Chute 75 - May 9, 2023, Palisades Tahoe (Olympic Valley)

May 9, 2023 - Palisades Tahoe (Olympic Valley). One of my few spring skiing days this season so far. The winter has been relentless, it snowed during the first week on May, and I had missed the days at the end of April when it was nice and sunny. The snow on Chute 75 at the end of the day was exceptional, I ended up doing 3 runs on it.

Olivier. Didn’t seem too bad. If I can do Headwall or the double black off Red Dog, is Chute doable?

It all depends on the snow level, but yeah, you should be able to do it. The main difference between those and Chute 75 is that there is less room to escape. I'd try to ski it in a good season, though I'd avoid it early in the season.

what is the hard way. The title says chute 75 so I would assume that is pretty much down the middle. He did not say chute 75 the hard way. In those conditions it is not hard however if it is icy, look for a different way down.
