Im from kingston jamaica and i remeber that hurricane wish i could storm chase everywhere there is a hurricane as i love them and all intense weather related stuff. I remember hurricane gilbert as i was 8 years old then and from that moment on i knew what mother nature could do
I was hit by hurricane Isabel back in 2003. It was only a cat 3 when it hit us but man... it might have been the scariest most exciting shit i've ever been through. First of all driving back from work just as it was coming was hell the car moved from side to side. Terrifying; then at night we peeked out the window and all you could see was a white wall of water/rain with huge pine trees bending from side to side like they were made of rubber. Ridiculous.
I would rather see a tornado in person than a hurricane because you can't always tell what a hurricane can do but a tornado you can see where they're going and what they're doing.
hurricanes are really powerful and they are nothing to mess with, they can blow down a house and take it away and put it on yourself. I stayed on my island during Ivan and that storm put my island underwater, luckily there was only 1 death out of 45,000 (the population of the Cayman Islands was only 45,000 back in 2004, today it is like 54,000) Brave work in the making of this video!! 5/5
LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL I CANT BELIEVE IT! I saw these guys doing that!! I was filming the hurricane from the rooms window and i saw these guys i thought they were drunk or high or something hahah:P the hotel was Gran Bahia Principe
yes u would prolly get better shots there.. still u can totally understand how powerfull the wind was.. u should have filmed one of the the stair-tower on the east part of the hotel where the roof fell off:P
I was there wen dean came, me and ma cousin was going shop 2 doors away wen it came and we started running screaming lyk sum nerds and ma cousin umbrella got stuck between a small treee and a van and she was screaming out that its pulling Lol

i was just a little girl when that hurricane came to jamaica...that year my dad left me... ironically his nickname is dean.. XD

Same here. I was in the Peace Corps at the time. It was a Cat 5 when it hit the area I was living in. Decimated the whole village. It was awful.
