@@agja0206 Agreed so much. I think Nicky didn't have that much chance to show he sings well (I actually thought he's just a back up singer of westlife along with kian) until Brian left and he has to fill in. Watch their uptown girl and footloose recent versions, Nicky really stands out.
When Nicky start singing at Brian part the people are shouting like they're going to be crazy in shookt or they just inlove in Nicky's voice.. I Love Nicky's Voice so much.

He doesn't sing lead that often, I think people really wanted to support him, specially as this was originally Brian's part.

Shane does well with his emotions, the boys are there for him, like brothers do!!! It has special meaning for me also, my husband passed away 1yr ago. It still hurts, we were married for 55yrs. Happy years, blessed to have had him in my life. ❤for you Shane.

This was probably the concert where all of them were at their peak vocally. I don’t think I’ve heard such amazing vocal health and strength from them since. It is such a shame that this album was so underrated. Shane’s and Mark’s vocals throughout this entire concert were just *chef kisses*. The backing harmonies by Kian and Nicky as well. Shane’s vocals have thinned quite drastically ever since the comeback, having not taken a break from the singing. I’m hoping that the lockdown means that the vocals are well rested and that we’ll be able to see this again from the lads.

They've definitely gotten better as of late, their latest album is very underrated and they made a mistake of barley including any of the songs on the tour, missed opportunity if you ask me as Kian and Nickys vocals are amazing on it. Goes without saying Shane is on the ball and Mark is better than ever

Shane was ALWAYS the right choice to sing lead, no shade to the other members but you know what I mean. Vocal steadiness, articulation and smooth solid execution and then there Markus the vocal acrobat.

That's how Westlife started out. They insisted on singing live so they had to give the lead parts to the steadiest singers (Shane and Brian). Kian and Nicky weren't as strong, only when Brian left they were finally given the chance to shine. Mark's voice is amazing but kind of a monster, it took a few years to really control it.

Probably one of the most underrated vocalists ever, he has such a beautiful and clear voice in every single performance. I LOVE westlife to death but you can see why for the first two récords it was the Shane Filan show.

I do like this band, so that's why their songs can be heard on my piano if they come to Canada.
I live in the U.S. and only found their music on RUclips about seven years ago but really enjoying their music. I really love the fact that in 2012 or thereabouts they split, but got older and more mature and realized they could still make music together. That alone in my opinion shows how great they are together. Only the Backstreet Boys have been together after taking a break from their music for a while. I do love these guys and wish they’d come to the states, but find that unlikely
