      On other side, I think they should choose the pit that doesn't already included caffolding and such equipments. It doesn't really worth it if a parkour/escape challenge has done by equidments supports (door frames, caffolding...). They should just overcome it by themselves or minimum outside tools.
      I mean in a real life situation everything counts but for people at their skills level, it isn't worth to escape it by equidments (especially for those things that help cover 1/2 the height of that wall) unless he's the last one remains in the pit.

    I'm a climber and I am super impressed. I can't imagine doing all the parkour movements and stunts you guys perform. Static climbing is the complete opposite of parkour. With climbing, we usually know our own capabilities and the degree to which a hold is stable for us to make upward movement on. We know if we're able to comfortably hold our entire weight using only the first pad of our fingertips and pull up. However, when you add dynamic movements, it becomes alot more uncertain. I personally won't execute a move unless I have full control. Good call out regarding the concrete landing. There are no pads and I doubt most climbers know how to fall and roll properly. With bouldering, most of us are taught to land on both feet and roll backwards (with a pad). No way we could do it that way with concrete. All the precise parkour movement, jumps, and landings you guys practice and execute are so amazing to watch. I wish I could learn parkour and also do all this urban climbing with you guys. It looks like so much fun! I wish you continued success and speedy recoveries (for the injured folks). Much love!

      Seconded from another climber. Very impressive climbing. Slopey crimps, trainers, dynamic movement, and no possibility to rehearse properly. The spatial awareness these guys have to understand how big a jump is, what kind of movement is needed. Would be very useful for climbing, to get things in fewer attempts. Also the all-limbs-at-once body control.

    That pole made me think of something I saw In Vikings: Walhalla. In episode 8 at 29:05 they had people scaling city walls by running up them while holding a pole in teams of 3 people. They ran to the wall together while holding the the pole at waist height on their side, one in the front, two at the back. The one in the front would run up to wall in one motion as if he was doing a wall run, but didn't fall back because of the support from the pole. You guys should try this for one of these challenges.

    The scaffold end sections will stack together if you remove the castors. The two remaining casters on the bottom section should lock. Combined they would give you about 8', 2-1/2 meters of frame to climb.

      Having built many tower scaffolds in my time I was thinking the same lol. Like I could get out of there in probs about 15 minutes on my own with basically a big ass ladder. I suppose if you don't know you don't know.

    • @jeffreygordon7194
      @jeffreygordon7194 2 года назад +12

      @@ZG0002 Yeah, but they knew, right? Are we supposed to believe there was a full set of scaffolding down there and they ignored the option of just assembling it and using it as intended? It's silly. They rented that scaffolding and placed it in the place that they obviously had permission to use.

    • @exterminatordj3901
      @exterminatordj3901 2 года назад +6

      @@jeffreygordon7194 or they didn't just want to cheat the video and end it in 10 minutes with them not using parkour and just building scaffolding the whole time? stop trying to just assume everything is faked

    • @jeffreygordon7194
      @jeffreygordon7194 2 года назад

      @@exterminatordj3901 Okay. So you're saying you think they pretended to not know they could use the scaffolding so that the video was more dramatic. But they weren't pretending that they didn't put it there. Also they weren't pretending that they didn't have permission to be there. So it's partially fake, but not completely fake in your opinion.

    Less than 3 minutes in and I'm like "this is great". Very entertaining and quite a bit of tension with the 'leaps of faith' from Toby & Drew. Catapult was great and Calum's was a relief - especially having to do a scaffolding apprenticeship beforehand!!

    There's a decommissioned prison in Shrewsbury (there are probably many, just I'm aware of this one as it's not too far from me and visited for a tour), it's open to the public for tours, escape rooms and been used for some films/tv series. They are relatively active on social media, I'd say worth getting in touch about using the prison for a video attempting to escape, nothing to lose. Good luck and keep up the quality videos.
