I’m not really sure what you think we want from a podcast Paula but what I want is a chat with a friend and that’s what I get! It’s brilliant! All of the socks are lovely, lucky James. And the blanket is just beautiful. Thankyou Paula! Xx
We watch because not only are you SO talented, it feels like we are hanging out with a dear friend with the same interests as us and genuinely I personally just love your personality. It’s comforting to watch. Thank you for being you ❤
I adore watching you and the animals.. I feel like you make me feel as if my best friend is about to visit me with the love of everything yarn and furry 😂❤keep doing what you do .
Awwww, loooove watching you and your animals and family. Your like a best friend. And like me you knit and crochet and are such a lovely lady. Love Di xxx

Have a peaceful weekend.Best to you and yours. You are a treasure...sound like a real Pom when you say "Cor".😉 👌❤️👋🐨🌏xx
Oh my, what a lovely bunch of socks. You do beautiful work. I also love Kay Jones's sock patterns. I am working on The Spring Shorty socks at the moment. It is so true, certain yarn looks just perfect for certain patterns. It was such a treat to see Johnny, he is a very handsome young man. And Lillian too. She is a love. That blanket is going to be a show piece when it's done. I wish James would move the van so you could keep us up to date on the neighbors😂. Take care
Hi Paula, can i just say your knitting is beautiful! Those socks are immaculate. I was so surprised when your podcast came up on my feed, and was delighted to make my Elephant's ballet slippers as I watched you and and laughed at your comments about James. Loved seeing Johnny, he looks so much like a bass player dude❤ big hugs to Meg and Lizzie, and James. And especially you too. Of course ❤❤❤.
All your socks are beautiful, I’ve just bought the fairground and scrappy quilt sock patterns and started on the fairground ones. Thanks for the tips. The beautiful blanket by Sandra Paul is just stunning and it’s going to look gorgeous in that pink yarn. Have a lovely week love and hugs xx
Aviemore is a village in a national park in Scotland. I used to work for a company in Nova Scotia Canada who built pre engineered homes. We shipped them to Scottland Germany and such. One model was called Aviemore. There might also be a mountain with the same name.
I love watching YOU... Your knitting is exquisite and Ian taking piano up is my favourite.. I can hardly wait and then the Violin.. You are too funny also.LOVE LOVE LOVE. watching you..
Hello Paula, lovely to sit n knit with you. I have a cold, feeling terrible, but watching all finished socks made me pick up mine an knit along. The yarn is splitty and dark can only be worked on during daylight, it’s very frustrating. Cheers sneeze an keep knitting.🧦🧶🐈
Loved my visit with you and seeing all those wonderful socks! Seeing Jonny was a real treat as he’s so lovely! I hope you will get more animals eventually but when the time is right for you! Take care xx
Hi Paula…It was me, Nancy, who brought you the yarn from Maine and you are very welcome. I’m so happy you liked it and the socks you made (all of them) are beautiful. It was so good to meet you at EAYF, and I wish I would have talked more with you and James but I wasn’t feeling my best after our Mario Andretti ride to the festival by my friend’s brother. Such curvy roads😂. I did eventually recover and enjoyed my time at the festival. Your pink blanket is gorgeous😍. Love your podcasts and vlogs, and I think your family is lovely.
Do you remember when you could buy a ball of 'wool' and leave the rest of the packet/dye lot in the store and buy it as you needed? I expect your mum might more than you. Lovely projects. Enjoyed your podcast. Thanks. Jane
I remember this! The little wool shop in my town was still doing it until "Rhona" shut them down 😢 they never reopened after that. Such a shame as I much prefer buying my yarn in person 😕 Internet shopping is just not the same.
That’s how I started knitting many years ago, our little post office sold wool and you’d get the pattern order what you needed then buy it as you used it. The good old days .. I even sound like my mum now . The personal touch is always the best and you would meet people with the same hobby
Hi Paula, I always watch your channel, but seldom comment. However when I saw that you were doing the stunning blanket from Sandra of Cherry Heart, I just needed to message you & tell you how excited I am. I love everything that you make as you are a perfectionist at what you do. Your knitting & sewing items are amazing! ❤️. I have been following Sandra’s rug ever since she found the picture in a magazine. I was hoping that she would make a tutorial of it so I would be able to make it myself, but as I can’t follow crochet patterns 😥 I will just have to be happy to watch your progress 🤗. I love all your animals & the cute things they get up to, cats ringing bells………….just delightful! You have a lovely family that we see from time to time & as I’m old, I get lots of laughs when watching you & James, something that we all need more of in this life. Keep up the good work, just love you, cheers from Western Australia 😍❤️💕🤗👏🥰😇
Hi Paula. Loved today's video and those socks worked up lovely. It was me that gave you the stylecraft aviemore wool. My daughter and I came to see you and she was telling you about her kitten called 'Derek'. Xxx
Oh your socks are so beautiful - could almost eat those Easter egg socks, wonderful. That blanket will be amazing, such a gorgeous colour and, for a beginner crocheter, you’re incredibly talented. I used to have exactly the piano Ian’s looking for but it fell apart, was very old but very lovely. Thank you for a Saturday morning treat x
Hi Paula, thank you for your lovely company. It’s like visiting a neighbour for a cuppa but I’m all the way over here in Tasmania. Well done with all your projects. Yes I can see what u mean about the play dough socks😊
A lovely visit today Paula. I really enjoyed that. I mostly knit plain socks but you’ve got me wanting to knit some fancy ones. I actually have a few of Kay’s patterns, but have yet to cast on a pair. I have the Fairground pattern, and I’m going to buy the Moss Eccles. Really like the look of that one in your lovely yarns. I bought the Mind the Gap yarn years ago, and whilst the colours are great and fun to knit, I found the yarn to be thin and of poor quality. They didn’t last long and went thin very quickly. That was a while ago and it might be a better base now. Your pink bedspread is going to be absolutely beautiful. I watch Sandra’s podcasts. Love everything she does, but I haven’t ventured beyond granny squares, and I just know I wouldn’t have the patience to finish something like this, but it is gorgeous and will be a family heirloom. Lovely to see your Johnny pop his head in today. He’s so like you! (Aviemore is a town in Scotland. It’s a ski resort) 🩷🩷🩷
What a great video Paula, you’ve done so many socks and they’re all so beautiful! That new pink blanket is going to be gorgeous when finished….i can’t wait to see it. Johnny is so nice to step in and say hi. I hope you enjoyed your hour of reading! ❤
Paula I love watching you so much! I discovered you during vlogmas 2023 and have gone back to the beginning of your channel and I'm watching all of your vlogs! I just love your humor and how much you make me laugh! ❤ Right now I'm watching vlogtober 2022 and all the weird things that James buys!!! 😂
Always like to see a vlog from you pop up Paula. My favourite of your socks are the ones in fuzzy duckling, love the colour and the pattern which reminds me of those white school socks I used to wear.
So good to have you back!! Missed seeing you since the April daily vlogs stopped... it's like having tea with a good friend. Your pink Sweetly Dreaming is absolutely beautiful! Love that pattern and can't wait to see your blanket over time. Thanks for such a great video!!
Great episode🎉. On the ball band of the Knitpicks felici if you look on the front of the label it tells you the name of the colourway under the Knitpicks heading .
Hi Paula I have just gotten around to subscribing and clicking that bell🤣. I have knitted and crocheted since I was about 4 years old but was never taught to sew. Just recently while watching all these podcasts I am now thinking wish I could sew my own project bags, My 1 regret about scholl is that we weren't taught to sew.
Loved seeing Johnny tonight. You are so talented. I knit, but not as well as you. You can make anything. My husband, who's official name is also Johnny but he goes by John, walked into the room when I was watching you and he randomly said "she should knit herself a onesie" 🤔🙃😂😂 LOL
I really enjoyed making my Nature's Walk too, I did it in Bellisima too and now it is one of my go to yarns. I love your new crochet start, I have that on my to do pile too
Crikey Paula. You have been productive with all those gorgeous socks. The crochet blanket is very pretty. We are hving grandchildren number 6 in August and i would like to do that. Xx
So happy to see you back. Hope you are well. You make such beautiful items. Would love to have one of your bags. I live in the USA and I understand postage is very high. Enjoy your u tube so much. Thank you, Dona in Oregon…I also drink Yorkshire Tea..🫖🤗🧵🪡🐾
Delightful...have missed you so much that I have been forced to watch previous episodes. Have finished watching at 10:30, which IS a great bedtime. G'night!
I love all the socks you knit. You are a FAST knitter. I was working on a Battenberg Blanket while watching your video. I managed to get 5 2" squares done. My blanket is 1400 squares (quite large) and I've already done 800. I'm not doing "join as you go" though so still have the putting together phase and the border once I'm done the squares.
I love all your socks you have been so busy, I’m glad you’ve had a good at those patterns. I love that tea as well it’s so nice 👌🏻 a good recommendation thank you xxx
I am with you in The Gathering Paula!! Can’t bear what’s going to happen as you know something has too 😢 I just needed to answer you 😂 I have just knit my first sock 🧦 very exciting! Your socks for James are beautiful and I am sure he will be delighted 🤩 Piano playing from Ian 🐈⬛ see you soon xx

i only found your channel late last year and along with jana from finnish knitting stories you are my favourite channel to watch. i love listening to you chat about knitting interspersed with lots of random chatter about pets, life, etc. kay jones has so many great patterns for speckled yarns - enough interest to make for fun knitting and give some nice texture but not so much that it competes with the yarn.
Lovely video🥰, so many pretty socks, I’ve been off the socks lately but this just might get me going again. I loved the mini egg Crunkled the best, I had to pause and go get the pattern. I love hanging out with you and crocheting! I’m working on a Battenberg blanket right now. Looking forward to seeing yours!
Lovely video🥰, so many pretty socks, I’ve been off the socks lately but this just might get me going again. I loved the mini egg Crunkled the best, I had to pause and go get the pattern. The Fluffy Duck yarn is so pretty too, I’d have to hide socks if I made those because my daughter or granddaughter would be “ borrowing” them , never to be seen again.
I hope your headache went away and you’ve had a lovely evening with your take away. 🥰🙋🏼♀️
Loved your show!
Loved : »There’s a fly in here, Ian will get that for me », among so many other things, as well. It’s the flying animal food passing by !

I'm so tempted to make Sweetly Dreaming but I have so many WIPS now.
Oh my goodness Mr Blobby! A giant pink rubbery character. He came to the school where I worked and ran around the playground with the children at breaktime - it was absolute chaos. The headteacher had to have a lie down in the staffroom afterwards. I love your podcasts and am excited to hear Ian on the piano. I've told my cat Stanley he needs to up his game but he doesn't seem interested somehow! Until the next time. Happy crafting Paula xLesley @downduckpoollane

Have you considered for your advent creating the basic ‘teddy’ then making a small kit for each day to make each accessory? Just the consumables not the tools… and the instructions to make the item. Just a thought xx
Love the yellow socks and the new pink blanket!!
Did you make your dress? If so, where did you find the lovely navy fabric? ❤
Gorgeous socks Paula I’m very impressed!
I’m about to start knitting socks I’ve never done them before, iv got some lay family yarn , the first pair are going to be for my grandson aged 10 in Thunderplump 4ply
What heel is the best for children’s socks?
You were talking about people liked the black and white more than the gray and white and yes Play Dough it smells yuck enjoyed throughly!
