Would've been nice if you stated how to get the effects button to even appear on your menu. I have a pro account. I clicked on the image I uploaded. But effects does not appear as an option.

Impressive background remover, but the main challenge with removing background in my experience is when the background color is close to some of the colors of the subject in the image that you want to keep.
For example: a black hair person against a black background. How well does Canva perform in that scenario? I didn't see more controls to adjust this background remover...
Yes, for best result try to find a high contrast between the object and the background.

it is pretty much unlimited. I believe there's a daily limit which is very high to avoid robots using it all day long.

This is easy! I never thought that the Canvas can do that. I was a bit disappointed when I saw that it needs credit card to pay for subscribing for Pro account. But I almost forgot that I have another account that is for school purposes. I asked if I can use my school account for getting the Canvas Pro. Fortunately, they said that they already enabled it to Canvas Pro. Thank youuu!!! Sub it already!

How do you save the raw CLIP? I can't figure it out, and it's driving me nuts.... like the picture without the background... how do you save it to your computer?
Download it as PNG and tick the box "transparent BG".
Is the quality of the image less when the background is removed? are the pixels less?
We haven't noticed any difference in terms of quality. I'm not exactly sure if there are less pixels, but by looking at it it looks just as good.

No Effects / Filter / Adjust shows up on my Canva and I'm paying for the Pro version. Why is that?
Can I do it using my phone only?
I tried this and it didn't work at all. It just added a background to the full square photo and didn't take the figure out! Please help!
Sorry to hear the Backgrond Remover didn't work for you. If you are a Pro user it should work. It happens very rarely that the Background is erased and then pops back in when you manipulate the photo, in this case removing the BG again usually fixes the issue.
If not, you can always get in touch with Canva's support team via this link: bil.ly/message-canva
apparently if you make the photo the size of the entire "square" you are filling, then you effectively cover up the photo you are trying to remove the background from. I saw that on another tutorial. so try resizing your photo so you can still "grab" the edges. Sorry, total newbie!

If you have Canva Pro it should appear under the effects button after clicking on a photo

There's no solution to this, apart from double clicking on the image and cropping it, but not really convenient.

Once I have used background remover but it does not remove everything I needed removed How do I zoom in to use tools to erase?
It will depend on the complexity of your image's BG, indeed. I found it very accurate most of the time though.
You can use the brushes, from within BG Remover's interface and zoom in there.

No, BG remover is not included in Canva for Education.

Once you removed the original background of your pic, it will then be replaced by the default background shape of canva. If I'm going to print the picture I will still have either square or rectangular white background. Is there anyway I can totally remove any kind of background? I'm using canva pro.
Yes, if you delete all backgrounds (and therefore see white behind your design), then download as a PNG and make sure to tick "transparent background" before your hit download.

hmmmm I'm not sure why it does that actually. Might be because the Android phone's photo gallery doesn't support transparent background?
