintendo aren't idiots they know how to please their fans, besides the hoenn anime and sinnoh anime didn't suck Black and White did suck i will admit
I know this video is old, but Tri actually explains what happened to the original Digidestined, their Digimon partners, and what happened to them. We also get to meet two members of the original Digidestined, now adults.
The way they explained it went kind of like this. !) In order to become digidestined, you have to see a digimon 2)This does not mean you'll become one, just that you have the chance to do so 3) the actually choosing is done by Homeostasis, otherwise known as the digital "powers that be" 4) It seemed implied that each of the chosen digimon were specifically created for each child, along with that child's digivice and crest
I love both animes, Digimon and Pokemon are awesome! Part of my chilhood! I rather Digimon when it's about story or anime as I rather Pokemon when is about games! But honestly, both are just cool! I liked your theory btw :)!
Matt's dad could have a small chance of being the original Digidestined, but you have to remember that in one episode, they said that the only reason everyone else except Kari and Tai were Digidestined is because they were freinds
Another theory which I think is kindda logical is the the frontier season came before the adventures one , for many reasons first the frontier is based in spirit evolution so it maybe was the old evolution method, also and this one is my theory, in Digimon Hunters when the other leaders from different seasons came , the oldman with that clockmon was asked about why this is happening and replyed with the same story of Digimon frontier ( “ There where 10 legendary Digimons who fought the evil themselves and returned peace to digital world “) so mostly the original digidestined or even before them we had Digimon frontier
Heres a question. How can Game Freak Justify putting mega's into Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire when they stated in X and Y that it was a Kalo's exclusive thing?
Mega Evolution is the new thing. They were exclusive for Kalos only while X and Y were still new. I'm sure we're gna see a lot more Megas in the future(:< Can't wait to see Megas for the Johto, Sinnoh, Unova, and Kalos starters! (:
I'm almost certain that the whole 'Humans creating the digital world' thing only happened in season 3, and Oikawa and Cody's father only DISCOVERED the digital world through their video games.
The English dub is so different to the original that it cant even be considered canon. Such as the idea that the digital world was created like some sorta of video game. Don't quote me on this but i recall the actual digital world is supposed to be some alternative universe not a computer program, except in this parallel existence "data = atoms" , this is why in many instances in the show/movies the human internet and the digital world are shown as two separate things entirely, which always confused me as a kid watching the English dub. seriously if you haven't already I high recommend watching the Sub of this show, it goes from a very good kids show to being a down right amazing anime that is arguably better then any TV show Iv ever watched. The Digi-destined partners feeling like fleshed out characters in there own right rather then accessory to the main characters is probably one its bigger strengths compared to the 4kids dub
Hey man I’m currently watching sub and the sub push’s the whole video game idea more then the dub. Both talked about how they were deferent then the internet. Both are good in their own ways. The dub actually keeps a lot of from the sub (obviously they censored minor cursing, and cut intense violence, and nudity). And while I’m not done yet with the sub at the moment both the sub and dub have almost identical characters who go through identical arcs (the sub does add more emotion though) but so far other then added dialogue and jokes it’s accurate (this could change since I’m not done with the sub yet). If a mix was made that kept the good jokes, some of the additional dialogue that actually fleshed stuff out, keep the atmosphere and emotion of the sub with music of both mixed together that would be great.
This is interesting as I was creating a dice game for Digimon not unlike D&D. Story wise it was before Taichi and the others and kind of led up to that, but to realize that it could be more accurate than I originally thought is just fascinating!
matt's father may be gabumons original partner when a digimon dies the come back, their memories are forgotten padamon was an expection along with biyomon in data squad who was able to remeber cristie
ProtoMario Actually, Gabumon can't digivolve into Greymon. While it is true that some Digimon can digivolve into a number of different Digimon, that doesn't mean that any Digimon can Digivolve into any other Digimon. All Digimon are restricted by their digivolution families. Gabumon can only digivolve into Garurumon but Garurumon can then digivolve into either WereGarurumon or ShadowWereGarurumon. If you look on the Digimon Wiki it will tell you what each Digimon can Digivolve into.
Matt's dad was probably not an original digidestined. But Cody's dad and Oikawa definitely were. In the original japanese version of the show, Matt's dad doesn't know Gabumon's name before they were introduced, and he's actually a little scared of Garurumon at first. Definitely not a digidestined.
I never took in consideration that Matt's father was a digidestined. When I was younger I always wondered how he knew his name. As I got older I figured he just overheard them talking one night. Interesting theory.
I don't know about that, Frontier was awesome. Data squad and what hell was it called Help me out here you may know? 3 main digimon, a dog like one an Agumon with straps on his claws, and much different digivolved forms. And another one though I don't recall And even then Data squad was pretty decent, even compared to this new one(but it was just far different) So Whats Worse? Digimon Xro Wars, or Yu-Gi-Oh Zexal?
Funny how Yugioh went from yami no games to card game on a motor cycle, Pokemon went from monster to Digimon, Digimon went from digial to a man knocking out ultimate state digimon by one punch.
I haven't seen Digimon in 10 years. Watching this video made me want to start watching it again, starting with the first episode of the original season. Thank you ProtoMario for reignighting my love for Digimon.
Digimon>Pokemon - mega evolutions came first in digimon way before they announced it in pokemon, digimon can actually talk, digimon revert to their cute first forms after their battles, digimon battles are often 10 times larger and better, they can also evolve multiple times (more than 2)... a lot of other better things.
Archimo Rasmussen mhm, like i said: "a lot of other better things" though my favorite is having ultimate digimons give their powers to other digimon so they can evolve into their ultimate forms too. - digimon movie - golden digi eggs
mike ike sadly, i never played the digimon games. i have seen game play so i would have agree with you. not too sure about the games though i prefer the show.
You have probably never watched any anime. Almost every single anime has had mega forms of the characters. Yes, digimon did it before pokemon. But countless other animes have as well. Pokemon did not copy Digimon, but simply did what every other anime has. (Naruto, Fairy Tail, Bleach and DB
Jerome Tanabe being japanese myself, i've watched a quite a few though i was never really interested in naruto. also, digimon is an anime so saying that i've never watched one is quite silly of you. bleach, db, and other animes have changes in power level or modes that they have or do in order to get stronger whereas in digimon have to actually evolve into another being to become stronger. fairy tail doesn't have that, you're either strong or not. quit being silly.
This was great!! Will you make more digimon theories? loved every second of this. Let´s see if we´ll get some more answers in the upcoming digimon tri.
Well proto nice theorizing but you seem to not realize that basically the entirety of the digimon decide is comprised of a massive multiverse and that the prime antagonist is an entity called zeedmilliniummon whom whether game, show, or manga is usually present in one form or another. Working off off your
Working off of your theory one might surmise that the original digidestined's mission want to stop the evil in the digital world but to set up prerequisite necessities for one or more future groups of digidestined so they wouldn't be likely to fail
If that's truely the case. Maybe the new Digimon anime( which is a sequel to 01) will finally wrap up the whole ZeedMilliniumon situation once and for all.
DaMario Clark 02 was a direct sequel(and the first movie is also conducted canon to both 01 & 02) to 01, so technically what you speak of would then need to be a sequel to 02 which seems awkward considering the end of 02 wrapped itself up fairly well. In any case I'd be interested in further information on this if you can provide it
archive_of_madness DaMario Clark Actually it may not be a sequel to either, the second line of the trailer is if we didn't go to the digital world so it maybe an alternate timeline situation
Axel Blaze If it is an alternate timeline, it's going to be one where the events of 02 never happened or one where the events happened differently. I highly doubt it's going to be a timeline where they never went to the digital world.
BUT PROTO! You should do some more digimon theories BUT PROTO! U can continue theorizing on the pokemon games and on the side do some digimon theories since the anime universe of digimon is way bigger and far more interestint than the pokemon one
the other seasons never aired outside japan so yeah 2seasons so don't call me ignorant i know the whole Digimon series now but as a kid only season 1 and 2 came to me and then it stopped and it was until 2 years ago i found out the rest of the seasons aired only in japan so i watched them
jaimie de jongh They did all 6 seasons of digimon have now officially been dubbed and the sixth one consists of like 3 seasons within itself and is still running.
You're reading too much into this. FIrst off, you're confusing the origin of the Digital World from Digimon Adventure (aka Digimon Season 1) and Digimon Tamers (aka Digimon Season 3). In Tamers, there were a group of computer programmers who did inadvertently start the process of a world being created within their computer systems, but in every other Digimon season the Digital World just spontaneously appeared due to the natural process of data fragments floating around cyberspace and coming together to be reconfigured into new forms. Second, the pre-Season 1 Digidestined, or "Chosen Children" as they are called in the original Japanese, came to the Digital World and fought with a previous version of Apocalomon. It's not explained very well in the English version, but basically the Digital World has evolution and natural selection just like the real world. And just like in the real world a species will either evolve or die off and become extinct. These "extinct" Digimon left behind fragments of their data, just like deleting a file from your hard drive still leaves behind fragments of itself, and the fragments coalesced together and eventually formed Apocalomon. The fragments he is made up of contain the last bits of feelings they felt before dying off; their feelings of Fear, Anger and Sadness at being, for lack of a better word, "phased out" of the world. Apocalomon acts based on these feelings, which lead him to try and destroy not only the Digital World, but also the real world as well. If the previous "Chosen Children" (Sorry, I just prefer using the original Japanese terms when referring to things in Anime) had failed against Apocalomon the previous time he appeared, then the world would already be dead. This is getting pretty big so I'll continue in a new post...
Because of the way Apocalomon is created, he will never truly be defeated. New Digimon species are always evolving, and consequently older ones die out, which then leave fragments of themselves to join together and eventually create a new Apocalomon. It is an endless cycle of defeat and rebirth for him, so new "Chosen Children" will always need to be called forth to fight him. And since computer time goes much faster, a period in the real world of about 15 or 20 years would be like millions of years in the Digital World, plenty of time for the evolutionary process to "cycle through." Of course, at the end of Adventure 02 (season 2) the Digital World becomes completely intertwined with the real world, which I believe included matching the flow of time, so the 20 years into the future that they go in the real world is probably also twenty years in the Digital World, which probably means it's going to be a while before he appears again.
Link2Hyrule25 Yeah, I was also confused about how ProtoMario described the digital world's origin. I remembered that it came about due to purposeful programming in Tamers, but was pretty sure that was a new concept and not something borrowed from a previous season. Thanks for clarifying on that.
FierceDeityXeroX That's part of what I was trying to clarify, the Digital World in Tamers and the Digital World in Adventure are two separate worlds that exist in two different dimensions of the "real world." ProtoMario confused the origins of the two worlds. Every Season of Digimon brings a new dimension and a new Digital World, completely separate from the ones we saw in previous seasons. The only ones that have the same world in multiple seasons are Digimon Adventure and Adventure 02 (Seasons 1 and 2) and Digimon Xros Wars and Xros Wars Hunters (Seasons 6 and 7). And like I said, Tamers (Season 3) is the only one where the Digital World is created purposely, the others all come into existence naturally. Believe me I made that same mistake when the third season first came out, since I only had access to the dubbed version, and they got the same English Voice Actress for Takato's teacher that they did for "Kari." But honestly I didn't make the full realization that they were different until Frontier (Season 4) came out, with a completely new world setup and mythos.
When I saw Mega Evolution in Pokemon, I actually thought Digimon. And I am not a big fan of the Mega Evolutions in Pokemon because I can just as easily find a another Pokemon to beat the Mega(I've been playing Pokemon for fifteen years). But I'm also not a big fan of Digimon because of all the things I've heard about it. The main thing I hate about the Digimon games (I have Digimon World Dawn & Digimon World Dusk) are when you evolve or devolved your Digimon, their level gets reset, there are A LOT of typos, when I play as a girl, My Digimon and enemy Digimon call me a boy, and both Digimon Worlds has the Dusk team name misspelled though out the ENTIRE GAME!
The level resetting is just a feature of those particular games that doesn't happen in other games (such as digimon world ds) think of it as when the virus attacks at the start of the game it causes it to happen. Also by resetting the level it makes it possible to raise the stats of the digimon to the maximum which is almost necessary in order to beat the final boss (in the post game) which makes the game more challenging and games would be boring if they were too easy. also the team name isn't mispelled
ryan dixon The level thing is ok. But on the Digimon World Dusk case, It said Night Claw, so I thought that was it was supposed be that.I remembered that after I wrote my comment. Usually when I think of typos, I think of them being in the game not on the game case.
VicyLegendTamer a.k.a Nuhop the team name is not only night claw its also night Crow i think its left over from the digimon game but can you really complain it still sounds epic
your level geyting reset is actually a good thing because they don't lose their stats unless you 're degenerating them but even then the stats end up better than they were before also the level going to 1 makes leveling up for like the first 10 levels much easie ryou can pretty much get to level 10 in one battle and you get all the stats up too.
I only watched the first 2 seasons of Digimon but on average, it's a lot better than the Pokemon anime. The Pokemon anime has very few decent battles and a stupid amount of episodes and Digimon seasons 1 and 2 had some pretty awesome villains. HOWEVER Pokemon is still better in my opinion, just because of how awesome the game is and how awesome a Pokemon show COULD be if it was angled at adults and teens and not kids.
***** No, i said that a Pokemon anime would be awesome if it was aimed at adults or teens. The digimon anime was aimed at kids but it still catered for older audiences with awesome villains and great fight scenes. Not to mention Myotismon literally seducing women and then drinking their blood. You wouldn't see that in Pokemon.
It's very hard for me to determine the proper volume for music because when I was in the Army I worked around Aircraft, so I am partially deaf now, shooting without earplugs while deployed half the time didn't help either. I will set up a back up channel, and upload the non-music versions of these theories as well.
I advise to watch Digimon Adventure, Digimon Adventure 02, Digimon Tamers and Digimon Savers. Basically, anything but Digimon Frontiers and Digimon Xros Wars. Those too are too childish compared to the others, in my opinion.
better than any 4kids dub of anything ever. and the Dub isn't the only thing on Netflix, they also have the Sub, showing that they have the fan's best interest at heart. And when it comes to the dub, i prefer it for watching with my Nephew who is not currently a very good reader, just so he does not get frustrated and start disliking Digimon.
Card Professors INC. I often see people defending the dub by saying "its not 4kids bad" well its still AWFUL.and completely butchers the original either way.
Ryou Misaki The show was ALWAYS geared towards kids and EVERYTHING important was changed! the dialogue was changed, the character personalties was changed to stereotypes, the awful shoehorned jokes ,the awful soundtrack, the hammy acting the censorship is just the tip of the iceberg. I'm hard pressed to find anything positive about this dub! its awful they treated this awesome 90's cartoon like a cheetos commercial.
Each time you show the picture of the original digidestinded, I see five digimon that look like five of the season one digimon. The pictures were of an Agumon, a Gabumon, a Tentomon, a Patamon, and a digimon that looked like either Biyomon or Gatomon. Why is that? Could some of the scientists that created the season one digidestinded's digimon be the original digidestinded? Please answer these questions.
I love digimon i just want the games to comeover to america that came out for xros cuz i dont care for the show much i love it thou butt digimon gets outsold by other rpgs i think
Last Moment: Jirachi:Max, I have to go. Max: JIRACH, NO! PLEASE DON'T GO! Jirachi: I know it is sad to say this, but, I'll leave you behind. Max: PLEASE, DON'T LEAVE ME ALONE! I HAVE NO POKÉMON WHO CAN PROTECT ME! I THOUGHT YOU'RE MY BEST FRIEND! Jirachi: ... Jirachi: We'll ALWAYS be TOGETHER! Max saw a vision where a mysterious woman that looks like Jirachi, married May's biological dad and begot Max, this Jirachi has a name, and her name is Maxine. Max: are. you. my... mom? Maxine: Son, I promise you this. I will see you again. Maxine disappears and Max is weeping in joy. Max: Mom, that is the best wish I ever had since I was born. Wait, what movie is that again?!
Digimon world ( series) is awesome, there are tones of licensed games but there are alot of fan stuff coming out recently too, give them a check! There is one that is being worked on but using a bit of pokemons design and stuff but there is also one called "Digimon, your digital dream"and it's effing amazing and i'm playing it right now as i type this in fact. still recently new to the game though.
There is another possibility, although it's never explicitly stated in the show. The original Chosen did not exactly fail. In fact, they could have won a great victory over evil, and as an analogy, I would point to the conclusion of Power Rangers in Space (not the Sentai, the American adaptation). Andros was forced to kill Zordon by shattering his energy tube, unleashing a wave of energy across the universe that eradicated all evil and turned several of the villains good once again. Yes, I know the reason the writers did this was because they had every reason to assume this would be the very last season of Power Rangers, but there's a more important philosophical point. You can't literally erase all evil from the universe, because it's not as simple as there being good and evil people. Morality is a line that's drawn through the center of each of us, and we're all capable of doing good or bad things. Consider that every murderous dictator in our own history had believed they were doing the right thing. Therefore it's not unlikely that new villains would arise to once again threaten the world. Digimon are sentient computer programs, which means they possess intelligence and free will like humans, and are therefore subject to the same factors that lead certain humans to become genocidal tyrants. What's more, they evolved in an environment that required them to be violent and competitive; every single one of them has special attacks and some degree of combat abilities. So just as there will always be violence, war, and terrorism in our world, there will always be violent power-mad digimon, with widely varying motivations as to why they want to conquer, enslave, or destroy the world. There's evidence of this in the motivations of villains from other Digimon series. The D-Reaper was a rogue computer program that was carrying out its intended purpose by erasing anything, digital or human, that exceeded its original parameters. Lucemon was once savior of his world when he ended a deadly civil war, but he eventually became convinced that the only way for lasting peace was for him to have absolute control over everything. Yggdrasil decided to destroy the Earth to protect the Digital World in the wake of Kurata's genocidal rampage. In each of these cases, they believed they were doing the right thing and felt completely justified, even though their actions were evil.
umm....the first kids won. its said that they did but a new evil came from behind that wall of fire. I believe the first digidestined are the ones in Digimon Frontier(season 4). remember that at the end of season 4 the kids went back home but it was the same day they left. this brings us to the first digimon show but at the end of that, the world and digiworlds time line up. this means digimon frontier happens first. I know this is a little confusing cause season 3 turns digimon in a show and card game. season 1 and 2 are nothing more then shows on TV. I believe that season 4 takes place in the same universe as season 1 and 2 but before that happens. this is my Theory.
I hate season two of digimon. only because there was a very annoying discontinued plot, the ruler of the dark ocean which Kari was sent to. I would've also liked to see a continuation to adventures where their children take over saving the digital world and their digimon possibly digivolving into different species from their parents digimon
About the point that if they die in the digital world they are transported to the real world, in the Etemon arc, Izzy did say that anything that happens to them in the digital world would probably damage their actual bodies.
Proto, your theory is really nice, but isn't what happened, in reality, the "first" Digidestined group was formed by two guys (Ken Ichijouji and Ryo Akiyama) and the first villain who "broke" the balance between good an evil was Milleniummon (as was shown on the game series "Digimon Anode & Cathode Tamer/02 Tag Tamers/02 D1 Tamers/Brave Tamer"), Milleniummon was too powerful to be destroyed by ENIAC or ABC (the computers that "gave birth" to the digital world) so two kids from the real world were called to defeat it, they destroyed the body of Milleniummon, but even doing this they failed (there is a scene on Digimon Adventure 02 were Ken is dreaming about a fight in a desert, the silhouette of the digimon who has an "Golden Dragon-like" aura is Milleniummon and the destruction of his body caused it to explode, and the scattered pieces were "absorbed" by Ken, and that's the origin of the "Darkness Seeds"), since then, as Milleniummon had vanished, the timeline of the anime begun, and Apocalymon became the "new" villain, and his influence caused the apparition of digimons like Myotismon, Etemon and the Dark Masters, but when the movie "Our War Game" begun, Milleniummon resurfaced, now in the form of "MoonMilleniummon", Ryo Akiyama was called again to stop him, but he was unable to kill it (as MoonMilenniummon and his evolved form, ZeedMilleniummon, had complete control on timetravel, he was effectively immortal), so Ryo combined Justimon and ZeedMilleniummon on a single digitama, and transported himself to other dimension (Digimon Tamers Timeline) and there he trained his Monodramon/Cyberdramon on supressing the ZeedMilleniummon persona.
I know this is a 5 month old comment but Ryo from Tamers is part of the Adventure cannon. While technically they are not in the same universe what Lucas said is part of games I think were never released outside of japan.
Ken and Ryo are not the first. In fact, they weren't even a team. In 02 we learn that many children have digimon partners and even go to the digital world, but are not "chosen to save it" like Taichi-tachi; Ryo only guides Ken while he explores the digital world. And the main villains in Digimon Adventure don't appear "because of the influence of Apocalymon", but rather become Apocalymon after being destroyed by the chosen children. In tri we learn (if you pay lots of attention) that all digimon who are completely erased become part of Apocalymon. While neutral and vaccine digimon are reborn if they die, virus digimon are completely destroyed, but their back up data remains in Apocalymon.
I'm not sure about the dub but if you've watched the sub version, you might want to re-evaluate your theories coz it's stated that in the sub version that the original Digidestined did won but apparently a new evil had arose from the Wall of Fire. Considering that Digital world is like a parallel universe to the Real World, it's also safe to say it's comparable to our real life computer networks where virus can developed in some other forms after a long time(I'm not sure if this is correct). So, I'd suggest you to try watch the sub version to see if anything was really missed out compared to the dub version.
Digimon never copied digimon ever other than the concepts of both franchises being based on using monsters to fight something. But the second half is too true!
I'd love to see more Digimon Theories. Here's a question, Is What kind of program is Jedi, the old man of season 1, suppose to be? Is he even a digital being like the digimon?
I think the original digidestined were actually shown in the digimon movie. It was told that the digidestined in season 1 were chosen because they saw the fight between Greymon and Parrotmon. BUt they were other kids who saw the fight who weren't one of the characters. So that could've been them
1.) in Digimon Adventures Tri we actually meet another kid who was there 2.) go watch the original japanese versions of the three movies that were Frankenstein'd together and butched to make the digimon movie. -the Digimon Adventure movie (the 30 minute Japanese one) -Digimon Adventure: Our War Game -Digimon Adventure 02: Hurricane Touchdown
I think it is showing them in the picture because it is what the kids are imagining... I imagine they are trying to imagine kids just like themselves... Also I don't think they can necessarily die... The entire lesson the series is trying to teach you is that good will always defeat evil, that you must never give up hope, to stick up for what you believe in, and help kids with parents going through a divorce, kids who know they are adopted, kids going through a sate of depression, et cetera.
Michael Davis With that said I have a theory! Since they are not really alive and they are made of data which can be edited, does that mean that they could be reprogrammed to life again? Also maybe Tai was lucky enough to be sent to a different dimension? Maybe Tai was not completely there, and neither was Kari? In Supernatural there was a place called The Veil, it was where people went after you died before a reaper came to take them or if they became a vengeful spirit, and it took up the same space as the rest of the world but people in The Veil (under normal circumstances) couldn't be seen by anyone but people in The Veil. Assuming Tai and Kari were in something like The Veil, it would explain why only they could see the digimon. Plus some of these things are just holes in the plot that you should just not look at...
ツGoldsnipeGaming He said that they sealed the source of evil behind the wall of fire I.e Apocalypsemon And the dark masters were originally created by Apocalypsemon and the dark masters defeated the Original 4 Digidestined kids and sealed their holy beast digimons
I remember watching Digimon as a kid. In fact there's still an old VHS tape of the first season I had, still at my parents place. Good memories, but I don't have the time and commitment for long anime series these days.
Before going into the original digidestined, there's a new digimon series coming out next year, which is a direct sequel to Adventure/02, so we may get more information there. As for who the first five are, assuming that the 2015 series doesn't shoot this down, the original five digidestined were Taichi Yagami, Neo Saiba, Sigma, Mari Goutokuji, and Hideto Fujimoto. These five are all from Digimon Adventure V-Tamer 01, an alternate universe to the Adventures' universe. As for why they make the most sense; aside from being five (plus a human without a digimon partner or digivice) tamers just as the lore of the first digidestined were, there are multiple examples throughout all digimon series of cross-dimensional travel. A few basic examples are MedievalDukemon, Tai joining forces and meeting Ryo Akiyama, the main character of many digimon games (who also appears in both Adventure 02 and Tamers, which are themselves different universes (which is explained via the game "Brave Tamer") as an important character) and Tai meeting Takuya Kanbara, who is the main character of Frontier. And in Xros Wars, UlforceVeedramon mentions having once had a tamer. This tamer could only have been Taichi Yagami. UlforceVeedramon is also a royal knight, known to have travelled universes himself, including the Data Squad and the X Virus universe, in both cases having other series reference events of these two series through UlforceVeedramon's comments about it's memories. It also is known to only exist as a glitch, and since it's currently assumed that the same UlforceVeedramon that was Taichi's partner is also Rina Shinomiya's partner V.V. after it reverted to a digi-egg post-universe travel. It's also the only digimon to obtain Ulforce without being given it by Yggdrasill, with Ulforce being essentially the power to rewrite the entire digital world. It's also the only digimon who's Ulforce is stronger than that given by Yggdrasill, and it appears in nearly ever series except Adventure/02.
I love the Digimon animé!! I'm watching all seasons again before Digimon Fusion Season 2 comes out. Digimon, Digital Monsters, Digimon are the champions!
Interesting to note; Pokemon actually released AFTER Digimon, both here in the States and in Japan. Neither really copied the other, while having similar concepts, they're fundamentally different. Digimon is actually about how the world network has become a primordial soup for evolving organisms that have obtained sentience. Pokemon is an alternate universe where wildlife is more powerful than normal but can be befriended and tamed more easily. Both series focus heavily on values of friendship and working together for a common goal.
Once digi-destined, always digi-destined, In season 2, Tai and other kids went to Secondery School and got busy but Kari and Takeru were younger and still in Primary School, so, they have more time to deal with digi world.(By the way, these digi-destined looks like teenager but they are barely 10 years old?)
If you watched the episodes in season 2. Its stated that the crest of light and hope are special so only T.k and Kari were the only ones to use them. along with the reason stated with heikiu96z. I also think it was to keep some of the favorite digimon around with mixing in some of the new
azulongmon explained this in season 2. at the time, the dark towers built by the digimon emporer restricted digimon from digivolving, meaning that the original digidestineds are pretty much useless now since they can no longer digivolve. and thats why the "gods" of the digital world relied on an ancient digivolution instead, also known as the armor evolution, where digimons dont digivolve by themselves but "borrow" from the powers of the digi-eggs (digiegg of courage, friendship etc). but only certain digimons can use the armor evolution and from there they chose veemon, hawkmon and armadimon to become the new digidestineds, and from the orginal digidestineds, only patamon and gatomon can use the armor evolutions as well which explains why only TK and Kari are part of the digidestineds in season 2
One thing, the time in the Digital World at multiple points is shown that moves much faster than the time in the real world. If you've seen Digimon Xros Wars ( or Fusion in the US) it shows that there's many dimensions how all the other kids from Seasons 01-06 were in the same battlefield to try to get an item known as the Brave Snatcher. Going into your theory of those kids failing, MY theory is that those kids were the 5 kids from Digimon Frontier. They were from another dimension and perhaps the first ones called and there was no Digivices hooked up to eggs with crests as the technology during that time. The Digital World was literally a "new frontier" and the best the Angelic Digimon known as Orphanimon can do is send a message to kids via their cell phones to come by. The ones that were chosen actually got Digivices and the ability to fuse with Digimon Spirits. After they won at the end of Frontier and put an end to Lucemon they were sent right back home. During a BIG gap of time ANY new personification of evil could have tried to taken over and by then humanoid programs like Genai could have existed and tried to combat this evil now with manufacturing Digimon with Digivices and Crests to help in the Evolution process. It would be a lot less dangerous than letting kids turn into Digimon to fight.
Sharni Fisher care to reinstate that question? The best way I can reply to that if you mean the scene you see in Digimon Adventure is like that since at that point Frontier wasn't even a thought. However many games and animes do make prequals of events that happened before.
Wflores88 Just want to add that Digimon Brave Tamer first explains how the Digital World originated and diverged into multiple realities overtime(Also confirming there are different real worlds as well). Thats how Ryo, who originated in Adventure, left that world and ended up in Tamers.
rob19ny here is my question to you, has it ever been completed proven that it is the same Ryo? Sometimes creators make a background character in one World and decide when a sequal is made to actual push them to the foreground. A random example for many characters would be in Clamp Animes. There's a Syaoran Li in Cardcaptor Sakura and he is different than the Syaoran in Tsubasa Chronicle.
In the episode 53 itself, it mentioned the 5 digidestined were sent to stop darkness similar to the main antagonist in season 1. That darkness passed by some firewall, but it was most likely that they succeeded. But then why the 8 digidestined came in though? To put it simple, I watched the episode english subbed and it mentions that there was a prophecy that mention that the same darkness will appear again and cause distortions in the digital world, calling forth for new digidestined because the old ones probably grew older. So it wasn't a matter of completing a failed quest, it was a matter of bringing peace to the digital world AGAIN because the 5 previous ones did it for a set amount of times. This justifies the nature of the digital world, where evil will never cease to exist because of the influence of the negative human emotions have on digimon, causing the rise of many dark digimon to come.
And when you realize its impossible to get rid of the old evil ones also, you kinda get this Dark Souls kind of feel of world slowly dying. Or in this case turning more and more nightmarish.
I love Digimon because it has so many more references to mythology and occultism than Pokemon does. Digimon Fusion is definitely worth watching! Of course, every one of the seasons has something awesome about it, but when it comes right down to it, I love it because it's like Pokemon but more dark, intense, and psychological.
The 5 silhouettes shown when Gennai tells the season 1 kids of the past hint at the Frontier kids more than anything. Sure they didn't have partner digimon but to cut production costs they might've done that. This could actually be really connected, and the Spirit Evolution seems like a more primitive and basic evolution form than having digimon partners anyway.
Surprisingly no one seemed to have watched digimon adventure tri 4 The original that was shaped like the season 1 protagonists were obviously because purely the original 5 exists, they have no story until like 15 years later when they could remove the place holder images
I was a fan of the show growing up. I watch the first 4 generations of Digimon. 01, 02 Tamers, and Frontier. And I loved them in that order. I got older and might have started to grow out of Digimon by the time Frontier came around. I loved that 01 and 02 were one universe and Tamers was another. It was nice, and gave them the ability to retcon some things. Unlike Pokémon who has a tendency to say fuck it all give the unaging 10 year old the badge! Pokémon changed the rules and continuity was terrible. Having each generation be a different entity let the show refresh itself without being faithful or dishonoring the previous gen. As far as the original Digidestined in the first 2 shows? I always thought that it was some of the parents, and that the either lost or had their memories of the digital world wiped/removed, or it was blurred and became more vague as they grew up. But some could remember, or have distinct feelings about Digimon. I liked to thing it was both Matt and TK's parents, Izzy's "Mom" Tai and Kari's Dad, and possibly Cody's Dad. Ohwikawa(?) and Cody's father didn't create the Digital world, tey simply found acces to it thru their game station and possibly early internet. Hey it was the late 70's early 80's
The Digimon episode where everyone is turned into keychains always makes me think of the Pokemon episode when Sabrina turned Ash, Misty, and Brock into dolls.
The theory where Matt and TK’s dad is a DigiDestined was actually disproven. There was no mention in the subbed version, and it was all a continuity error in the dub.
I know this will not be seen, but this actually was addressed in Digimon Xros wars. Almost every version of Digimon we have seen has taken place in a separate in a different world / time. So Season 3 is separate from season 1/2, for example. In DXW, they end up bringing all the digidestined across multiple universes together to beat one of the enemies and it's explained there.
My theory is the reason why the picture looks like them is because it is there parents the digimon were there's but when they left the digimon were given to there children so that's why at episode one the digimon knew there names
I have seen every digimon anime over the years and in the first season in one of the episodes it was clearly stated by Jenny that, the digidesten where called to face a new evil that had come from the wall of fire or a fire wall, stateing that maybe the original digidesten didn't fail but another evil had come upon the digi world and was just not delt with immediately giving an opertunity to devimon to concer file island and etemon to make the dark network and allowing miotismon to go to the human world.
There might be a problem with this theory. Have to remember the time difference. in Season 1, One Digi-day = 1 minute in the real world. So Tai's group were in the digiworld for majority of season 1 60 days in the digiworld. Also it was stated that the original digidestined locked away a lot of evil behind the wall of fire. ALso for the theory in general for the parent's being digi-destined there are 525600 minutes in a year. THAT IS A SINGLE YEAR not even counting the many more when you decide how old Mat's dad is and when he came in. So in a single year 525,600 days pass in the digi-world. The time becomes 1:1 when they delete apoclypsemon.
Digimon Adventure Tri actually has flashbacks to the first trainers, and they lost to the Dark Masters in one flashback. So, I really loved how you managed to fix this theory up 4 years ago.
What episode was it?
@@SdotWebb it's like episode 4 or 5
I have a theory where there was one universe and the digidestined had to split the universe since that was the only way they could win maybe two of them were Izzy’s parents and sent him to the Adventures fraction
Plus it’s shown that daigo and maki are one of the 2 original
i know of 2 rules for digimon
1."this isn't even my final form" EVER
2. agumon forever
digimon is better then pokemon for one reason THERE IS STORY PROGRESSION
Pokemon is better than Digimon for one reason: THEY HAVE GOOD AND SUCCESSFUL GAMES
😗
Elayna Church i dont know about that since digimon games are really fun and are still being made
Joseph Wroblewski I know, I just wanted to make a point on how dumb this argument is 😝 (Do they have Digimon on the 3ds? I'd like to play a game 😗)
Elayna Church sorry but my argument is not dumb because the Pokemon anime has no story progression he is still 10 years old after how many season? unlike pokemon the charactars of digimon age and new ones appear and so on which how pokemonshould work but sadnly no.
I was always more of a Digimon fan as a kid... Everyone else loved Pokemon more...
Pokemon is ok. Digimon is better because new characters its got dark moments and the k8ds don't stay kids
To be fair Digimon came out before Pokemon (in Japan, Digimon came out first) although in Japan Digimon never used the term "Mega" for their Mega-Level Digimon (it was "Baby 1, Baby 2, Child, Adult, Perfect, and Ultimate" rather than "Baby, In-training, Rokkie, Champion, Ultimate, and Mega").
aggred i dont see why people say digimon is a copy they just go like "THEY BOTH END IN MON ONE MUST BE A COPY OF THE OTHER!"
Ppl just needs to do some homework
Megakabuterimon is a example, so mega pokemon might be copied from digimon
Dragon star it probably is and it's probably why everyone shut up about digimon being a copy of pokrmon
Digimon Anime >>>>>>>> Pokémon anime
+J Templar the digimon series is much better, even though I do love pokemon
+frankie rizzi Ditto, jjajaja, I know Digimon Anime > Pokemon, and in the there are some good Videogames but.... man if I were to choose videogames I would choose pokemon.
+oax the main reason digimon games
+Dong Lee (sliux109) "No repels" *Looks at Digimon Cyber Sleuth, High Security 3 = No encounters* I guess that means Cyber Sleuth >>>>> Pokemon games?
I hate to say this but the japanese version is beter than english, cause they forced jokes and dumb pop culture references
I always thought digimon is way better than pokemon and i'm still on this opinion ^^
I agree! Digimon is just better in my eyes
I agree. I enjoy both, but I love that Digimon makes more sense and is somehow connected to the real world.
Ok.
RedBlamage same
RedBlamage i can't agree or disagree.
Digimon adventure tri reveald the original digidestend fail to stop the evil
No, not really they this made to do something give the audience something else
Really love how your videos have improved so drastically over time, they're not just tolerable they're actually enjoyable.
Good work man.
digimon anime > pokemon anime
digimon games < pokemon games
digimon technecally came first with its toyline b4 pokemon did
But no matter what way you put it, Pokemon won the battle
technically smt is more old those of the creatures , monsters , collecting , fight and digital
Dex Holder Green no the pokemon anime after season one sucks....some are okay but
ratchetandclankfan2 that's your opinion but atleast X and Y looks promising, if Serena was brought in for any reason it was to help Ash win, Nintendo aren't idiots they know how to please their fans, besides the hoenn anime and sinnoh anime didn't suck Black and White did suck i will admit
i yea i honestly was thinking about XY while i wrote that.....black and white was the worst of them all
I know this video is old, but Tri actually explains what happened to the original Digidestined, their Digimon partners, and what happened to them. We also get to meet two members of the original Digidestined, now adults.
He was kind of right though, they failed to defeat the Dark masters.
@@விஷ்ணு_கார்த்திக் they didn´t fail.
@@pedroalgo3990 Yea they did, it was the Homeostasis who saved the day.
@@விஷ்ணு_கார்த்திக் same thing happened to the current digidestined hell they would’ve destroyed themselves
Oh, and they both died, let's not forget about that
Holy shit, your insane theory is actually TRUE.
The way they explained it went kind of like this.
!) In order to become digidestined, you have to see a digimon
2)This does not mean you'll become one, just that you have the chance to do so
3) the actually choosing is done by Homeostasis, otherwise known as the digital "powers that be"
4) It seemed implied that each of the chosen digimon were specifically created for each child, along with that child's digivice and crest
I love both animes, Digimon and Pokemon are awesome! Part of my chilhood! I rather Digimon when it's about story or anime as I rather Pokemon when is about games! But honestly, both are just cool! I liked your theory btw :)!
Its awesome of you to open your theories to other franchises great theory.
but proto do more digimon videos lol
Freaking love Digimon!
Matt's dad could have a small chance of being the original Digidestined, but you have to remember that in one episode, they said that the only reason everyone else except Kari and Tai were Digidestined is because they were freinds
Another theory which I think is kindda logical is the the frontier season came before the adventures one , for many reasons first the frontier is based in spirit evolution so it maybe was the old evolution method, also and this one is my theory, in Digimon Hunters when the other leaders from different seasons came , the oldman with that clockmon was asked about why this is happening and replyed with the same story of Digimon frontier ( “ There where 10 legendary Digimons who fought the evil themselves and returned peace to digital world “) so mostly the original digidestined or even before them we had Digimon frontier
cool
Heres a question. How can Game Freak Justify putting mega's into Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire when they stated in X and Y that it was a Kalo's exclusive thing?
Mega Evolution is the new thing. They were exclusive for Kalos only while X and Y were still new. I'm sure we're gna see a lot more Megas in the future(:<
Can't wait to see Megas for the Johto, Sinnoh, Unova, and Kalos starters! (:
Thanks for the shout out glad i could help
wooo more digimon theories plz ProtoMario
The Digi-destined partners feeling like fleshed out characters in there own right rather then accessory to the main characters is probably one its bigger strengths compared to the 4kids dub
the anvuture unvurise is not made by humans the tamer one is
He connects that with tamers. There the digital world was created by humens. In adventure not.
Who said the dub was canon? lmao the creators are Japanese, they don't give 2 fucks bout the dub.
Story wise it was before Taichi and the others and kind of led up to that, but to realize that it could be more accurate than I originally thought is just fascinating!
matt's father may be gabumons original partner
when a digimon dies the come back, their memories are forgotten
padamon was an expection along with biyomon in data squad who was able to remeber cristie
And they do not have to Digivolve to a certain thing, Gabumon can Digivolve to Greymon.
-_- HAXXXs
poodles4evr he could be thinking of the game Digimon world 3 where any Digimon can Digivolve into any Digimon by meeting certain criteria
yea
dusk or dawn version
Ah Digimon... makes me wish I could remember my childhood...
Lets all agree that they kinda strewed up with Xrowars.
And I butchered that didn't I?
Spelled so much wrong
xros wars was was a huge dissapointment and it only got worse with the hunters arc
Anything after season 4 is shit.
I don't know about that,
Frontier was awesome.
Data squad and what hell was it called
Help me out here you may know?
3 main digimon, a dog like one an Agumon with straps on his claws, and much different digivolved forms.
And another one though I don't recall
And even then Data squad was pretty decent, even compared to this new one(but it was just far different)
So Whats Worse? Digimon Xro Wars, or Yu-Gi-Oh Zexal?
Funny how Yugioh went from yami no games to card game on a motor cycle, Pokemon went from monster to Digimon, Digimon went from digial to a man knocking out ultimate state digimon by one punch.
I haven't seen Digimon in 10 years. Watching this video made me want to start watching it again, starting with the first episode of the original season. Thank you ProtoMario for reignighting my love for Digimon.
I'd recommend watching it subbed so you dont miss out on all of the removed character development.
- digimon movie - golden digi eggs
i prefer the digimon show but the pokemon games
mike ike sadly, i never played the digimon games. i have seen game play so i would have agree with you. not too sure about the games though i prefer the show.
Jerome Tanabe
being japanese myself, i've watched a quite a few though i was never really interested in naruto. also, digimon is an anime so saying that i've never watched one is quite silly of you. bleach, db, and other animes have changes in power level or modes that they have or do in order to get stronger whereas in digimon have to actually evolve into another being to become stronger. fairy tail doesn't have that, you're either strong or not. quit being silly.
This was great!! Will you make more digimon theories? loved every second of this.
Let´s see if we´ll get some more answers in the upcoming digimon tri.
It's confirmed! The original Digidestined failed in Digimon tri!
Way ahead of you proto, been watching digimon for a while now about to finish season 3
Awesome proto that you did a digimon epidode, i love digimon so THANKS
BUT PROTO! You should do some more digimon theories BUT PROTO! U can continue theorizing on the pokemon games and on the side do some digimon theories since the anime universe of digimon is way bigger and far more interestint than the pokemon one
im betting matts dad was one of the original digi destined considering he knew about gabumon
i grow up with pokemon and digimon; and i like both
sadly digimon only had 2 seasons while pokemon is stil going on
but hey i liked it c:
LOL 2 seasons, your ignorant......
yeah 2 seasons, im not japanese ! -_-
the other seasons never aired outside japan so yeah 2seasons so don't call me ignorant i know the whole Digimon series now but as a kid only season 1 and 2 came to me and then it stopped and it was until 2 years ago i found out the rest of the seasons aired only in japan so i watched them
jaimie de jongh They did all 6 seasons of digimon have now officially been dubbed and the sixth one consists of like 3 seasons within itself and is still running.
I think they did aired but that doesn't matter there are still more than 2 seasons that's the point, outside of Japan or not....
Well, actually.. Tamers is completely irrelevant. Tamers takes place in a different universe of Digimon.
Link2Hyrule25 b-but in tamers (been awhile) wasn't digimon adventurers a tv show? that shoulda showed that it was different
Digimon's better as an anime, while Pokemon is better as a game.
VicyLegendTamer a.k.a Nuhop
the team name is not only night claw its also night Crow i think its left over from the digimon game but can you really complain it still sounds epic
your level geyting reset is actually a good thing because they don't lose their stats unless you 're degenerating them but even then the stats end up better than they were before also the level going to 1 makes leveling up for like the first 10 levels much easie ryou can pretty much get to level 10 in one battle and you get all the stats up too.
Can you do an update to this with the new info in Tri?
"BUT PROTO....!" LOL
Yay great theory. Thank you because I was always wonder about that but now its cleared up.
What are you on about? The Eng dub of Digimon is aimed at kids as well. With your logic, Digimon isn't awesome either :v
***** No, i said that a Pokemon anime would be awesome if it was aimed at adults or teens. The digimon anime was aimed at kids but it still catered for older audiences with awesome villains and great fight scenes. Not to mention Myotismon literally seducing women and then drinking their blood. You wouldn't see that in Pokemon.
feathertopDT Yeah but most of those were implied.... XD
***** Haha i guess they can't actually show him drinking their blood. But you get my point :P
feathertopDT Yeah that wouldn't be kid friendly now would it? :P But yeah, I know what you mean... I'm rewatching ep21 of 02... so sad :/
is there any chance you could re-upload this and lower the backgroung music? it's hard to hear your voice sometimes :)
It's very hard for me to determine the proper volume for music because when I was in the Army I worked around Aircraft, so I am partially deaf now, shooting without earplugs while deployed half the time didn't help either. I will set up a back up channel, and upload the non-music versions of these theories as well.
thanks :)
I loved season 1 and 2 of Digimon, I watched about 3 episodes of Tamers and got incredibly bored so I haven't seen the rest of them now.
Yeah, digimon tamers start off slow, but let it get to the "Sovereigns arc" and it´ll pay of. Beelzemon vs Gallantmon is a must see x3
I advise to watch Digimon Adventure, Digimon Adventure 02, Digimon Tamers and Digimon Savers. Basically, anything but Digimon Frontiers and Digimon Xros Wars. Those too are too childish compared to the others, in my opinion.
Season 3 got really dark really quick after the sovereigns saga.
Ryan Radford Tbh Season 3 was one of my favourite seasons of digimon due to the plot. It started slowly but then it was really good towards the end.
I completely agree
I'm a big Pokemon fan, and to say I really enjoy Digimon.
Did all of you including you, proto just watch the fucking saban dub? How are you a fan if you never have seen the original subbed version?
ibondurmom In my country it's difficult to watch that.
better than any 4kids dub of anything ever. and the Dub isn't the only thing on Netflix, they also have the Sub, showing that they have the fan's best interest at heart.
***** Well its still geared around kids so what you should be looking at is what wasn't changed like the sexual inuendos and Venom Myotismon prophosy
Right, we get the garbage games. Shoot man Pokemon kills Digimon!
lol butt
yea i love it to i even play the korean digimon masters online game xD and hopefully soon they will start with digimon games again soon
Last Moment:
Jirachi:Max, I have to go.
I wished they would've made a decent digimon video game
DMO
Digimon Masters Online
Digimon world ( series) is awesome, there are tones of licensed games but there are alot of fan stuff coming out recently too, give them a check! There is one that is being worked on but using a bit of pokemons design and stuff but there is also one called "Digimon, your digital dream"and it's effing amazing and i'm playing it right now as i type this in fact. still recently new to the game though.
Makkaru112 I'll have to try it!
It seems to get a lot of shit from what I've seen, but I'm personally big into Digimon World Dawn and Dusk.
There's lots of them ;)
There is another possibility, although it's never explicitly stated in the show.
+FrozenWolf150 Except Vamdemon.He was always a bitch.
umm....the first kids won. its said that they did but a new evil came from behind that wall of fire. I believe that season 4 takes place in the same universe as season 1 and 2 but before that happens. this is my Theory.
yhat can tbe one seoans 4 kdis thinsk abot rika so no dam way seoan4 happen fist
I used to watch Digimon a lot when I was younger but I slowly drifted away from it as time passed
but Proto Digimon Sucks!
man that made me laugh
Proto if a digimon game just been released the same time pokemon x/y came out which one would you choose to buy?
I hate season two of digimon. only because there was a very annoying discontinued plot, the ruler of the dark ocean which Kari was sent to. I would've also liked to see a continuation to adventures where their children take over saving the digital world and their digimon possibly digivolving into different species from their parents digimon
About the point that if they die in the digital world they are transported to the real world, in the Etemon arc, Izzy did say that anything that happens to them in the digital world would probably damage their actual bodies.
Proto, your theory is really nice, but isn't what happened, in reality, the "first" Digidestined group was formed by two guys (Ken Ichijouji and Ryo Akiyama) and the first villain who "broke" the balance between good an evil was Milleniummon (as was shown on the game series "Digimon Anode & Cathode Tamer/02 Tag Tamers/02 D1 Tamers/Brave Tamer"), Milleniummon was too powerful to be destroyed by ENIAC or ABC (the computers that "gave birth" to the digital world) so two kids from the real world were called to defeat it, they destroyed the body of Milleniummon, but even doing this they failed (there is a scene on Digimon Adventure 02 were Ken is dreaming about a fight in a desert, the silhouette of the digimon who has an "Golden Dragon-like" aura is Milleniummon and the destruction of his body caused it to explode, and the scattered pieces were "absorbed" by Ken, and that's the origin of the "Darkness Seeds"), since then, as Milleniummon had vanished, the timeline of the anime begun, and Apocalymon became the "new" villain, and his influence caused the apparition of digimons like Myotismon, Etemon and the Dark Masters, but when the movie "Our War Game" begun, Milleniummon resurfaced, now in the form of "MoonMilleniummon", Ryo Akiyama was called again to stop him, but he was unable to kill it (as MoonMilenniummon and his evolved form, ZeedMilleniummon, had complete control on timetravel, he was effectively immortal), so Ryo combined Justimon and ZeedMilleniummon on a single digitama, and transported himself to other dimension (Digimon Tamers Timeline) and there he trained his Monodramon/Cyberdramon on supressing the ZeedMilleniummon persona.
that would mean that ryo has an adopted father in tamers.
Tamer aren't in the same universe as Adventure. Also, there were originally 5 children, just look at the picture.
I know this is a 5 month old comment but Ryo from Tamers is part of the Adventure cannon. While technically they are not in the same universe what Lucas said is part of games I think were never released outside of japan.
the first tamers were already revealed in digimon tri cy@
Mohd Syafiq Abdul Malik they also said quite the same thing in the dub but they never stated about winning just rhe wall of fure
digimon copied pokemon...but then around gen 5 or 6 pokemon started copying digimon : p
Digimon never copied digimon ever other than the concepts of both franchises being based on using monsters to fight something. But the second half is too true!
Nintendo help made digimon so technically digimon didn't copy pokemon
Wasn't Digimon based on the tamagochi toys? Does Pokemon anything have to do with that?
in japan digimon came out first but pokemon came out the month after
+kalamar roki Nintendo was helping them make it and their is a huge diffrence in playing digimon and pokemon have you ever played either one?
I was just wondering if that theory work for digimon frontier? Or do you have a different theory for that?
I'd love to see more Digimon Theories. Here's a question, Is What kind of program is Jedi, the old man of season 1, suppose to be? Is he even a digital being like the digimon?
I think the original digidestined were actually shown in the digimon movie. It was told that the digidestined in season 1 were chosen because they saw the fight between Greymon and Parrotmon. BUt they were other kids who saw the fight who weren't one of the characters. So that could've been them
1.) in Digimon Adventures Tri we actually meet another kid who was there
2.) go watch the original japanese versions of the three movies that were Frankenstein'd together and butched to make the digimon movie.
-the Digimon Adventure movie (the 30 minute Japanese one)
-Digimon Adventure: Our War Game
-Digimon Adventure 02: Hurricane Touchdown
Didn’t Jedi say that the original digidestands beat all evil but it came back
I might be wrong tho
ツGoldsnipeGaming
He said that they sealed the source of evil behind the wall of fire I.e Apocalypsemon
And the dark masters were originally created by Apocalypsemon and the dark masters defeated the Original 4 Digidestined kids and sealed their holy beast digimons
I think I might start watching this series, thanks proto
I remember watching Digimon as a kid. In fact there's still an old VHS tape of the first season I had, still at my parents place. Good memories, but I don't have the time and commitment for long anime series these days.
Wait a second, what happens if you put a pocket monster in a computer? It becomes digital, so it is a digital monster or... ILLUMINATI CONFIRMED!
Me too!
Can you do more digimon theorys. Like why are Kari and TK in the next digidestine if they were in the first digidestine?
Once digi-destined, always digi-destined, In season 2, Tai and other kids went to Secondery School and got busy but Kari and Takeru were younger and still in Primary School, so, they have more time to deal with digi world.(By the way, these digi-destined looks like teenager but they are barely 10 years old?)
Sure
Brian Yap this is in the episode where azulongmon first appeared btw
Wait a minute Yamato’s dad created digimon?
Wflores88 that makes so much sense but why show digimon with the oringinal digi destin if they were from frontier and didnt require digimon.
Sharni Fisher care to reinstate that question?
The best way I can reply to that if you mean the scene you see in Digimon Adventure is like that since at that point Frontier wasn't even a thought. However many games and animes do make prequals of events that happened before.
aww yeah I see I didnt think of that
Wflores88 Just want to add that Digimon Brave Tamer first explains how the Digital World originated and diverged into multiple realities overtime(Also confirming there are different real worlds as well). Thats how Ryo, who originated in Adventure, left that world and ended up in Tamers.
rob19ny
here is my question to you, has it ever been completed proven that it is the same Ryo?
Or in this case turning more and more nightmarish.
proto I got a theory/question what is the difference between Pokémon ranger trainers and the ones from games like Pokémon rangers shadows of almia?
I love Digimon because it has so many more references to mythology and occultism than Pokemon does. Digimon Fusion is definitely worth watching! Of course, every one of the seasons has something awesome about it, but when it comes right down to it, I love it because it's like Pokemon but more dark, intense, and psychological.
Can I upload a german translated version?
In reality Matt's father had no idea who Gabumon was, that was a choice by the DUB to make him more intresseting
As a digi fan this vid caught me off guard hahah. Nice vid.
I always considered that at first. I still like this theory though.
Surprisingly no one seemed to have watched digimon adventure tri 4
The original that was shaped like the season 1 protagonists were obviously because purely the original 5 exists, they have no story until like 15 years later when they could remove the place holder images
There is definitely lots of evidence proving this theory correct.
The Digimon episode where everyone is turned into keychains always makes me think of the Pokemon episode when Sabrina turned Ash, Misty, and Brock into dolls.
does the digital world receive updates?, because every season you see new digimon as well as older ones and new areas.
The theory where Matt and TK’s dad is a DigiDestined was actually disproven.
There was no mention in the subbed version, and it was all a continuity error in the dub.
I absolutely loved the first two seasons when they originally aired. back in 1999? I think?
How time flies...
Thank for covering this
Hey Proto! You should check out Tri as it shows the creation of the Sovereigns and actually goes into some detail on the original Digidestined.
I didn't realize your doing theories aside from Pokemon. Interesting indeed :)
I have several, Plants VS Zombies, MEGA Man, and Zelda, as well as this.
neat :) mind if I ask for one involving avatar, or are you too busy?

I have to be cautious of which ones I do, based on the good ole copy-right.
well is a theory about Avatar: The Last Airbender okay to ask about?

I'll have to research the images.
