- Florida isn't for everybody! A lot of People Are Feed up and are saying good bye Florida, are leaving and moving back to wherever. That's okay. Leaving Florida is not a bad thing for some.
The question is, why are they leaving Florida?

Good info as usual. You are 100% correct regarding the roofing claims as well as the rest of your video.
I'll take the copper plumbing in an old house over the cheap PVC plumbing in a new home any day. New houses are cheaply constructed. In 15 years a new home has as much maintenance costs as an old home, that was built with quality materials. Construction materials the use now are pretty junky.
A lot of the new homes in Florida are in HOA communities. I won't even consider an HOA. They are bad news, unless you like nosy people with control issues and big egos.

@@Patrick-yh5yd I could go on and on. New homes are not built to last. Thru are built to make the developer a lot of money. Corners are cut. Slap some fake brick on the front on the front, and crown molding on the interior, and pretend it's a great product.

I would only rent in Florida at the moment, not buy. When the conditions are right to buy again like I did in 2011, then I'll consider buying in Florida once more.

Ummm... All states have in migration and out migration. You have to look at the net in or out migration. Florida has a much higher net in-migration than the out-migration.
There are to many people because they all want to live there, it's simple.
More people want to live in California.

Well don’t move to CA $2000 to $4000 for a one bedroom apt. Buying? Very old housing more affordable starting at $400,000 & up for a total fixer upper with 2 small bedrms & 1 bath. 900 sq ft. travel 5 miles is about 20 min. There is also an abundance of homeless & crime if you’re ok with that. Florida still sounds better than So CA. Nothing is the same as 10 years ago anywhere. Ins company are also pulling out of CA. including car ins. You know what cost money, billions paid to foreign countries, and illegals while middle America get no break, no free money.
People are stupid if they move without doing homework.

Actually, it is for every 600 people moving in, 300 are moving out. The pandemic is over. Florida is screwed. Insurance, taxes, etc. Check your current stats.
2 years and we are done with FL we loved the weather and ocean and parks - but FL is way over priced and seriously over taxed with 3x the national average inflations - cheaper to pay state income tax and reasonable real-estate tax and get a cleaner better run state. Too much poverty that is totally ignored by sensible and humane support laws. Insurance way too expensive thanks to stupid laws that helped cheaters (vs the popular belief that its all due to tornados, these are only the cover and enabler for all the cheating). Too much ignorance (videos covid comment sadly shows an example of this, but not saying all comments are wrong, most are right on) Too much arrogance about how good we have it here, look around those days are long gone, what you have is too much government in our lives (school books, female body rights, …..) - Total ignorance on environmental effects, Tampa burns coal for electricity - really????, No real incentives for EVs, really sad to see this in the state that will and already is most impacted! Million dollar house quality is very very poor, not even close to worth the price. Very sad as the state has the ability to be the most attractive state if we can ignore that the state is going to physically shrink as the ocean levels flood more and more of the state :(. Unfortunately, now that both spanish networks have joined the ranks of Fox, and are now seriously right leaning propaganda networks for a hand full of ultra rich and selfish owners the state is screwed as only the ultra rich (aka the multi mega yatch ownesr) will be seeing help from govt, the average millionaire and below get screwed! Very sad, was soo looking forward to FL and the wonderful international culture, oceans and many attractions, but its not worth the price!

Hi Cynthia - not really i used to vote for the candidate not the party and hope to one day do so again. I beg you to look at the news of the opposing party too and then make up your own mind item by item, (try ground news (app) it shows what each side and center is reporting for the same incidents, its amazing how different the spins are) you will likely see that both sides lie and instead you have to use your judgement after seeing both sides to see where the truth lies - you will see that the people (dems and republicans) want a lot of the same for the country, but each side is being lied to and made to be scared by their respective media to hide the crap politicians do on both sides to stuff their pockets - please look at what happened with the recent border legislation as an example. Have open calm and respectful dialog with people with opposing views and you will see we mostly want the same for our country and families but are doing opposite things because of the AI manipulated bubbles we are all in, and unfortunately until facebook, youtube, truth social, X etc… AI algorithms are regulated the country will only become more divided and aggressive :(
Unfortunately that is what we are doing, tried the dream, but it is not the dream any more, imagine your place without homestead that is what transplants have to deal with, we paid less paying state taxes and real-estate taxes (no homestead protection). Public schools were decent not great, but here we could only consider private or home school so reality is the wonderful things florida has are not able to offset the negatives :(
