I tuned into this video by the grace of God and am grateful for your concise explanation of the three acts. You actually had me tearing up. I even stopped breathing as I listened to you help me understand a 42 yr old issue i shunned like the plague. You performed a psychological autopsy on me freeing me to understand something profound that happened to my sister - a suicide attempt. Thanks to you, I think I can write about it compassionately.

Jan. 24, 2024. Wow! So much packed into this video. I learned such effective strategies to blueprint my story. The bits and pieces have been taking up so much unorganized space in my mind, and now you’ve taught me how to gather up the pieces & compose my story. I can’t thank you enough, Brenda! The refresher about the structure. For some reason I didn’t think about using a structure for a memoir. After all, life doesn’t reveal a plot sometimes… it’s more like a Jorge Luis Borges "ficcion"! But your identification of the three sentences, then showing how to extrapolate the framework, has given me good ideas on how to use it to write multiple stories from different perspectives or for different themes or purposes. I’m a Julia Cameron fan, but she deliberately eschews the kind of practical practice you so clearly set forth. I benefit from both. Thanks again!

I was put up for adoption at birth and endured all the types of abuse throughout my entire childhood. I'm interested in writing a memoir but have no idea where to start.
