Learn how to add a fun, wild mane with individual strands for my amigurumi pattern, Laurence the Lion! A tutorial by Jess Huff (jesshuff.com/). Pattern link: jesshuff.com/l...
I am currently doing this pattern and would like the mane to be the whole back half of the head do I need to the blo for every row after the color change?
2:03 what about the mane on the zebra? I don’t see anything other than a short note on the pattern… it would be nice to know where it is recommended to start, finish…. How wide to make it… how to get the yarn to stand up like a Mohawk….
I found the mane looks. Uch better if I use the outer edge of a skein. I started with making the mane threads from the inside of the skein, and the threads were wavy rather than straight. Does that make sense?
The pattern has you work rounds 20 - 24 in the back loop only, and I attached a strand into each of the loops in those 5 rounds. I’ve seen several people do the entire back of the head and that is very cute too!
Im making a pink lion and im only crocheing the head because im going to put it on a blanket and make a baby comfort blanket xxx ❤🐾
I love all your patterns and I'm so glad they are are free! I hope to make all of your patterns!❤😁

Nah. I've made amigurumi heads with just regular sc and then you can make the mane the entire back of the head.
