Every time Rand talks about his personal life I get so sad. Spending the holidays alone playing games in his basement is about as depressing as life can get. 😢
If they come out with a cyberpunk 2, i just want them to deliver what they promised in some of the early interviews. Which is a city that is heavily dense, you can open every door and really explore. I gave cyberpunk an 8 but i palyed it at launch. I didn't have many issues couple little bugs like cars flying or npc behaviors weren't consistent.
The bit about gamers watching gaming videos more than gaming makes sense for me anyway. I listen to videos or even podcasts like this one while at work which takes up like 8 hours of my day, then when I go home I gotta share the system with other family or do non gaming things. No time to be a gamer it seems.

People complain about actor's like The Rock being The Rock in every movie, he's a leading man actor, not character actor, studio's pay for the rock, same with Tom Cruise, Brad Pitt, Kenue Reeves.

Nah I disagree with your take on FF. I know people that get halfway in Persona 5 and drop it because the dungeons are rinse-repeat and extremely easy. I adore that every FF tries something new because this means that everyone has a different favorite Final Fantasy. I love FF8 for the story and setting, I love FFXV for the combat and soundtrack and I love FFXIV for the insane amount of content.
I think Microsoft is being very careful with how they implement ABK into Game Pass because they are all about return of investment with it. Warcraft 1/2/3 remasters just dropped or is coming out and it’s not in Game Pass. They havnt put the old Diablos in Game Pass cause they want you playing 4 and spending money. The old Call of Duty’s would take away from the new one and $$$, I think the only time of year they might release the 360 ones is the last 3-4 months before a new one releases so hopefully the novelty has run out and people jump into the new one. They’re using ABK game library to save money on spending on 3rd party for Game Pass and throwing 1 bigger title in here and there. Hopefully they’re working on the contracts for old back compat games but I wouldn’t be suprised if when they dropped a bunch that you had to buy them first and then piece meal the rest of them.

FF being experimental wasn't an issue back in 90s/early 00's as game development was faster and cheaper, so they could put out a mainline numbered title or spinoff every 1-2 years. If someone didn't like a game in the series, it was a short wait until the next one, which they might like due to how different each is. It was a strength of the brand that they didn't only appeal to one group's taste, that they had given a wider number of people a taste of something they like, so that they'll keep coming back hoping for that hit. Nowadays though we have to wait 5-7 years between mainline entries, with only a remake trilogy of one older game in place of spinoffs like we used to get. Given the divisive natures of XIII, XV, and XVI it's quite likely that a fan of older titles in the series could dislike all three of them...which means that of the non-MMO titles they'd have gone 18 years since the last somewhat traditional FF in XII. XVII isn't going to be out for a long while, past 2026, so could easily be over two decades of not liking a mainline non-MMO FF, if they even like or want to invest time in FFXIV which many won't. FF would be the biggest fumbled bag in gaming if Dragon Age didn't exist
Dustin Hoffman, Gary Oldman, Billy Bob Thornton, Tim Curry, Brendan Fraser, Sebastian Stan, Sarah Paulson, Austin Butler, Jamie Foxx, … hell, even Tom Cruise as Ron Kovic just off the top of my head have all played either at or above Ledger’s and Farrell’s level of chameleon-like acting ability. They’re all great.
There is a very simple way to make the xbox handle "open" and make it cheap too. Have all pc stores in BUT make gamepass ultimate a requirement to play any game outside of xbox store.
@counterstriker3971 you can't have other stores with consoles so that would be an upgrade. After all almost everyone with an xbox has gamepass anyway, that will be just a way to make sure that if someone is buying your low price pc like console they will be buying from your store or will be paying for gamepass otherwise they can get a normal pc
I don't understand why people upset about Google and apple not letting Xbox in they store and charging . Ms Sony and Nintendo charge publishers to put they games on they store. It's how they make money and they make money on in game purchases . But someone how that wrong for Google and apple to want the same thing for apps ? It's like target having a Walmart section in they store and Walmart doesn't have to pay target anything for being in they store and taking up space. That doesn't make sense really
