I played the game in the early years. Then have come back to playing within the last 2 years. It is really neat to see how all these new things were implemented. Thanks for your videos.
My main problem with Relic equipment is that towers still feel like shit, level 81 robber barrons which take ages to level up still give you legendary equipment at best
At first, the master blacksmith had a limit on each type of tools that players could buy. This limit was around 1,100 tools for each reset. A few months later, this limit was removed for a few tools: the 3% khan and samurai chests, horsetail standards and the tool that gives 1% gallantary bonus from berimond. This meant that free to pay players could stack millions of chests and compete with ruby whales. However, the limit on these tools were reintroduced in the summer of 2021, this restoring the old balance. However, the announcement that the limit will be reinstated led to some free to play players spending all their gold and silver pieces on these chests and stacking their ids with tens of millions of chests of each type
Great video as always. It's quite interesting to get informed about this part of Empire's history; good to see that it wasn't all doom and gloom after I had stopped playing
i mainly play the game on mobile and to some extent it is a bit different but ultimately the same as the pc version. It definitely has gotten more and more pay to win over the years. i first started playing the game in 2014. back then it was pretty fun. and up until the introduction of mead units it was manageable even as a free to play player. or casual ruby spender so to say. especially due to how big armies were and how many def you needed. now relic equipment is in my opinion one of the best things released for the game. It drastically increases the odds against p2w whales. in my opinion the master blacksmit is probably the best addition to the game although back then and especially now. i do feel like the amound of silver and gold coins you get isnt enough in events and should be upped.
I quit the game for 4 years after january 2020. The new wheel, extra attack wawe equipment and the Horizon event absolutely broke the game. I really felt like none of my in game activities mattered because there was just a better paid alternative to everything.
For example blade coast was rewamped and game you a limited extra wawe item which took quite a bit of effort to obtain.... When there was a better one sold for $10...
True. I still remember when we used to get free troops in berimond and getting a message that we got it. Berimond itself was better where we could destroy the capital, but now it is harder
I miss old empire

I remember when relics were added!! I was very confused by them
keep going champ
17:47 there was not initially and they added one later because it was too good in their eyes for free to play I guess

The lack of transparency on the WOA changes is just another classic ggs moment. More like GriftGame Studios.

Game is completely money driven now and getting ridiculous
