Awesome video Heiko! Like always amigo. Through years and many gar, carp, and bowfin shooting, I would sight that unit about a foot low. I've never actually shot with an optic or sight, but I've always aimed low when shooting fish. Again, awesome video brother! :)
Take the inflatable or Jon up to the glades this hunting season if you go up to the mainland. Shoot some gar and stuff like you said.

I wanted to compliment you on this video. I watch them all. This one for some reason, seemed more refined, with thoughtful, clear commentary. Asking folks to subscribe in a fluid non-abrupt way in the beginning. Great videography and camera angles. It all came together in this one. I’m a rod and reel guy, not a hunter, but I really enjoyed this one. Of course we all love the solo patch reef fishing, and it’s great when a plan comes together. Keep em coming!

Maybe try pushing that fishing bolt all the way through the hog and pull it out the other size by the tip???

haha no I didn't mind eating them at all. The only problem is when you catch them they poop all over the boat. Other than that they've been great

It would be easy to shoot a bigger filefish, lots of surface area to hit, supposedly they are decent eating although they are thinner than lookdowns

I tried pushing it through but it wasn't going anywhere. I probably could have hit it with a 2x4 and push it through but didn't want to break the bolt since it's fiberglass. Was eventually able to pull it out with some serious force lol

First thing I’d do is change that POS reel
All white meat colored fish is great to eat. No red colored meat fish. Such as bonito, all tuna, mackerel. Forget it. Too much blood in the meat. That's only my opinion. Many people like tuna. Leaves a bad taste in my mouth, especially mackerel and bonito.

It's shooting , not fishing !!! If you shoot a small one and kill it , you have to throw it back "DEAD" !!!! Knowing the keeper sizes are hard to measure with the water issues !!! Just fish...................be human not a cave man !!! LOL

I have an 50 cal Airgun.. It shoots bolts as well as rounds. However.. I have yet to find any target I didnt lose my bolts in. And they get ruined.. $10 bucks a pop...

Where do you get your butter from
Push the fishing bolt through the target and then take the tip off. The spurs should only be out when pulling backwards and should retract when pushing forward.
Keep you finger out the way
Loved the video Heiko.The boat wrap is so cool. I’m serious, you get that wrap on a ladies fishing shirt or t shirt and I’ll get a few . Hats too , just saying.
DON'T EVER shoot that without a bolt or de-cocking device. It will explode the limbs. Be safe out there!!

Is the optics polarized? If not you may need to hold your sunglasses in front of optics at some point depending on glare. Speaking from experience.
