The 180 turn on the first drop is badd ass. It's one with the woods. I like how it uses naturaul terrain for it's elevation changes and drops. It may not be the fastest but is the quickest.
Cedar Fair needs to add more coasters to this park. We get that there is not a big population outside of Kansas city. But Kansas City is too big of a city just to have 6 coasters. It doesn't have to be a big 30 million dollar coaster. You can add something like Hangtime or RailBlazers to the park.
Yes thank you! Get rid of stupid boomerang and lets have a launch style coaster (ala top thrill dragster), then add a nice new steel coaster. AND lets have RMC come in and redo the Timberwolf into a steel vengeance style masterpiece hehe

I will never ride the Timber Wolf or the Prowler again. They were so hard on my body that it hurt to ride them. The patriot and the Boomerang were really good.
@Elevate Bomber I spoke to people that told me that both of them have changed even from this season's opening. I know several people with season passes that said both have gotten worse in the last couple of months.

Every time I see a video about WOF I remember that girl that flew out of the timberwolf. I was on the ride. We thought it was a jacket that flew up. I didn't even know the girl but I still get a tear in my eye when I think about it. We all took our seatblets off every time... it could have been anyone of us teens.

The Orient Express was an awful ride, so much pain to your body. One night a whole train got stuck at the top of the loop, what a nightmare. I miss the Zambeezi Zanger too.

Smooth ride, nothing special to me because you can ride one like it anywhere.) 1. Timber wolf (after they retracked it its amazing. Lots of airtime but not as much force as prowler. Amazingly fun drop and front and back row are best. It never has a line too)
The only rollor coasters here I have ride on was Timber Wolf, my sister made me go on there and I was excited, but it was rough and scary, and the next one I got on was Mamba, that one was FUN!! I prefer you get on it!! 🤪
First, most all coasters should be ridden in the back car. Prowler is magnificent. Best woody in my 30 years of riding coasters all over the world (though Texas Giant came in close second). And Mamba is very underrated. Very smooth, and great airtime. It’s like the perfect blend of speed and smoothness for a 200 footer (much smoother than MXL). Coincidentally, I rode both Mamba and Prowler 5 hours ago, as I was in KC, MO for the day (I live in a different state).

Worlds of fun has the six best roller coasters I've ever been on I've seen. #1 is The Mamba, #2 is the Patriot, #3 is Boomerang, #4 is Timber Wolf, #5 is the Prowler, and #6 is Spinning Dragons. I gave them these spots because I love the height for the first hill, the length of the track and the speed of the roller. coaster

its not nearly as bad as it used to be GCI did a great job retracking most of it. except for the last run into the final brake run. thats still rough as hell and painful.

@@kl4880 - I studied up on it more since I made this comment. The Zambezi Zinger was decommissioned in the early 90s. It was one of the original roller coasters at the park. I don't remember it having straps. It might have had seat belts though.
Same thing really, Dinns daughter ran CCI, making the same crappy coasters he made. Though admittedly, they were hit and miss, some of them were actually not too bad.
Steven Hall dinn was overall a crappy company timber wolf and thunder run being really their only decent coasters CCI on the other hand is pretty renowned in the wooden coaster industry Making such great coasters like boulder dash shivering timbers ghostrider and silver comet to name a few

kansas city ks metro is such a rapidly growing area like overland park and olathe school districts can barely keep up with such a rapidly developing area. worlds of fun is getting boring for the gp. cedar fair needs to realize this
I just went today, and here is my rankings 6. Timber Wolf- it sucks, the retracking did absolutely nothing, and it’s ROUGHHHHHH. This thing needs RMC treatment. 5. Spinning Dragons- This coaster always has the LONGEST lines ever! and the ride isn’t worth waiting. 4. Boomerang- ewwww 3. Patriot- It’s average for a B&M invert. It does have a slight rattle though. 2. Mamba- It’s first drop is outstanding, but the rest is just okay. 1. Prowler- this thing HAULS.
Oh Mamba is no doubt better than Magnum XL. The latter had restraints that pressed against my crotch and had the poor guy next to me screaming because he was getting his junk crushed by the rough thing

Mamba looks like a shorter Steel Dragon 2000 but a smoother Magnum XL-200.

They removed the slow down on Mamba right before the bunny hills. A lot more fun at the end now.
