all i can say is excellent story
The ridiculous aspect of this is the idea that humanity would feel ashamed for destroying aliens bent on our genocide.
The shame is the damage Humanity inflicted and they didn't care.
ya the winners don't go back and say, we will never win a war like that again. It would be like the nazi's saying that if they won and best believe USA would drop another nuke if necessary.
Only a sociopath would not care for applying maximum destruction and bloodshed out of vengeance.

ever read/heared the story of" out of cruel space" thats one of the longer and better storys who would make some fine movies with more than 4-5 parts

a wonderful story that has far too much truth in it to deny although many would try.
Fear is how you know you are still alive. Courage is being afraid and still going anyways.
This story resonates a lot with me as I try not to fight. I cry when I have to and those who see it as weakness and press me to actually have no other choice but to fight soon regret what they make me do. Of all the times I've had to fight Twice I have let go of restraint and both times the person was carried off in a ambulance unconscious. Like this story it is not the person I have to fighting that I'm afraid of, It's is the knowledge of what I can do to the person that is my fear and causes me to cry.
You can't go through life being someone's doormat. Many times people tried to do that to me since I'm short and scruffy. I've always found some way to make them regret their efforts. I've never had to put anyone in the hospital, only twice in my life actually struck a blow, but I was able to put enough fear and confusion into the rest to make them all stand down and leave me alone. My suggestion, for what it's worth, is to find a good dojo where you can learn how to fight with your mind and never have to hit anyone. Good luck to you. --Bob

I can relate; In the last year of secondary schooling - now about half a century ago - I got involved in a fight, not even on my behalf, but to stop a bully. I let loose and wrecked the poor kid. It got me a few weeks of detention, but more importantly it scared the shit out of me. I never fought since, only interceding two or three times by stepping between parties with my 6'4", 190 lbs frame and standing opposed the aggressor very quietly and projecting being confident and resolute. I'm happy to say no-one ever called my BS posing as my martial skills are non-existing, but through cycling and sports I was reasonable trim and fit so they never knew exactly what to make of me. To this day I avoid conflict and confrontation simply because I do not know if I can control myself.

Interesting, a tale of " a tooth for a tooth........"
This tale was beyond a tooth for a tooth. This tale was a tooth for your soul type of storie. They attact human defending they attacked again and killed the hunans future genetation. Then annialation. Those aliens didnt know aboit the rules of engagement. We the humans would destroy the universe if you try to illiminate us from it lol.
This was a good story and will told however the mono tone that it was spoken in could be improved considerably.

Only those who have experienced the merciless, calculating, murdeous cold rage, that strips the soul of all emotion, and focuses every part of ones existence on utter annihilation of the target of our rage, or the hyper clarity of thought, and the way both the mind and body goes into an incredible overdrive of speed can understand the fear of that state which it leaves in it's wake.
Having once tasted that state of mind as a race, and seen what we are capable of becoming, of course humanity would "fear" what lurks inside all of us.
