No it doesn’t work that way. Cabbage has a high water content so even if you use very little or even steam it it’s got water that needs to be squeeze out to make these. It doesn’t go much faster .. I’ve made them.

When I fry my egg rolls they always get darker on one side & light on the other.(?) I can not flip them, they just turn back over in fryer (?) ?
You need to roll them rather tightly.
