- Liège, a city in Belgium. A lifestyle. Liège is located in the heart of Europe and just an hour away from Brussels or Cologne. And there is everything here for a perfect weekend trip. We show you our highlights in this video Liège in 5 minutes.
The city is known for delicious beer, e.g. in the Brasserie C, for crispy fries and of course for the Liège waffles.
You can easily explore the city of Liège on foot. On your city walk you'll visit the most famous sight: Montagne de Bueren, which you can climb up with its 374 steps. In addition, the train station of Liège (Gare de Liège-Guillemins) is very worth seeing. The top 10 sights in Liège also include La Boverie, Coteaux de la Citadelle, the Cathedral, La Cite Miroir and the Opera Royal de Wallonie-Liège - which was unfortunately closed during our visit.

My father was born in Liege, actually Foret not too far from the city. I visited once and had a grand time. It is a blend of old and new and it was so great to see where my Dad grew up. My family has roots there back to 1554.....would love to go back someday.

Liege is really a beautiful hidden gem of Belgium. Yummy food and amazing building architecture. Believe it or not, I am big fan of Waffel and flea market:) I have to stay fit to climb the many steps, but the view is truly magnificent! Thank you so much for this great video. @@theTravellers Thank you! I am your long time subscriber, and enjoy your videos a lot! 😊 Haven't been to Liège yet, and was curious about it as well as hesitant. I've been to a number of other cities in Belgium, and when in Antwerp I was harassed by several middle-eastern late-teenagers who heard me speak English to my friend, right in the middle of the city's main square. Belgians, in contrast, were the most kind, friendly, helpful, cordial and sweet people I ever met, throughout my travels there. So, it's a huge and unfortunate contrast that made me wonder whether Liège was even worse.
@@EagerInterlocutorI come from Liège I was born there and I am of Italian origin and I can tell you that the people of Liège are nothing but racist shit, there are places where we cannot enter because we are of origin foreign, the city is ward full of criminal drug addicts, the architecture is a mix of awful modern with old buildings, there is no architectural harmony, everyone builds as they please. The buildings are dirty full of soot and the inhabitants of Liège like idiots still believe that their city is beautiful, let them believe these pedophiles.
