Sleep Token are something special, something we havent seen in decades. As many here have already recommended, listening to the discography in order is essential, as it tells the story of Vessel through his experiences with Sleep.
For me, The offering is top 5 Sleep Token songs for sure. Is unbelievable how Metal and beautiful is at the same time. Masterpiece. "I know you've got a taste, so just take a bite of me", chefkiss.
The appreciation of all the instruments as well as the vocals is what got me! They tickle every part of my brain! But what blows me away most is how Vessel almost uses breath as an instrument. It’s always so damn intentional and impactful. That and the words he chooses to end a bit harder… in Ascensionism when he hits the T in want… they just make me take notice of these tiny moments in their songs and it’s fantastic!
I feel stupid when I think about the first time I heard this song, 3/3.5 years ago. The album had just come out, and my friend recommended me this song. But I was just coming out of this phase of deathcore/death metal and looking only for heavy heavy heavy. But then I hear this and I enjoy it, so I go to other songs, and I, being a bit of a metal snob at the time, turned my nose at songs like The Night Does Not belong to God and other softer songs later on the album and I brushed it off. Still loved this song. But then a year later i hear This Place Will Become Your Tomb and everything changes. And now this is my favorite band.
I am so in on this journey of yours. Thank you for doing that. It's absolutely awesome to see someone else experience them for the first time. Living vicariously though you gives me more love for the band somehow. So enjoy and I personally will enjoy watching your journey. Worship.

If you two ever get a chance to see Sleep Token live, definitely do it. They're so good live. I've been to a lot of concerts, and they're easily top two or three for me.
Sleep Token doesn't make a bad song so there really isn't a need to skip anything. Vessel chose to make this a trilogy of albums so the best way to listen is as he intended, in order. Normally, I wouldn't think that mattered but I've never experienced music like Sleep Token.

This was the first Sleep Token song I ever heard and I was instantly in love. This and Dark Signs lived on my heavy rotation playlist for years.
