It has been a long time since we first played this one - I had forgotten it was even on the Xbox 360 with so many games in between. I picked it up and had a “HOLD UP THIS IS FEZ!” moment and then proceeded to lose my entire evening (gladly!). Let me know what you think of this one and comments are always appreciated! Mark

An absolute perfect game to get lost in. I still remember some of the secret language.
Very excited firstly, only to be disappointed and disturbed to find the words fuck the police throughout polytron’s Twitter! Being based in Montreal, it must be convenient to call for petitions against the very people protecting impoverished, dangerous communities while thousands of miles away! This is unfortunate since the game looks special! But this is a pass for me and anyone who truly cares for minority business owners and less for vapid virtue signaling!!
It’s kind of unbelievable how an indie game from almost 10 years ago is still so good today. The polish is incredible

It’s a bonafide classic. I own it on everything it’s available for as it seems to be part of my life like a great album or movie. I would love a physical release of this. The music is just next level. It was my first introduction to Disasterpeace. I have most of his work now too. I couldn’t imagine this game without the soundtrack. If you haven’t guessed I love this game.
I wanted to post something along these lines but you pretty much said what I wanted. This game is very much a part of my life.
There is a physical release, looks awesome but not on switch though.

My god. I had all but forgotten this game. It's one of the best gaming experiences I've had to be honest, thanks for reminding me. One of the purest entertainment as art experiences out there.
Never been able to place this but now I have the chance. I love the switch for all the old titles that it’s bringing back into the spot light

Fez looks so amazing. Great review. I was curious before your video and now I’m sold. I’m going to buy it right now. It’s nice to have an amazing chill game. I’ve played 800 hours of Animal Crossing during the pandemic but I’m a little tired of it right now and looking for all kinds of different games. Animal Crossing is amazing but I need something new to play when I’m tired and just want to relax. I find it very difficult to find a relaxing game that’s amazing and I love.
I bought this game on steam for Mac, then again years later for my PS Vita. After seeing this review and it reminding how truly rare it is to have a game that just nails it on every level, I might have to do a hat trick on this one. Soundtrack is absolutely stunning and I recommend picking it up on Bandcamp or iTunes as well.

I also played this on the Xbox 360 and it was, and still is one of my top 5 gaming experiences. I adored this game back when it released and even more so now. Every now and then a truly unique and amazing game comes along and Fez is one of those games. What a masterpiece! The soundtrack is available online and......just like the game, is a masterpiece 😊

I've never played this game. I wasn't sure if I wanted to buy it with only a 10% off sale but you've sold it to me. I'm not sure how I didn't get around to playing it last decade.

Great review I was happy to see this game come to the switch I am picking up today cant wait to play thanks for the e video I was interested in making sure it did not have any big bugs witch could happen but I was not expecting it to thanks again
FEZ and the Switch are the most iconic duo since Siegfried and Roy.

After seeing indie game the movie, this was always on the back of my mind. Really unfortunate this guy got canceled. He seemed to be strugling with a lot of issues. Like most genius people do. I hope this get a physical release so it can get a nice spot in my collection.
Why he got cancelled?
@@sparkypack he became super famous for an indie game developer after Indie Game:The Movie. He was heavily criticized for some posts on social media. After an online argument with a game critic, he announced that he would no longer be working on the sequel to Fez and was quitting the industry for good.

This is one of my all time favourites and probably one of the best games ever made. Finally bought it on switch in the last sale and replaying it is an incredible joy

Thank you for this review. I missed out on the original release and eventually purchased Fez brought the apple store. I never have liked touch controls in games so I was thrilled to see this come out on the Switch. Definitely a must buy for me!

I didn't know this game had been on the 360(of course I never really got into playing games on the 360) but I saw it on the eshop earlier today and the short clip I saw of the gameplay made me smile..not alot of games do that anymore,so I'm definitely picking this one up..I was surprised you guys gave it such a high score..that's one reason I like this channel is you guys are truthful,if a game sucks or certain parts of it suck you come out and say so..since you guys gave this game such a high score I know that I won't be wasting my money with this one and you have affirmed my initial feeling of it when I saw the gameplay 😁

I got it for FREE a year ago or so for Mac directly from the developers. They offered the game free to everyone on Mac and PC
I was out of playing games for a few generations, the newest home console I had prior to my switch was the og Xbox, so I missed so much. Love that ports like this are coming to the switch and helping me to catch up on the classics. Back in the room now and following this review I've picked Fez straight up
Played this back in the day and it is an amazing experience. If you haven’t played it then you should definitely jump on it now and it’s a perfect title for the switch. Happy gaming

Fez is SUCH a good game. The sense of depth while still LOOKING 2D is just... wow. Really hope this does well on Switch. Shame we won't get a sequel.
Please do "There is No Game: Wrong Dimension" next. I played the first one years ago and was so happy when I saw the sequel was coming to the Switch.
Back in the day I was too busy playing Grand Theft Auto to check this one out. Now, this looks perfect. Excellent review, I'm going to pick this up. It reminds me of Toads Treasure tracker, which surely was inspired by this game.

I was in love with the demo on xbla as a child but never had the $15 to blow on it. I already had an Xbox One by the time I could dream that dream. So glad to see this game comeback and I can’t wait to finally get into it.
I love the game. Great Review! I have this on Vita. I was pleasantly surprised to see in pop up in the roundup at the end of the direct. I’ll pick it up in a sale at some point, since I already own it elsewhere.

What a heavenly game! I bought it back in the day on the Xbox 360 and on PC, next on PS4 and now again on the Nintendo Switch. It's a testament to how good this game actually really is from the sound(track), gfx to gameplay, it's one of the OG indie darlings!

Bought it day one back on the Xbox 360. Didn't know it was on Switch, i just bought it now on the Switch store, great game made even greater now i can revisit it and play on the go.
I am so tempted to buy Fez again I have it on the 360 and yet to complete it, yup sitting in my back log on that console too lol

Just bought this in the sales..£6.48…an absolute bargain…so nice to play something that doesn’t punish you ( as you reported in your review) as I’m not good at most games, but truly love this game . Thank for your review, even though a year old now, but still counts

while this game is obviously inspired by 3d super mario games, captain toad is totally the copy of fez.
@@TheLightlessMoon I don’t doubt that at all after hearing how old this game is🙂 I’d just never heard of it until I saw this review. The Captain Toad game came with my switch when I bought it and I really enjoyed it, so I think I might get this one too.
@@TheLightlessMoon Captain Toad isn't really the same thing. The switching doesn't do anything to the environment, it just helps discover/see things better. Even then I think they said they were inspired by those cube dioramas (I forgot the name of it), and Rubix cubes. Nintendo usually doesn't get inspired by other games but by real world objects and concepts.
Fez feels closer to Super Paper Mario, which came out before Fez but I don't think they really inspired each other.
@@KaiserGX really? Anyone can easily see that BotW is mostly inspired by Skyrim, Assassin's Creed and many other open world games.

I absolutely loved this game on the Xbox, and I will absolutely be picking this one up on Switch. As another commenter says, the Switch and indie games is a perfect match, and what I primarily use the console for.

It's on PC also. Hopefully it'll be released on the XSX in 4k 60fps - I'd prefer that solution or accept the Switch version if it goes on sale (bigger reduction 'cos I'm tight). Great review, thanks. Now I can add Fez to my wishlist.
I remember looking at the icon on App Store and wasn’t even bothered to check what it was. Not sure if that was a good move, but I aim to rectify that mistake as this looks absolutely amazing
