At 8:33, there is a machinery truck (not sure which model it is, there are a bunch of them) in plain veiw. Is there a chance that you can give some detail and maybe (please) a short video shot of the interior? These trucks and the men who worked in them are badly ignored in history documentation even though they were the force multipliers of the Second World War. For those who don't know what I"m talking about, the US military issued specialist repair trucks that contained the tools, machinery and special training to fix everything from radios, howitzers, engines, optical sights, radar, and electric charging equipment to full machine and welding shops on wheels. They performed repairs that put more than three times the equipment, damaged and/or broken back into the fight, than new. These trucks were specially modified Deuce-and-a-halfs where the upper section of the bed body could be compressed into the lower section to save space in shipping. The tools and such were stored in the lowewr section too, ensuring everything neeeded was contained and ready to go to work. They also had heaters and lights, the latter rigged to turn off automatically when the door was opened so that work could continue around the clock.

oh nice, another sherman. how many of them do you have, my biggest dream is to own a sherman, for now i have to make do with 1/35 scale shermans . also will you be showing on video how you are going to pix the big crack and dent in the back of the turret where it is supposed to interact with the turret ring. i am curious to see how difficult a compound curve like that is fixed with metal of that thickness

Thanks for the support. I was told not to say how many Sherman's there are but I can say there's more than two. And yes, we will be documenting the whole restoration and will be sure to show the amount of effort it take to fix that thickness of steel

@@ninus17 They were purchased a while ago. the Sherman market is very odd. Some are found on milweb.net, and some are purchased from private collectors. In the past, there used to be a bunch of Shermans on firing ranges and people would buy them from the range. Now that the value has skyrocketed it has become near impossible to find an "reasonably priced" Sherman. Hope this answer helped!
