GM Varuzhan Akobian is the best and I consider him my mentor for d4 opening. Thank you Grandmaster Akobian for sharing to us your knowledge in chess. God bless...
This guy is the best ! His games are positional masterpieces, and his classes are didactic masterpieces as well... For those who think that tactics are the ultimate tools in chess, well, think again...
In spite of the "steelmate" and of the "pair of the bishops", GM Akobian is an incredibly talented chess teacher, endowed with terrific positional finesse.
At 27:50 I take with the night sacrificing the queen. It's losing but I'll get a rook and bishop for a queen and bishop along with some decent counter play and dismantling of the attack. Great stuff as always akobian. You're the man
I'm a positional player, and watching this man's lectures I have improved a LOT! Kudos to you mr. Akobian. Also, somehow I have a feeling I am listening to Kasparov while listening to him. So similar in didactic!
I have been following your lectures, absolutely phenomenal. Positional master pieces.opponents have only one option, to resign, when he plays like this.sir,we enjoyed every bit of it.THANK YOU SO MUCH.
In 35.42 . I would just move the knight to B2, then if he promotes the pawn you fork him with knight D3. So black's only move is King to either F1 or F2. And white move Rook to the C-lane. Game over.

You're 100% correct. Missed that one.
If the pawn promotes the white King will be in check, so you cannot fork him on d3.
