I’m not suggesting this will be the case for everyone but after trying a million things including medication, cutting out gluten was literally what cured my PP Depression. I’ve been GF now since 2016. It shocked me what a difference it made, but for me it had a profound effect.

I’ve struggled with severe PMDD since I was 13 and only got worse as I got older. I’m now 36 and like you I tried everything and after researching a lot about the causes of PMDD I found studies showing that those who have experienced any type of trauma in childhood are more likely to suffer from PMDD. After much reflection I realised that I needed to forgive a lot of people for a lot of messes up things that they did to me. Please don’t dismiss the importance of this. It has been the only thing that has SIGNIFICANTLY improved my the severity of my symptoms which usually left me feeling suicidal every single month. I realised I was just extremely wounded and those wounds began to manifest every single month. Once I made the decision to truly forgive everything that had happened in my past it was as if I had pulled a knife out of my soul and I was able to heal. It has greatly helped me to heal from a lot of the emotional/paychological symptoms of PMDD. Hope it also helps someone else out there reading this. God bless

During PMDD Id stop working out, get completely off track so constantly restarting every few months. I was a mess for what felt 2 weeks every month, with 3 kids and full time job it was misery. I got on BC because i no longer wanted the iud and unbeknownst to me it helped me and then my dr switched me to Nextstellis which is newer and more natural, and I have no more issues, I really feel like it keeps me balanced. I no longer have those dips. Regarding working out, I got into running starting 20 minutes 3x week the little weekly goals on my running app kept me going. Working out 5-6 days a week was not a reality for me. Start slow with the working out its really all about building a habit. Good luck with everything❤

I also have PMDD and it’s so hard to distinguish when my angry thoughts/feelings are real vs when they are just results of the pmdd. I literally want a divorce for one week of the month and then I’m back to normal. It’s so debilitating to feel this way 😪

As far as working out goes, I understand where you're coming from with going all in. I was the sameway, and it never lasted long term for me. What I have found that has helped me most recently is taking walks. I don't do it every day but I try to at least take one walk a day. Someday I'll do a morning and in evening and it really has helped me so much. Hugs ❤

It took me 2 years to realise that my anxiety was link to my periods. It happens to me the first 7 days before my cycle and then fine during it and then its gets me again a few days after. Ive been to my drs and been told its anxiety and offered anti anxiety tablets etc but after 2 years i myself realised its hormonal imbalance thats causes this and seek g this video definitely comfirms it. I do t have any particular reason that im anxious at this time but my dr kept saying, u must be worried about something and i couldn't give them an answer. It made me feel very stupid but now i know its hormone imbalance. I just try deal with it as best as i can as the drs here are no help. I wish u the best. Please keep us updated as ur breakthrough on this could help give someone like me tips on how to stop these terrible, debilitating feelings. Sorry for long post.

I used to struggle with PMDD, before I realized that’s what it was I had been diagnosed with BPD and Bipolar as a teen in my early 20s. I started using progestertonic (I think it’s a different name now) by wishgarden 3 droppers 3x a day and my symptoms pretty much went away. PMDD is a hypersensitivity to progesterone and I found that keeping my levels up alleviated the drastic change

I also am a 110% person if i do something i do it all and cant just do the grey areas also. Ive always been this way also with anything i do and it is frustrating its like a mental battle with yourself. Because you know how your body is but is so hard to change your brain makeup and just say to yourself to mert in the middle. Youre a great mom and i hope this all resolves whether its diet, working out etc. I hate taking medicine and never could take birth control or anxiety medication because i felt crazy and actually made it worse. Aaryn, thank you for making this video. I am your age and I have tried it all. Everyone is different, I have cut out everything and tried natural & non natural hormone therapy. But not all has helped so I decided to do prescription progesterone. The prescription progesterone helped me feel amazing. Other mixed estrogen & progesterone did not help my emotional & mental state. Earlier this year I had a side effect that I handled well. After two years of progesterone I had 4 months of hemorrhaging. Once I was out of it and told my older friends I found out one my age was having a DNC to stop her hemorrhage. My friends in their 40’s & 50’s all KNEW about this side effect of hormone therapy and had been through it 😱😱😱😱😱. I was shocked to hear how common this is and how lightly it is spoken of or how woman keep this private. Some had ablations, DNC’s & hysterectomies to stop the hemorrhage. I have been off the prescription for two months now & haven’t had PMDD too bad, I have been calming my nerves with ashwagandha Tea, COQ10, and upping my Vitamin D on top of everything. P.S. I’ve tried in past years asking for hysterectomy my OB would say I was too young. I was cleared as a NO for premenopausal by 3 GYN’s cuz im too young. AS for working out: I walk a day works equally as well; my little one takes a vehicle of choice along with me 15-45min or two different 15min walks or we swim, bike ride, hike, roller skate, home stretches, home resistance bands. Hang In There!! know how unsettling it all could be ❤& listen to your body!!!!💐💐

Just curious because I’m having very similar symptoms, do you think breast implant illness is at all a factor? I got implants in April 2023 and am hoping that’s not what I’m experiencing but my eyes frequently feel inflamed, facial inflammation, more down days each month, some hair thinning and from what I’ve researched it seems to point to that. I don’t want to have them taken out unless I’m absolutely sure but just wondering if you found that to be a factor at all?

I’m feeling like I’m in the early stages of perimenopause, I have almost all the symptoms. Hey I haven’t been able to eat gluten for 8 years now. I started trying oats a couple years ago and it has helped with the stabilizing carbs. Keto didn’t work for me! So I added in a bunch of fruit, oats and dairy :)). I would keep in dairy cuz of the nutrients. Gluten is super super inflammatory as well as alcohol. I had chronic fatigue and Lyme. I think trying the hormone route first and following what your GYN advises is a good start. You could keep Zoloft as a backup plan. At least you do know something that is effective and if you went back on it, it wouldn’t have to be forever. Maybe when your girls are a bit older and more independent and you have a bit more time you could establish a workout routine and other healthy habits, etc and wean off. I hope this helps :))

I dealt with the same thing this year after baby five . I’m on progesterone pill and an anxiety pill . I was on both previously but wanted to get off everything but going through the hormone rollercoaster every month I felt like I should be having twins of triplets either my feelings I went back on medicine and it’s helped .its not gone I still feel it but it’s a ten compared to a thousand like before

So . I have the same thing or symptoms . I have notice that staying home and doing the home school really wears me out . Idk why. Mines is only 4 and I feel tired and over stimulated so a week before my period I feel like I can't function . I feel like it's the mom thing

I feel like us teens of the early 2000's were all put on birth control pills and that just exasperated PMDD. I have PMDD horribly. I take prozac 10mg and I literally have a week where I don't even feel like myself. I end up questioning if I even want to be married. It's awful and soul destroying when I have mood swings around that time. Then once I get my period I'm totally fine. I just deal with it, but I can totally relate to how horrible it is and how it robs you monthly of a life for about a week. It's wild.

Hey mama! I think you are on the right track with getting on bio-identical progesterone…. But at the root you are having a cellular problem… Cambria Joy on RUclips creates a ton of videos on health focusing on our cells. She gives a lot of supplement and dietary ideas to increase natural progesterone production which is also help all your other cellular functions. Things like focusing on potassium, whole food vitamin c, 30 grams of real whole food protein at meals. My opinion don’t start working out when you are already in a state of stress… if anything start walking… it’s the only exercise that doesn’t increase cortisol. Sending you hugs and prayers. Gods walking you through a journey, open your ears to hear what He has for you…God came to earth as Jesus Christ to understand our emotions.. he wants to comfort you… run to him. Lots of love!
