For those of you complaining these boys don't sound like they did 20 years ago, no kidding. Few people do. Brian here did a great job with his verse given he was and still is recovering from a serious vocal condition. AJ honestly could care less about whether he's sharp or flat at this point, but he can still sing great. Nick has improved a ton since 20 years ago and sounds flawless here. And Kevin and Howie pretty much sound as good as they always have. I love this song and love it even more with this acoustic version.
I've been super curious about why AJ sounds super duper different, like super noticeably. I know that Brian has/d that condition, but he still sings pretty close to perfectly. Does AJ smoke? I still think he's amazing, I'm just curious. I know some singers just change their style entirely, i.e. Michael Jackson
AJ used to smoke and now I think he smokes e-cigs. Also, his voice deepened a lot from when they were first popular. He used to be more of a tenor and now he's a baritone. Nick is also now really a baritone but he has a bit more range than AJ actually (Nick's range is huge, like 3.5 octaves, but he doesn't have the control and precision Brian once had) and almost exclusively uses his tenor range.
@@IsyMaxine This is interesting because I feel it's the reverse when I listen. AJ sounds a little different (mostly during higher belts) but Brian is very noticeable (for obvious reasons).

I cry to hear how Brian is doing amazing!! Very happy that his voice is returning to normal. I'm very fond of him to reach 100%. His voice is one of the biggest and best in the world. You have to respect this guy and his bravery!
Yeah I'm so agree his voice is one of the best in world, even though in this performance he trying to manipulate his voice just to make it to the pitch but the way that he sing is totally different than he used to, due to the fact that he has vocal dysphonia he couldn't sing the way that he sing before that vocal problem
i always wonder why most of the songs, Howie & Kevin does not have long parts on singing the lyrics. But seeing the live performance, now i know why. They play the harmony/melody/2nd voice parts. It is really difficult, harder than being the main vocalist. I'm finished being the solo, and now i'm trying to harmonize with different singers but it's really difficult. Kudos to H & K! They can even do falsetto! Amazing! ♥ ♥

I almost cried after Brian's verse. You can tell that it hurts all of them to hear him struggle but he sounds amazing. I wish him nothing but the best. Even if he has only a fraction of his voice, he will still move people.
And since the other two leads (Brian & AJ) have different problems with their singing, Nick is their strongest asset now (in terms of vocal). It's not being disrespectful for either B-Rok or AJ, but in the end, it's a matter of fact. Nick is the one who get the bigger - if not the most - responsibility for carrying main melody.

You have to hand it to the BSB. They're doing a great job of adapting to Littrell's new vocal shape and tone, which is a testament to just how musically attuned these guys are. Losing 'Julie Andrews' might have ended their Sound of Music, but it didn't. Much props.
