    I bought the t128 last Black Friday for BRL1000. It was a discount of BRL600 and that's a lot around here. G29/920 costs BRL 1600 ~ 1900... For someone who had made their own steering wheel and pedals, using Arduino, then I think it was a good deal. I am competitive, in due proportion, in online AC/iracing

    Your reviews are coming at a really good time for me, gathering info for my first set up. I had considered these, but I'm gonna go for the T300 Rs Gt. I think that'll be more than enough for me, i can't justify paying for DD. Not yet, anyway. I'll see how hard the bug bites 😂 great video, sir!

    But even after months of using the t128 I was unable to configure the FFB. Either it becomes very weak and I can't feel much of the car and the track, or it becomes very strong, shaking everything, making a LOT of noise and tiring my hands in some laps.

    • @SimulatedDrivingResource
      @SimulatedDrivingResource  7 месяцев назад +3

      Thats a bit of an issue when you have a limited force feedback strength and the major reason why people upgrade. While the T128 is very good to get a "taste" of sim-racing for a limited budget, the difference with the more higher end bases is significant due to the differentiation in force feedback.

    I am currently using a t150 and I want it to be brand new. Is it a t128 or a g29? Both will be geared. I have a hand-made clutch set but the g29 has an original clutch.

      The driving sensation of a T128 is better but the g29 feels more "premium" but is also more expensive new. I would personally opt more for a T248 with T3PM pedals if clutch is important but I dont know if this falls in your budget

    Hello, im still wondering if i made good decision, but i bought a new T128 for 125$. Next option for me was buy a used Logitech, usually there was without shifter. Did i make good decision? Also, i want to buy a new pedals (T3PA) and shifter (T8HS) next year for the T128.

      Don't second guess your decisions. All wheelbases have their proper characteristics. You, as many people out there that bought it, will have fun with it. I would however place the T3PM above the T3PA if budget allows. Th8s is very nice. I still use that one for my personal use.

    • @SimulatedDrivingResource
      @SimulatedDrivingResource  2 месяца назад

      The T3pa uses potentiometers to read out the values versus hall sensors (magnets) on the t3pm. The latter needs little to no maintenance. But the biggest difference is the feeling of the brake. Much nicer feeling with the T3pm. You can make it a bit harder to push or lighter due to the spring. The pedal faces are also a bit larger (personal preference).

      @SimulatedDrivingResource  6 месяцев назад

      Hard choice friend.... the drive of the T128 feels better but the steering wheel and pedals of the g29 feel better. If I would need to choose, g29... I really didnt like the small plastic steering wheel and pedals of the t128. But a pro-tip, look at second hand market. Good bargains to be found there

      @@MiguelBarraca I had the same question, and decided to go for T128 as it has a better technology hybrid gear and belt driven whereas the g29 is a gear driven, a little older and noisy technology. The FFB is pretty amazing and the size and material I didn’t honestly have an issue with, the grip was pretty okay and the size it’s comfortable. Price wise you can buy a T128 brand new for a less compared to g29 used. So the best value for me was T128.

      @@SimulatedDrivingResource Exactly, and your video was one of the resources that helped me. Thank you.
      I’d have to add one more thing, probably it’s a topic you can make a video about. Actually, lot of newbies to the sim racing are unaware about the fact that despite whatever wheel they buy, tweaking the settings is important for each game. Example, I bought T128 to mainly play Forza Motorsport, the stock settings were very difficult to handle with, had to do some research and find the right settings to match the wheel, it was day and night difference between default settings and adjusted settings.

    • @senses_yttwitch5182
      @senses_yttwitch5182 Месяц назад +1

      I had the same question but which one would I pick if I want to feel as immersed as possible. I don’t care about the lap times for each wheel, or the amount of grip on each of the wheels, I just care about trying to make it feel like I am actually driving a car. I do care about the pedals being at least somewhat good and from other reviews I’ve seen, the pedals are supposedly very bad, so that already is a downside for me. I also do though care about the precision of each of the wheels because that will make it feel more immersed, and the final thing I care about is the comfort of the wheels (not the grip because I can wear racing gloves), what I mean by that is, I don’t want a wheel that hurts my wrists after playing around 3 hours a day, everyday, or any degree of discomfort, and I don’t want my wrists to feel locked up (that feeling when u continuously write something on a piece of paper without stopping for a long time and ur hands feel locked up). Considering all of those things, which steering wheel would I buy, the thrustmaster t128 or the Logitech g29?

    Will the t128 be a big (or at least decently noticeable) upgrade from t80?

    • @SimulatedDrivingResource
      @SimulatedDrivingResource  8 месяцев назад +2

      Yes. There is the difference in technology. The t80 does not feature force feedback while the t128 does and that makes a world of difference. If there is a bit more budget, I would advise to look at second hand sites, you can get a T248 for around 30-40€ more. The steering wheel feels much better in hand, the ffb is much stronger and the pedals are absolutely 10 times better than t128
