    I love the fact that the curtains slide around and tucks into their own storage compartments. I’ve often wondered what you do with those big bulky things when not in use. That’s a great solution.

    It's like a Targa Top - no wonder they installed alcantara coverings for the seats. THIRTY SIX FEET, that's what I need to keep in mind while viewing this. 36 feet of clever.
    Thanks for sharing...
    BTW, it's Future Me 3/2/20 and you now have OVER 100,000 Subscribers. This is the video I picked as my celebration! Thanks Nick - and thanks to all my "Aquiholic yacht mates".

    That's the one. I love the fact it has one good sized heads with a separate shower so no soggy big roll. The toilet flap may get unscrewed and thrown in the Solent but I might be able to live with it. An excellent boat for exploring the UK south coast with it's changeable weather and not to expensive to run with a big single engine. Or maybe the Volvo hybrid setup like Greenline use.

    The upper deck and the outside are not my cup of tea in terms of visual design, but in terms of functionality for the size it is A+. Love inside and the roof! Great video

    • @skunkjobb

      I second that. There is one of these in the same harbor as my boat and I don't like the looks of it. Surely good and functional, not so good looking. I also wonder if there is another access hatch to the engines further back. Otherwise it looks hard to reach the back end of the engines.

    I'm a sailor myself, but really liked the many spiffy but overlooked details on this one: the smart haul out ramp tucked under your feet at 1:07, that the sofa can be converted to a (sun)bed and has 4 corners with space for stretching the legs, or that the boat (incl shower) is designed not to feel cramped for a +190 cm viking. Besides, the boat just won the Best for Family Award at Boot & Fun Berlin 2019.

    What a cracking boat. Affordableish . Really well appointed with as you said Nick, big boat features including a proper shower stall. Don’t like wet rooms. Also the galley space is amazing. I like the idea of the cabin for myself and two ladies and still having another decent cabin for my wife! 😀. Of course I jest. She’d be at home. Love the quality of this boat. Want one. Some similarities to a NordWest 355 Sedan, spent a couple of nights onboard a friends boat a few weeks ago. In a guest cabin very similar to that one. As I´m also a boat nerd I snooped around, and also asked a lot of questions. That boat had 2 X 260hp Volvo diesels that gave 35 knots flat out with two duoprop drives, with around 26 knots as good cruising speed. It had a shorter saloon, with a cockpit outside glass partition doors on the aft deck. It was very easy to manage, got to drive it also and liked it very much. Propably that Marex is a lot like it out on the water, both have that scandinavian heritage and style. Test a NordWest if you can find one, they are great. The 355 is more common as a flybridge version, would be cool to see a review. Thanks for the vid.

    I really like the layout and features of this one wish they made bigger boats. I saw they make a 375 model that is like 2.1 feet longer at 12.05 meters. But I would really like to see a 60 foot boat made by this company. I love Norwegian boats. Just seems like they make really good use of space I mean that bathroom on this little boat it was great. Nordhavn's are still my favorite but I really like this one.

  • @garethchild
    @garethchild 5 лет назад +2

    For UK use I would be tempted to add a calorifier for hot water creation & storage, a spot of heating, and upgrade those leisure batteries to three or four 110Ah units. There’s definitely room for all that in the engine compartment - and it would mean you could spend some serious time on board.
    Hmmm... upgraded fuel tanks...

    • @visionist7
      @visionist7 5 лет назад +2

      Maybe a watermaker too, if it would fit.
      There's something more nautical about getting-by without a generator. Having one almost feels a bit like cheating, I'm weird like that

    • @garethchild
      @garethchild 5 лет назад +1

      I’ve spent months at a time on my narrowboat without a generator - you don’t need one unless you’re running some high powered junk like A/C or a cooker.
      A twin engined boat with an alternator on each motor could recharge 300-400Ah of batteries very quickly, giving enough juice to run for half a week.

    An open boat but sort of enclosed. Almost didn't notice. It's not bad but there are proper yacht configs in only 42 feet and ultimately a Princess Y85 just feels right :)

      To be fair though, you can buy ten of these for the price of a Y85, it's not exactly 'like for like'! :D

      @@AQUAHOLIC mere details :) and it's more like 15. But at the same time a sobering thought to think that instead of owning this Marex, you could have 1/8 share of a 2017 Princess Y75. Or a third of a 2017 Prestige 560 which is 60 foot. Or for that matter about a third of a 2012 Princess V72

      @@DanFrederiksen Can you get those through Canals or Inland waterways and Locks?
      Under low bridges? Er, No.
