- Hey Guys! In today's video I am talking about the modification I made to my vintage Rolex Explorer 114270. This modification is an extension link that is very similar to that of the Rolex "easylink." This mod is from Steel Reef and they make a host of extension and half links for models from Rolex, Omega, Tudor, Grand Seiko, Zenith, and more. I would highly recommend checking them out (see link below).
If you are someone who is looking to add a modern feature to your vintage or neo-vintage Rolex, this modification is for you.
Let me know in the comments if you would ever modify your Rolex or other luxury watch.

I do not own all photos shown, and do not claim to.
I have a BB58 blue & I’m doing some research on the Steel Reef link for it. I already have the Uncle Seiko half-link on it so I’m not too concerned with the mod. I’m a bit disappointed that Tudor didn’t consider these things themselves that make the watch more wearable!
Is the steel reef link the same length as the Rolex link you removed?
Yes exact same length
@ perfect. Thank you. I have ordered one.
@ I think you will really enjoy it. It served me very well. A friend of mine also got one for his Tudor and it’s great as well.
very cool!
Modding a rolex today is wearing it and not flipping it.
haha that’s a great point

I used the Explorer II in the thumbnail since I use the normal Explorer a lot. The same modification can be done to the Explorer II.
@@HelloMrGold the older models of that watch would need the modification
