    Well I got myself the cordless Toro snow shovel this year and really like it. It is battery operated and clears the snow good enough for me and the battery lasts long enough for me to get all the areas cleared. I did not want units with power cords that I would have to drag around all the time, even though they maybe somewhat stronger in the amount of snow they clear.
    Thanks for the video.

    I have a kobalt battery operated 40v snow shovel. It’s heavy, that’s for sure . On a full charge, in powdered snow, I’ll get about 15 minute run time. Then it starts shutting off after it hits the snow.

    First tip for buying a powered snow shovel should be: DO NOT BUY A CORDED UNIT!!!
    Imagine how miserable it would be dealing with a stiff froze extension cord in the wind, cold and snow.

    • @KStewart-th4sk
      @KStewart-th4sk 6 месяцев назад +2

      You can buy power cords that are rated for very EXTREME low temperatures. You can also purchase such cable in bulk and make your own extension cord keeping in mind that it is also bought in the proper AWG for the application. Why so many people don't know these things is beyond me, as evidenced by the upvotes to your comment!!!

      Yes and having to worry about whether or not you're gonna catch it in your snowblower. I have a Snow Joe Snow shovel. But, it has a battery & it works great. So much better than snow shoveling, seriously. it was actually so much fun I think I was smiling the first few times I was shoveling the snow out there lol... And even though the novelty has kind of worn off it is still kind of fun.

And it's actually fun to shovel!........ At least that's coming from someone that has shoveled my whole driveway & all my all my sidewalks my whole life with an actual shovel. These all seem to have one drawback...the snow always goes vertically in front of you. It just blows the snow back on the path you just cleared. Just add a vent that directs the snow slightly sideways!

      you can just push it forward, but direct the snow throwing path diagonally... if that makes sense? So you're still walking straight but you kind of angle of the snow throwing path diagonally a little bit if that makes sense sorry I hope I'm describing that correctly.

      I have a Toro that has to be 50 yrs or more old, my Mom bought it. It's corded and can be a pain but it gets the small jobs done on patio etc. Shoots the snow nicely if not too high. The only issue I have had is with the cord, had to fix twice since I had it. I would say it's a well built machine. Wish it could direct the snow etc. Only forward.
