Some songs on this DVD, like Crimson Thunder, sound even better than on the album. I've heard other dvd performances of this band released since and the production value didn't seem to come close for reasons I can't quite articulate. (Okay, one of them the audience was sitting down. You don't make a metal DVD and have the audience all sitting down - it kills the energy and a DVD must consider that the energy of the audience is almost as important as that of the band itself.)
Not that it's really the same genre or anything though, except for being a rock sub-group. Slipknot being nu/heavy metal, Hammerfall being Power Metal.
Joacim sounds as good live as he does in the studio, only natural singing talent can do that.
A tip : watch movies at Flixzone. Been using them for watching lots of of movies these days.
