Amazing little spline model - can I use a remix of this on my website?

Sp trying to do color change on top of the previous animation did not work for me. I tried adding a new state and changing the color but the base state is also taking the color. When doing the image change for the face, I get 7 inputs to add images, and the robo face is not there. If I add something else, does not show properly.

Spline is so perfect if only it could do bone animation like blender

How do you transition materials using states? Right now Spline does not assign different colors to different states so I cannot change colors of objects using states or any of the associated attributes (start, transition). When you select a color of an object like the body or eyes, it makes that change for all states on that object. I have cleared my cookies and cache and tried on different days. Thank you.
