Hi everyone, I am back with quick translations as usual for those that don’t understand Cantonese very well. Today, Remus is cooking “siu mai” that has mainly pork, prawn and mushrooms. He mentioned adding mushroom powder is good but he didn't have that so he added chicken powder instead. He uses his hand to mix the pork as he doesn’t have any machine like Kitchen Aid or bread maker (kneading) machines. At the end, he put a goji berry on each of the dumplings to make it look nice. He said the siu mai’s wrap/skin sold to him was smaller than he expected, but he said no worries because it’s part of life where things don’t always go our way or as expected... and at the same time we will find ways to accomplish our goals, that’s what he call a “success”. At the very end, he dipped the siu mai into chili oil but choked on it because it was a bit too spicy, though he said it’s tastier.
