This song is important to me, I don't know why, I always come back here. To pay my respects to a man who had so much love, an overall great guy. Someone I want to shake the hand of.
I am about to head out, for the next few short years. I will have no internet. No way to listen to this masterpiece that makes me feel this way. I will miss it.
The First time I listened to this I was in a bad place, I was deppresed and feeling awfully tired, I came across this video at 3am and there I sat in darkness listening, And then the beat dropped.
I felt my heart physically move in my chest, tears rolled down my eyes. I don't even understand Japanese but for that moment, I felt like I could understand everyword. This song has become a ritual for me, I always come back to it, I have a genuine love for it.
I know I am getting emotional over a meme song, But I cannot help myself, This song made me feel like going on another day, I felt a legitimate change in my life after hearing. I hope I will be able to listen to it when I return, I want to feel the way I feel right now again.

On some real shit, Haru Yo Koi is in my workout playlist, and it came on during a difficult set, one of my first times at the gym when I started going. He pushed me onwards, and when I finally stopped it was all I could do to not be a weird, gross, bawling mess. One of the workers asked if I was okay. I told them that my brother was there with me. It was not a lie.

The legacy of this man will live on through the motivation he filled us all with. Because of him and several others I have managed to stick am exhausting but rewarding routine between a very tiring job and going to the gym to better myself physically and emotionally.

a little over 2 years ago i woke up one morning and decided i needed to get in shape. clean my life up. stop beating off. went on fit, learned to stretch and started doing simple things. pushups, squats, situps. i kept it up for 2 weeks, was making fast progress. met a girl online, a country away, and it all went back to 0. mostly stopped exercising, indulged in degeneracy with her. she was my first girlfriend. i've never felt anything like that before. a genuine human connection. it was lovely. things went downhill. she never even called me by my name. she just enjoyed herself, then had her fill and left. i was torn up for maybe a year, maybe 2. first i was angry. then i was sick. now i don't care.
there is a way forward for each man. you know your path. we're all going to make it, if we only try.

I've been on a journey of self discovery and self improvement, going to the gym and commenting here in some sort of silent vigil. Leaving this in my workout playlist to remind myself why I started. Why I lift. Why I work out. Why I am still alive.
Someone finally asked me, "Hey, you look like you've been working out."
It was such a simple thing, but it is the first time I'd ever hear someone say something like that to me. And while I am nowhere near my goal, the fact is that I have made a few steps on this road to tomorrow. To be the best I can be, because Billy showed me the way.
But in that moment, it was because of my own efforts. My own decisions. I earned it.
