I feel the same way about Amouage fragrances, I’m with the haters because of the price tag and the challenging note on most of their fragrances….BUT I’m also with the fans because some of their fragrances are truly beautiful: to date, I own Love Lilac, Material, Guidance and Overture….all these were not love at first sniff for me, had revisited them for months before I actually fell in love. And like you, the more i smell them, the more I’m loving them.❤️
Another great awards round up. It snowed here in Germany the last two days, and Milliseme Tonka and Tonka Cola were perfectly suited for the weather. I own six from your list, and I'm glad someone else loves Metallique. I also own the OG Sensuous and three flankers, and they are so nice. I'm glad you enjoyed the holidays with family. Nior de Noir was my first Tom Ford private blend purchase 7 months ago. It's similar to "Noir" and "Noir Femme" in the Signature TF line. TF "Vanille Fatale" is in my Top 3 vanilla scents I like it better than almost any other Vanilla.

Veronica! Did you get the new Navitus Baklava fragrance??? It is GORGEOUS!! My favorite Navitus to date. I love it so much. The orange blossom makes it less of a foody-gourmand than you'd think and makes it just so pretty imo. And then there are some notes that give it a little heft too, making it great for the Fall season... of course all the sweeter gourmand notes too. But I am thoroughly impressed. It isn't SUPER loud but it isn't as soft as Mahni Cassonade was for me - I can at least smell this on myself. I dunno it is just lovely 🥰 I think Raised Spirits and Baklava are my 2 faves from the house. Oh and also Ambrosia Imperiale & Amorous Intense too - I have grown to adore both of those so much! Very addictive
All my Navitus fragrances were blind bought and I love every one except Amorous Intense. She’s too sweet for me, so right now she’s a “like”…but hubby absolutely loves it! Raised Spirits is SO addicting, as addicting as Ambrosia & Mahni. I’ve learned with all fragrances - especially Navitus - we have to let it sit after the 1st few sprays. Scent & performance gets better with time. My Baklah comes in today - I can’t wait! I’m super excited to purchase Paulina’s 3rd perfume release this December - that will be my last purchase of the year 😉

Quite by accident…actually 2accidents, I found a beautiful layering combination. The first accident was when I purchased Mon Guerlain from eBay not realizing that it was the intense version that you showed here. It took me a bit to start liking it. Fast forward to a newer purchase of Ormond Jayne Woman. The morning I received OJW I had already sprayed Mon Guerlain Intense on myself, but of course wanted to test the new fragrance right away, so I sprayed OJW on the opposite side of my wrists. Let me tell you, what a beautiful combination! Happy accidents! Now I am going to look up the notes for both to try to understand why they compliment each other. Anyway, I always love your videos, Veronica! You are a gem.

I own a few of these: OG Sensuous, VerySexy body spray (just finished), Mon Guerlain Intense, Psychedelic Love and Metallique. I love all except Metallique 😆 I love a good, dark(ish) rose scent, Rose d'Arabie and Rose Omeyyade are great ones.
I love that Lancome line... I own the Jasmine Mirazapan and Lavandes Trianon so far... but I would love more. I have a sample of the one that you show here but am on the fence about it. But I think I just need to test a little more. The first 2 were automatic YES'es!! So beautiful and well-done.

That's VERY relatable and I do it at times as well. If it happens around certain people we kinda go into an impromptu game of Taboo and they help me figure out what word I'm trying to use. The weather has been all over the place, was just 14* night before last and the next three days, lows predicted in the 40's and 50's. It's insane, but no, I am not ready for snow. I've lived out west. Back in the 90's, we lived in Utah (Air Force) twice and had 100" of snow the last year that we were in the service and retired from there. Nope, not wanting snow, LOL. I do live in the mountains, but in N. GA at 2000 ft elevation so we get cold enough for me! But, consistent temps would be nice. It is and I never want to see it again! At least in Utah it is very dry so it didn't feel anywhere near as cold as it does on the East Coast. Kids were at the bus stop in jackets and shorts, very acclimated to the climate there.
Hi Veronica, I have Noir de Noir...absolutely love it. I love NY Fifth Avenue (it smells like a softer Oud Satin Mood to me), I have a decant of this and will be buying a full bottle, next sale. Very Lux... I also used to say I don't like rose fragrances...however..I can't say that anymore. My top fragrances all have Rose...lol Only started my fragrance journey in February of this year...so still a newbie but videos like yours have helped me by leaps and bounds. Yesterday I had the best unintentionally layering experience. Hubby & I had a lunch date so my SOTD was Libre Le Parfum & BR540 Extrait. After lunch we go to Sephora’s & I applied Devotion to both wrist. Soon after, he says “mmm, you smell good good! That last perfume you put on, smells good with that Libre.” 😂 It was then that I realized that both Libre and Devotion has that orange blossom note - of course it goes well together. Accidental love! lol.
I smelled it for the very first time at Neiman Marcus yesterday. It's [really] good. I want a bottle but [none] of the discount websites have it in stock. I am learning more and more.. that Amouage is such a high quality fragrance house.

I've tested quite a few Tiziana Terenzi fragrances and I think Draco is my favorite - similar to Andromeda imo... but I don't think I like it enough to own it. I wish it had a big a** dose of vanilla thrown in there too then I would love it!
Gosh! November is already gone... I've been pretty much nose blind since Sunday (Covid), but faintly smelt fragrance yesterday night. I enjoyed wearing Love Don't Be Shy and Angels Share. Also enjoyed Lira and Yes I Am. Something in Black Opium le parfum rubbed me the wrong way (almost a burnt sugar note). Sounds like you had a good month! 🙂

Noir de Noir is SEXY. Definitely a deep, dark, look at me scent. I have a decant plus the hair spray. I can definitely only wear on special occasions. I may wear it on-stage this Saturday 😜

Dang it Veronica. I told myself I was done for the year. 😂 That Santal Kardamom must come home with me. I already have SO MUCH on the way from my Black Friday splurge. 🤣 I also used to hate on Amouage because of the prices and intimidating notes but here I am 17 bottles later. I actually ended up loving how challenging some of their fragrances are. My favorite Amouage is Imitation woman. It’s a black current, licorice and aldehydes fragrance with some touches of smoke and resin in the background. Nothing in my collection smells like it. Cheers 🥂
I’m stilling waiting on one more box of fragrances to arrive but so far my favorites are: Infinitely by Montale (also recommended by you 😆 I love it!) Arabians Tonka by Montale Kalan by PDM White Duke by Moresque Paragon by Initio & Baklava Royale by Navitus My most challenging purchase is Mamluk by Xerjoff. I’m going to keep working with it. It’s a very deep honey Oud and the Oud is a bit animalic. Not fecal. I always love your recommendations and I’m not afraid of challenging scents. I see it as an adventure. Thank you for your videos!
This has been a very good year for Zara. Their 2 Angel's Share dupes are very top notch. They had some 40% off sales for BF and CM so I picked up a few bottles. I already had Sand Desert at Sunset (from the perfumer of Angel's Share, Benoist Lapouza) but I bought a backup at 40% off. It's excellent and so is the performance! Maybe the best Zara has ever released. I also picked up Nocturnal Life from the woman's collection (also an Angel's Share dupe but no perfumer listed). I applied 2 sprays of one on the left arm and 2 sprays of the other on the right arm and I had a scent bubble for 10+ hours! I'm not sure I've ever experienced that with any fragrance other than a rose oud combo or two that I have!
Oh wow! Nocturnal Life lived up to its name! 😯😯😯 Thanks for sharing your thoughts on Zara. They pump out and discontinue fragrances quickly, so I don't pick them up for that reason. But many folks love them and with good reason!

Quite by accident…actually 2accidents, I found a beautiful layering combination. The first accident was when I purchased Mon Guerlain from eBay not realizing that it was the intense version that you showed here. It took me a bit to start liking it. Fast forward to a newer purchase of Ormond Jayne Woman. The morning I received OJW I had already sprayed Mon Guerlain Intense on myself, but of course wanted to test the new fragrance right away, so I sprayed OJW on the opposite side of my wrists. Let me tell you, what a beautiful combination! Happy accidents! Now I am going to look up the notes for both to try to understand why they compliment each other. Anyway, I always love your videos, Veronica! You are a gem.

That's VERY relatable and I do it at times as well. If it happens around certain people we kinda go into an impromptu game of Taboo and they help me figure out what word I'm trying to use. The weather has been all over the place, was just 14* night before last and the next three days, lows predicted in the 40's and 50's. It's insane, but no, I am not ready for snow. I've lived out west. Back in the 90's, we lived in Utah (Air Force) twice and had 100" of snow the last year that we were in the service and retired from there. Nope, not wanting snow, LOL. I do live in the mountains, but in N. GA at 2000 ft elevation so we get cold enough for me! But, consistent temps would be nice. It is and I never want to see it again! At least in Utah it is very dry so it didn't feel anywhere near as cold as it does on the East Coast. Kids were at the bus stop in jackets and shorts, very acclimated to the climate there.

Very Lux... I also used to say I don't like rose fragrances...however..I can't say that anymore. My top fragrances all have Rose...lol Only started my fragrance journey in February of this year...so still a newbie but videos like yours have helped me by leaps and bounds. Yesterday I had the best unintentionally layering experience.
Hubby & I had a lunch date so my SOTD was Libre Le Parfum & BR540 Extrait.
After lunch we go to Sephora’s & I applied Devotion to both wrist.
Soon after, he says “mmm, you smell good good! That last perfume you put on, smells good with that Libre.” 😂
It was then that I realized that both Libre and Devotion has that orange blossom note - of course it goes well together. Accidental love! lol.

Overture was an instant love for me which I was so shocked by! I bought a bottle as soon as I sniffed the sample!
I smelled it for the very first time at Neiman Marcus yesterday. It's [really] good. I want a bottle but [none] of the discount websites have it in stock. I am learning more and more.. that Amouage is such a high quality fragrance house.

Gosh! November is already gone... I've been pretty much nose blind since Sunday (Covid), but faintly smelt fragrance yesterday night. I enjoyed wearing Love Don't Be Shy and Angels Share. Also enjoyed Lira and Yes I Am. Something in Black Opium le parfum rubbed me the wrong way (almost a burnt sugar note).

Noir de Noir is SEXY. Definitely a deep, dark, look at me scent. I have a decant plus the hair spray. I can definitely only wear on special occasions. I may wear it on-stage this Saturday 😜

I also used to hate on Amouage because of the prices and intimidating notes but here I am 17 bottles later. I actually ended up loving how challenging some of their fragrances are. My favorite Amouage is Imitation woman. It’s a black current, licorice and aldehydes fragrance with some touches of smoke and resin in the background. Nothing in my collection smells like it.

This has been a very good year for Zara. Their 2 Angel's Share dupes are very top notch. They had some 40% off sales for BF and CM so I picked up a few bottles. I already had Sand Desert at Sunset (from the perfumer of Angel's Share, Benoist Lapouza) but I bought a backup at 40% off. It's excellent and so is the performance! Maybe the best Zara has ever released. I also picked up Nocturnal Life from the woman's collection (also an Angel's Share dupe but no perfumer listed). I applied 2 sprays of one on the left arm and 2 sprays of the other on the right arm and I had a scent bubble for 10+ hours! I'm not sure I've ever experienced that with any fragrance other than a rose oud combo or two that I have!
Oh wow! Nocturnal Life lived up to its name! 😯😯😯 Thanks for sharing your thoughts on Zara. They pump out and discontinue fragrances quickly, so I don't pick them up for that reason. But many folks love them and with good reason!
@@VeronicaSays when they do produce some good ones, you have to grab them! If they put Red Temptation, Red Temptation Elixir and Rose Gourmand on sale, go for it! I also think you would be impressed with Sand Desert at Sunset.
