been playing aRPGs since original release of Diablo, the core of an aRPG is nice feeling action gameplay in a fantasy setting, the depth of build and itemization is bonus but first the gameplay must feel good D4 devs have specifically prided themselves in interviews that they consider D4 the first "s-aRPG", or systems-aRPG, where in their own words "what matters is not the combat, but what you do *before* combat [build tuning] and *after* combat* [loot/gear micromanagement] In their own words, the actual gameplay of combat, that which the game is about, was a secondary concern. And it shows.
Spoiler ahead. I love everything about this expansion so far... except for the resolution of the story. I had a big "Is that it?" Moment before learning that yes, that was actually the final boss. Bro. This was billed as a Mephisto expansion. I wanted to fight Mephisto. Feels like they edged us and then pulled it back to save for later. Not a fan of this at all.
Yeah I was quite digging the story up to the ending. I liked the new characters and enjoyed the development of Neyrelle. But yeah I get it’s to set up another expansion, but it just feels like such a wet noodle. We get satisfying character arcs ending but the plot falls flat st the end
@@stephenclarkin4578 right? I just couldn't believe they went as far as putting Durance level 3 into the game but didn't give us a Mephisto fight. I don't want the Mephisto story to stretch multiple years/expansions. The story of the base game was great because it felt like it kept delivering, whereas this one kind of felt like it never did.
Yeah I had the same feeling. When I spoke to Prava and the game ended I was like “no way that’s it??” The boss fight wasn’t even that hard either. But besides that yes I am enjoying the new character and fighting style.

Part of me hopes that they patented it, so that other's have to pay to use them in games, but another part of me hopes they didn't patent it so that all games can participate and benefit in the innovation of gaming.

I am a sorcerer in torment 4. The only other class I have seen in T4 is spiritborn. I think the game balance is wack considering I am playing a very meta sorc build and have only hit for 500 million at the most but am averaging about 30 to 50 million depending on conditional buffs and debuffs. Highest pit I have cleared is 76. The boss took me 6 minutes to kill. I watch other players with equal gear on spiritborn farming pit level 90s... Spiritborn isnt at 100% more damage compared to other classes. By my estimation is close to 15x the damage of the next best classes. Something has to change. If the game is intended to have players hitting for 600 million consistently like spiritborn does, then other classes need to be able to hit for 400 million. I get that blizzard wants you to buy the spiritborn so they make it stronger than other classes. However, it is to absurdly overturned that I don't want to play anymore. I am getting really tired of fighting a helltide boss for 10 seconds, getting it to 60% health, and then a spiritborn player rolling up and killing it in half a second. I think you completely missed this point in your review.
100% agree and frankly the game feels fun and mostly balanced as a sorc but anytime I want to play with my friend who is on spiritborn that fun largely goes away. There can be no power fantasy when your purpose is to act as the power floor, and the power ceiling is orders of magnitude better than you class is capable of achieving. This season goes til January too!!!
On top of lacking damage compared to the top end, most skills also just clear like shit which makes it hard to justify playing something off meta. I've been trying to cook with the lesser used skills on rogue/barb but you just end up quickly realizing that the only decent builds have already been solved by Maxroll
I think it should be a requirement that the mods playtest all classes solo in hardcore before rolling new seasons/expansions out. It's really the only way for them to see how unbalanced the game is prior to launch.
Spiritborn aren't overtuned, they're bugged. Whether this is intentional on Blizzard's part, who knows, but all the tech that makes Spiritborn so such high damage comes from a bug. Like viscous shield is basing its damage on your base hp rather than your max hp so it's giving 1000%+ damage when it should max out at 33%, redirected force is counting block chance above 100%, and of course the evade bug which is actually getting fixed. And those aren't even all of them!
D4 being different/better/improved because the expansion doesn't really mean much when the bar for improvement is set so low. Spiritborne being OP is a marketing tactic too, just like D3 Necro DLC release.
@@apxpremium1047no it's overturned , gear wise you get less options than sorc , extremely easy to nerf class with very few changes . Kinda funny how ALL the Diablo partners that got into early testing are all making the exact same type of video on Friday and Saturday about the exact same things... And all talking about how they love to see more Citadel content as well. I think most players realize what is going on. Heck.. that's probably the reason why so many solo oriented players are NOT paying 40 bucks for this expansion and are walking away. The only RELIABLE reviews we are seeing right now are on Steam cause only those that actually have a copy can make a review. The receptions are MIXED . Funny enough.. those that got a FREE COPY on Steam rate the game more positively tho. So lets put that into perspective for the Diablo partners and the streamers trying to hype this MID content up.
never give a shit what youtubers feel about things. I always make my own about something. @@assassinkrug lower standards? thats why games like this continue and so many bad games are releasing over the last few years, cause you are fine spending $70 on a game that would of been 30-40, and the only reason its more is cause a horrible company called blizzard made it.
That and each dungeon should have a different boss instead of copy if the same few bosses. Also the dungeon bosses are weaker than the horde of enemy you get through the dungeon.
That mechanic is gone, sort of. Most dungeons allow you to just go straight to the end if you want and the old objectives that were there are now side objectives you can do to unlock a treasure room
They just cut 2 seasonal questlines and mashed it into a DLC, finished the whole story in 3 hours, 26 hours into the expansion and already finished pretty much every single challenge/content. Def not worth the $40, this was prob the quickest season ever for me due to the power increase for those who have the dlc/spiritborn. And for those that dont have the dlc, the season content is pitiful and they get pretty much excluded from the game, cant buy items from DLC owners no access to runes/mercs and the old part of the map is empty during helltides.
I'd say it lands in expansion territory solely because of the itemization and difficulty reworks paired with new campaign, expansions aren't meant to be standalone games people. They expand. On a game.
As a non spiritborn, I don't find it enjoyable at all. I don't mind them being OP or broken or defeating all content or whatever you want to say about that, but the visual pollution is so bad. Being near one makes your eyes melt out of your skull. I'd be happy to never see that dumb projectile spam ever again.
New to the game eh?? Rogue spams flurry dagger and heartseeker arrows. Sorc spams everything. Barb spams tornados. Druid spams landslide and lightning. Necros spam curses and pets and blood surge. And those are meta builds ...should we name the non meta spams??
After learning all these endgame features are locked behind vessel of hatred this season like runes and raids etc i honestly deleted the game, we were told that transactional extras were to be left out of d4 other than cosmetic, i can get behind an extra story and character being a justified reason to pay out aswell, but when the majority of Season 6's key features like the addition of runes and player raids are part of the design aswell its basically just a con to force people to have to pay out to continue playing d4 with all future key features ongoing. PoE can't come soon enough
Omg noooo waaayy they released an xpac that includes new features. Wow what a concept. They must be the first and only game to ever do this. *checks notes* yeah it’s done with every game.

The truth... If you dont buy the dlc. The game is very slow. Finding items are harder and few in-between. Nothing feels good until you unlock T1. But to get there is soooo much longer then before. Hell finding the mats to even enter the pit is harder to find. The game is really f up with out the dlc.
You still don't get to fight a prime evil. Blizzard still doesn't listen to feedback or test their product, otherwise they would know mats and class balance are a problem. I'm glad I waited to hear what people are saying, and didn't buy the expansion. Maybe if it goes on sale, but it's definitely not worth $40. Season 5 was great, then they gutted it.
I actually like that we haven’t fought a prime evil yet, it makes the build up to finally fighting one more rewarding in a sense. As opposed to in the previous games where you fight them in the base game and become an afterthought. The problem is that the marketing for VOH implied that we would fight Mephisto but we didn’t and it’s like wtf.
Overall, it's not a bad expansion, but I do have a bone to pick about the story progression. I have very little sense of accomplishment/resolution from the story. It feels like I bought and act from d2/d3 story wise, and now I have to wait till they "let me" buy another one, so that maybe, just maybe, there will be some real progress to the story
THe game still suffers from build diversity. Especially since they nerfed other classes to make the DLC class Op. Smh This game is living off of cut scenes and legacy
Literally what I just said in an above comment. It's so shitty. If you wanna do any late game content, you can't be 80% of builds and a ton of fun ones.
It’s so boring everyone has same items same build, item drops don’t feel good unless it’s Ubers there is too many ancestral items item power lvl feels blah skills don’t feel impactful
3:00 - no, it hasnt been solved. It' a 1 time use, so it's still almost as much of a problem as it were last time. My first time using this, 9/10 times i got the same roll and ended up with something I didn't need. Making the item trash. So on a "perfect item" you still have to settle with a low roll (if you even get what you want) because you dont want to pick a fight with the RNG Gods. I hate this. I'm fine with the scrolls, but 1 time use is absolutely ridiculous. One should be able to roll as much as one wants as long as you have scrolls.
I leveled all 5 classes in season 4 and 5 it didn’t feel too bad in season 5, you could do it in 4-5 hours pretty easily but the leveling system here is nice in terms of time, it just also feels weird not having each character be their own start. I kind of enjoyed going through the level experience more than once 😅
For me the biggest difference was to have four late game activities available, each with their own value to the game and each improving your ability to do the others, while all of them take about the same amount of time. Do a pit, do a helltide, do a realmwalker, do an undercity a couple of times - and every run is an opportunity to get something out of it. I really like it.
Good review and I'll continue watching, but I'm not feeling this season. Why would I pay for an expansion when the base game is still a work in progress?
T8 will come with xp2, T12 with xp3, and finally you'll get T16 in xp4, where you'll also be able to, at long last, fight the guy the game is named after. In 2027, after you've spent between $250 and $500 on the game. I can't enjoy an experience where I know every step of the way I'm being milked for cash to the maximum extent some consumer psychologist analyzed the average gamer as being capable of tolerating.
I lost 2x hardcore characters this season. One to a big lag spike, one to a crash to desktop. I uninstalled the game, glad I didnt waste $60cad on the expansion.
500 over 4 years…?? For how many hours of gameplay?? So $12 a month at the high end and $6 a month on the low end. If that’s a financial concern to you for pure entertainment, you should be doing something else than wasting that time on games
@@gbrandyb In fact, my issue with this derives from the fact that while *I* can easily afford it, I know many people can't. @jordancochran7979 I'm not defending blizzard because their servers are atrocious but what did you expect man, it's a terrible idea to start a hard-core character in a new season until it's been atleast a week or 2, because the start if the new season is when most people come back to try it and their servers die, also it was the launch of an expansion which probably brought back people who wouldn't normally come back for a season launch, everyone knows it's a terrible idea to start a hard-core character at the start of a new season because blizzards servers will just shit itself
My biggest complaint so far is HOW good the spiritborn feels and how many builds and variants there are available. Compared to the rest of the classes they all feel like absolute garbage in comparison
Monk d1 , druid and sin d2 , necro d3 etc , as well as tons of games where new characters or class etc is busted right away 😂 standard thing since early pre online days
Typical Blizzard format. Introduction of a new class, make it OP to get people into it, then 10+ patches with nerfs to bring them on line with other classes. They’ve done it in all their games for decades now.
I wish the campaign had some decent rewards and doing it actually brought you into unlocking the end game content. But I also think it should be made as one of the faster early game progression for leveling. Side lining the campaign and made it just a check mark done on your things to do. This is a fail on blizzard side and sad they went the route they did. For myself I also have mixed feelings about the fast oblong alts, definitely needed for the stupid item power design they’ve created, the fast leveling just feels like a bandaid to the failed concept of this design. Really the only items are 750 and 800. Also, all the class specific items just makes every char I make feel like the same grind until ever char swaps out 5 mythic…. Meh.
It will be nerfed by next season. Blizzard just wants players to buy it especially because of a powerful and fun class. Once that’s over, it’ll be brought in line with the rest of the classes.
Not really. My necromancer is on penitent with half the attack power than my spirit born Blasting through hard difficulty, but still get squished if I don't keep my rotation correct to keep my barrier and gorrila passives active
I am literally praying on forums by a way to imbue Blade Shift with Poison since Pestilent Points was released. Spiritborn got it out of the box. Me: 🤡
One of my issues with scrolls is they are yellow, and due to the lack of in game filters I've simply started filtering out the color yellow and I'm afraid I've missed some.
My only complaint with the expansion is that a lot of the features of the expansion really feel like they should be base game. Like the amount of re-temper scrolls or the ways to target farm things. And it kind of gives me concern that we are going to see a paywall divide where either major problems go unaddressed in the base game, or we see new features added that obsolete the expansion content to act as a fix to main game players. It also gives the feeling that there were just problems with the main game that only get fixed for people paying more for the fixes, and that in a way they are using the problems of the main game to sell expansions to players who may not have cared about the campaign or new class. I also kind of feel like the fact that Runewords are in the expansion and not the base game is why Blizzard is not making them more impactful, as to not create any builds that strictly require a runeword, or make such a power gap that the game feels too easy with the expansion and too hard without it.
The only thing that nobody mentioned is that they killed the FPS . I get frame drops in Nahantu like crazy. And I have a fairly good laptop. Hopefully, the performance will improve after some updates.

3 Billion damage!? You don't see the Problem? The higher the numbers go, the less balance a game has! The Devs are idiots! This is going to end up just like Diablo 3!
You think 3 billion damage (assuming you've grinded your ass off to get the BEST items in the game - which SHOULD feel rewarding) is "a lot" in Torment 4?
I really like experiencing Tier 4 torment via the pit first, as it’s a good way to gauge defense etc. It’s really a DPS check, as I found after getting my glyphs to 45 and at least 150 points into paragon, I was able to defeat the pit gate check before changing the world tier.
couldn't disagree more, on almost every point -- normally I have several level 100's each season (except s3).. now, I'm not even going to make it to torment 1. can't put my finger on it exact, everything just feels boring and unrewarding.
They lengthened the playtime required to max out. The progression was way too quick in previous seasons, and this was a much needed change. Also, progressing through torment tiers is satisfying…you haven’t put enough time in.
I played about 10hr, I agree it felt unrewarding and boring. Upgrading my +20 stat gear for +21 stat after an hour of grinding wasn't fun. It was too fast before, now it's too slow.
I totally agree I got 100s in every season, and now I am like Paragon120 on torment3 and it's already over for me..I already spent all the summoning mats from the Season Journey, crafted some mythics..season is over..and they havent even fixed all their bugs, problems and lags 😂 D4 bad
You described my experience exactly as a new player, I left the campaign at Paragon 10 or 11 because I was having such a good time, I didn't even realize how much experience I was getting from doing random side stuff or Nightmare Dungeons in between campaign missions that I dinged 60 super fast. That's how it should be! I'm hooked now and I almost certainly would've quit if I was only halfway to max after playing the base Diablo 4 campaign.
The game is broken, in no online game have I ever had so many disconnects as in this one. And continuous latency jumps from 100 to 2000. Its annoying(((
I really agree with your final conclusion here. The progression itself keeps me coming back, and the way that the systems and activities flow into each other is now in its final form.
For me it's the massive grind just to get materials in order to even attempt a boss. By the time I get the materials I'm burnt out and doing the boss doesn't even sound interesting anymore
@@scubadude2858? Boss materials are easy to get now. Whisper boxes spit out mats for like a min straight including summon mats. You can use other mats you have to craft summon items. And there's still helltide that throws living steel and blood at you like candy
@@scubadude2858 totally agree here doing the strongholds is fun, but they should be saved for all new characters so we only have to do it 1 time on our main.
Thankyou for actually playing the game properly and giving a proper review on everything. Have seen so much hate on the game by people that are just judging it by the campaign. We are all only really going to play the campaign once or twice so it's really not that big of a deal. It wasn't even that bad, just didn't like the way it ended. The game in its entirety is actually really good, they have done a really good job over this last year of bringing the game to where it is now. It's only going to keep getting better and better.
$40 isn't an enormous amount of money, but its also not nothing. Think of it this way, if you only get 20 hours out of it (you'll likely get much more), you're paying $2/hour for entertainment. That's pretty cheap. On the other hand, if you don't like the game, it's $40 wasted. Personally, I'm enjoying it and most people who aren't edge lords sticking with their, "D4 bad, POE perfect" mindset seem to be enjoying it, as well.
I'm genuinely having fun. I think the expansion improved a lot of things, and brought many QoL changes... And I have like 1k+ hours in PoE. But it's your money
As someone who quit after season 1 and tried each new season and didn’t stick after a day… this expansion finally drew me back in & spiritborn is awesome.
All I can say is that I'm really enjoying it and it is significantly better; that's all that matters to me. People can threadcrap all over it because it seems to be a popular thing to do, but to each their own. Well worth the price of eating out at a restaurant to me.
Eating out at a restaurant lmao. What a dumb analogy. If that was the case it would be the waiter bringing out cheesecake, letting you sniff it and take a bite then wrestling the moosh from your mouth lmao. People who enjoy this game and accept what blizzard is doing are casuals, smoothbrains or fan boys. Anyone who values their time, money or has respect for themselves as a gamer or the community of gaming understands that this is straight theft. This game is all about money and appealing to the audience that will give them more money. Little dad bod timmy and his wife who previously only played candy crush and Sims just think this shit is the best game ever. 😂 YOU earn nothing in these games, everything is monetized, the expansions are thin and lack depth, the story was so disappointing and there are still problems they aren't addressing because that would take content away from their further 12th expansion. Money grubbing company who cares not about the game and only about squeezing everything they can before they have to actually listen to the audience. Want a paladin? We'll pay 40 dollars and we will give you a half ass monk and tease you fighting a classic boss. Yeah, best iteration of the game but that's not speaking much when it was a literal pile of shit.
Honestly, the biggest problem with Torment IV is the damage enemies can soak. Running my andariel barrage rogue and while I burn almost everything on Torment III. I can survive Torment IV but I don't do enough damage to do any content effectively. Especially bosses.
I get what you're saying. However this shouldn't be a surprise to anyone considering the fact that Blizzard announced before D4 even launched that it's story and content would be developed through multiple expansions. Meaning you are not fighting Diablo before the last expansion gets released.
FYI, obducite is best earned in NMDs. It beats out IHs for obducite per min. Also, you can use seething opals in NMDs but not IHs. So if you exactly need just obducite or want to farm with seething opals up, although the worst overall endgame activity, at least has its place.
Forcing you to play all aspects of the game is crap. You should be getting everything EVERYWHERE. Apart from uber uniques or uniques i don't see target farming as a strength. You should let people gather materials and level glyph xp where they prefer. If you don't like pits and dungeons you shouldn't be forced to do them. Also glyphs should be ACCOUNT WIDE so we don't waste time. You level them once and and then your alt can enjoy that without unnecessary grind! Also items feel really underwhelming. Getting a uniqe even if it's not for your build should be significant and entice you to try some other build while you got lucky. Uber uniques should be limited to maybe 2 per build and should also be WAY WAY BETTER. Getting one to complement you build should boost your damage significantly like double it or something!
I’d agree but when devs make rewards earnable everywhere the game will slowly die and begin boring. Whole point of this is to put players in situations to test their build, if you can earn everything just doing helltides, why do you even care to grow, and how long until people get bored? It’s a proven fact, people will naturally choose the path with least resistance.
@@SpliffyHusk You can still have ways to test your build without locking the resurces behind it. Stop pretending we need xp glyphs in Pits for example. We don't. @@kojivamracku9690 he's correct about people getting bored. People do follow the path of least resistance and the game gets smaller. Again, facilitating trade solves both issues and adds another content vector. It's a new character...that means you start off new. Y'all want everything to be so easy. The leveling is already way too quick in this game, nothing feels earned. Glyphs account wide is just entitled and takes the fun out of leveling.
For ppl having crash issues, check your graphic settings. I played initial d4 in all ultra setting with no issues. In VoH i was having stuttering and crashes. I checked the setting and they changed the ultra texture settings to be for 4K, high is now for upto 4k. I switched to high, lost no image quality and my stuttering and crashes stopped. This may not work for everyone but it fixed my issues
I got crashes and unending loading screens and a lot of bullshit while I downloaded twice 40 GBs of updates, all of that while I didn't even buy the new thing. The game became much slower overall and I had to reduce graphics to get it as it used to be before I (didn't) buy the expansion.
You have attack power 7200 and attack for bilions while I have 7k and do barely 2 milion wtf... I have glyphs at 46 and I use blood surge necro with paragon 214... I dont get it how the hell one class is shit and second is OP. Its bad design of game...
its all the math behind the came with multiplicative mechanics...attack power means nothing...and its always best to just wait for that uber build like the broken evade one and then build that build...if you go blind you will most likely build something crappy or just stop playing the game and wait for poe 2
Measuring your DPS by attack power is going to end up with you crashing your skull into a wall. You’d have to do the calculations yourself, but AP is not a metric you want to trust. I have 5k power and I’m hitting for 5-8 million as a bare bones meteor sorcerer.
NMD’s do have a great new addition! “Experience Wells” can be found in the NMD’s which have the bonus XP affix. Those wells grant an additional 15% XP for an hour (the time is stackable if you hit multiple wells). That + the extra obducite and some forgotten souls makes it really great to sprinkle in while you grind that paragon!
That and the ones that have the optional objective for the treasure room is a pretty nice addition as well. Found myself actually enjoying full clearing each dungeon while hunting for my glyphs

Some of us Solo Players (AKA yucky, anti-social nerds) really dislike being forced to group with 3 randos in order to complete certain content. EDIT: The game does have fun aspects & new additions that I like, but I can't deny the boredom that has set in. See ya in season 7, I guess! 😎
The game is very pretty, and has a cool world and combat, but I have the same problems as you. The game has like zero variety. The skills you are using at level 25 are the same skills you are using at max level. There is really no progression. Just the illusion of progression. There is no build variety and almost no skill variety. I just get bored of it so fast.
@@taiidaniblues7792 how are you finding all the aspects, uniques, and runes at level 25? The skills do change a lot depending on the aspects that you that you imprint or the uniques that you use.
I'm happy that I've bought this will everylast bit of gold i had in wow. the expansion cost me 20$ and so far it feels like its what it should have cost all along. But lets be honest: the game should have been way better before selling an expansion.
How can we praise the progression of a game when you can more or less max out your gear and do all content in 3 days since the launch of a new expansion?
Miat people can't (and wouldn't if they could) play video games for 6-18 hours/day. Some of us have real jobs, wives, children....you know.... *actual lives outside video games.* Doing all this in three days is something only a streamer or complete loser is capable of.
Bro, touch grass ain’t no way you got maxed out in three days. It took me three days just to do the campaign and fuck around a little bit on the map. POE two is coming out soon. I bet you’ll really like that one real slog fest.
Glad I waited to purchase knowing its not super worth it. Hopefully more people wait to buy on the next one until they know the content there is worth almost a full box price game.
I really cannot believe people are still playing D4...still giving it chance after chance..... and dropping more money on an expansion just to be like "it finally has some potential".......
Bro poe was trash for years now it's popular and for good reason. What a dumb mindset lol. Y'all just mad they're improving the game because you're hard stuck in a hater mentality.
Fun fact; NMDs are actually way better than hordes for masterworking mats. I get about 1200 obducite per 3min NMD, and the average IH run is 12ish mins and gives like 4000 on the very top end with 1300+ aether in T4. So NMDs are better for it, but yeah they're really not super fun to do usually
@@polybius9089 you say that but many people have reached the end of their rope with Blizzard. Diablo is already the only game I'll buy from them and if they do it badly it'll be the last Diablo I buy.

@@DoctorStrange01 I'm a diablo 2 super fan and the game at launch needed some item changes but over all I liked the speed, leveling of the game, now its just D3 but worse to me.
@@DoctorStrange01 I loathed the masterworking and tempering system atleast as it makes changing your build without hours of grinding impossible. Pretty much stopped playing after that, but probably should try the game again with the paragon changes etc. As for gear, I much more prefer PoE system where you level up the gems and not the gear. Considering that PoE is clearly a superior product, only thing I really enjoyed about diablo 4 was that it was (and still is) a super dumbed down eyecandy game compared to PoE.
They basically brought everything we loved from D3 into D4 with some new systems and a class that’s a pseudo-hybrid Monk, Crusader, Witch Doctor. And with that said, I’m loving it!
@@ronuss Wait, did you just say D3 had decent writing and story ? That is fcking wild, even D4's base story is better than D3's "evil butterfly" plot, lmao.
@@DoctorStrange01 d3 had a more interesting plot by far and was written so you could actual fight prime evils, unlike d4. the war on heaven, the cain stuff was at least interesting and you wanted to know more, thats a lot better writing than d4, that what really? manipulation of the church and a girl making stupid mistkaes over and over again that leads to nothing...
I think tempering is still a problem. You should be able to use the scrolls infinitely on an item. Also stop the back to back same temper. Nothing feels worse than getting 4 back to back core skill damage when you are going for ultimate skill damage… I’d prefer the temper rotate. You would know it would take 3 guaranteed tempers to get back to where you were but your risk is getting a potentially worse temper.
If you want mercenaries, rune words, the undercity, the citadel, the new area, and the new class, you need to buy the expansion. Personally, I like it. You can also wait until the expansion goes on sale if you’re still unsure of whether to get it or not.
So, you hit 60. I've unlocked the Underground by beating Alia. I've got up to Pit 28 Got 4 Glyphs to level 15. Where is the best to farm gear? Curiosity Vendor? Helltide? Whispers?
I really like the Mercs. I'm playing Bone Spear. I have the Companion CD Reduction/Cast Reinforcement on Ultimate use Aspect. I have Reheir as a Reinforcement. I have his stun bound to Corpse explosion(You can back to back Merc Skill via using your ultimate and then whatever Skill you tied your Merc Skill to.). Basically, I have the means to stack Mobs for Bone Spear easier even my CC is on cooldown:) The crazy chick is my Main Merc. That attack buff is great.
I finally had a chance to try it yesterday and have had NPC's missing in quests, had to redo a campaign mission, and other problems. Do not like how the story starts out for a spirit born character, it just does not fit.
Never played the campaign until I hit 60, went from Normal to T1 and will most likely go from T1 straight to T4. Main Cons: 1. Iron Chunks leveling up was low and tedious. 2. Can not have my pet with a mercenary, I want both of them, so I opt to have only the pet, until they fix this. 3. RNG on tempering is a little flawed, sometimes selects the same stat with every roll, like it is not randomly selecting. 4. With the size of the expansion map, your ride (horse) duration of running needs to be longer, or cooldown increased. Hoping: I am usually a hardcore player D1-D3, so far I have hit paragon 80 and have not yet died. So, as long as they have removed the one-shot kill, I'll consider hardcore once again, as they totally ruined hardcore in this game with the one-shot mechanics.
5:55 I would love running dungeons as an alternative to Helltides for literally anything. Give me less efficiency, give me overall less xp, give me forgotten souls, give me smaller Glyph XP...and I will run dungeons over and over. I much prefer the dungeons than Helltides. Also, can you even get forgotten souls from salvaging anymore, I haven't noticed one yet.
It’s fun but they need to add leaderboards for all end game activities. First to kill pinnacle bosses, reach paragon 300, first to beat pit and highest run/shortest time. Each class. Get the competition back to increase hype even if most of those are done in a week but thats an end game issue. (Need harder bosses and chase content)
As someone who has not played Diablo 4 I have a question that hopefully someone can answer. For that higher level torment where armor is reduced by a thousand and resistances by 100%, does that mean that that resistances contribute nothing at all to your defense at that torment level? Or is it like bringing you into the negative on resistances and resistances from gear and such still push it closer to 0% instead of negative?
Im playing Druid now with paragon 80 and i just hope u make a videos about different styles of playing it. I play the classic Pulverize and it slaps like nothing else but idk where the dmg comes from xd

wow playing the most broken class most be hard xD
been playing aRPGs since original release of Diablo, the core of an aRPG is nice feeling action gameplay in a fantasy setting, the depth of build and itemization is bonus but first the gameplay must feel good
D4 devs have specifically prided themselves in interviews that they consider D4 the first "s-aRPG", or systems-aRPG, where in their own words "what matters is not the combat, but what you do *before* combat [build tuning] and *after* combat* [loot/gear micromanagement]
In their own words, the actual gameplay of combat, that which the game is about, was a secondary concern. And it shows.
the actual truth is you don't need 9000 people to make diablo 4

Spoiler ahead. I love everything about this expansion so far... except for the resolution of the story. I had a big "Is that it?" Moment before learning that yes, that was actually the final boss.
Bro. This was billed as a Mephisto expansion. I wanted to fight Mephisto. Feels like they edged us and then pulled it back to save for later. Not a fan of this at all.
Nope make it fejls like a Cash crap.

Blizzard has an obsession with creating more and more types of currencies
Still not as bad as PoE
They are slowly preparing people for when all of their games have microtransactions
nothing bad about PoE's system for crafting@@whatifwaterwaschunky7199
@@whatifwaterwaschunky7199 At least in PoE every currency has a specific use though (and many having alternate uses as well). It is overwhelming when first getting into the game, but when I decided that I wanted to support the company, I decided to get the Currency Stash Tab, and that really helped me organize and understand them better. :) They definitely have the best stash tabs out of any game I have played. Part of me hopes that they patented it, so that other's have to pay to use them in games, but another part of me hopes they didn't patent it so that all games can participate and benefit in the innovation of gaming.
Not obsession, but a way to make you grind more and more unnecessarily.

I clear t4 easy doing 1.3 billion as a necromancer
The spirit born will always be one of the best classes even after nerf just because of his base abilities and the way the class is made

I still own my D2 battle cheat and D3 copies INSTALLED, game also has more content than poe did for first 4-5 leagues easily as it was still a D2 clone then and had not really turned into what it is now 😂
Its still bad since most of the good additions is gated by the expansion.

@@iMegaShadow Yeah I pretty much agree with all of this, even if the DLC had been 20$ I sill would of said its just so so.
I'd say it lands in expansion territory solely because of the itemization and difficulty reworks paired with new campaign, expansions aren't meant to be standalone games people. They expand. On a game.
This would’ve been a free league on PoE with 4x the content. Just saying…

The problem is that the marketing for VOH implied that we would fight Mephisto but we didn’t and it’s like wtf.
Overall, it's not a bad expansion, but I do have a bone to pick about the story progression. I have very little sense of accomplishment/resolution from the story. yes its shameful lets buff the new class so we make more money an piss on anyone who doesn't want to play it
Wym? There's between 5-14 builds for each class (and this only for Endgame, not Leveling too)... at the moment
New campaign was dumb I felt disappointed when it was over. Like thats it?
You mean you didn't like venom jesus?

@@DarkepyonX I played as barbarian and bard in Diablo 1 Hellfire (you edited a file to unlock them)
sometimes I feel bad for streamers. Like I would unironically rather work an irl job all day than play D4 all day.
Meh.
Playing without the expansion- this is one of the least enjoyable seasons so far.
I have the DLC. The seasonal mechanic is extremely dull and uninspired.
Players without the expansion paid 70 for diablo 4 demo.
Spiritborn is doing too much compared to all classes, the damage is ridiculous
Agree I did a torment 3 legion solo, got all 3 bosses without breaking a sweat just spamming evade
Disappointing that you can only use a scroll to get the reroll of tempers one time per item. Ive still found a way to brick good items
I think they disabled dlss, so maybe we get more fps when it's back.

3 Billion damage!? You don't see the Problem? The higher the numbers go, the less balance a game has! The Devs are idiots! This is going to end up just like Diablo 3!
Remember when they said they dont plan to make D4 do ridiculous dmg like D3? 😂😂
exactly except its worse
You think 3 billion damage (assuming you've grinded your ass off to get the BEST items in the game - which SHOULD feel rewarding) is "a lot" in Torment 4?
the stats got squished bro dont you see the squishing
do you kids ever stop crying holy shit
I really like experiencing Tier 4 torment via the pit first, as it’s a good way to gauge defense etc. It’s really a DPS check, as I found after getting my glyphs to 45 and at least 150 points into paragon, I was able to defeat the pit gate check before changing the world tier.
couldn't disagree more, on almost every point -- normally I have several level 100's each season (except s3).. now, I'm not even going to make it to torment 1. can't put my finger on it exact, everything just feels boring and unrewarding.
Just you bro lmao
They lengthened the playtime required to max out. The progression was way too quick in previous seasons, and this was a much needed change. Also, progressing through torment tiers is satisfying…you haven’t put enough time in.
I played about 10hr, I agree it felt unrewarding and boring. Upgrading my +20 stat gear for +21 stat after an hour of grinding wasn't fun. It was too fast before, now it's too slow.
I totally agree I got 100s in every season, and now I am like Paragon120 on torment3 and it's already over for me..I already spent all the summoning mats from the Season Journey, crafted some mythics..season is over..and they havent even fixed all their bugs, problems and lags 😂
D4 bad
You watched Coh’s video and went brain dead. Form your own opinion.

It's only going to keep getting better and better.
i dont care about story
I still can't decide if it's worth buying or not.
same here just still waiting
I'm unsure too. It's not even about the 40 bucks. It just looks kind of boring... and PoE2 AE is so close
$40 is nothing. We were paying $70 for console titles 20 years ago. Those didn’t receive multiple updates after launch.
Bunch of whiners.
This is the best D4 iteration since launch. I am enjoying it a lot. VoH is a huge W for me
they need to add extra skill slot option! with longer story quest.
All I can say is that I'm really enjoying it and it is significantly better; that's all that matters to me. People can threadcrap all over it because it seems to be a popular thing to do, but to each their own. Well worth the price of eating out at a restaurant to me.
I like how you passive aggressively devalue negative opinions as just doing it because it's "popular" to do.
@@Bottlekap No, I devalued the opinions of people doing it *because* it's popular to do.

Haha Blizzard is two years into a diablo game without giving the fans Diablo. Clown stuff. D4dog.
It's been a year, simple math.. I don't wanna see Diablo yet.
If the game facilitated trading, target farming would be a good thing.
We don't. Same goes for upgrade materials and everthing else locked behind some gimmick.
Game where i enjoy myself vs forced content that locks me out of progress if i don't like playing it....hmmm which one will make me leave first.....????!!!!
@@kojivamracku9690 he's correct about people getting bored. People do follow the path of least resistance and the game gets smaller. Again, facilitating trade solves both issues and adds another content vector. People like to farm different things, you sell goods from your favorite farm and purchase the goods from someone else's favorite farm. Everybody wins and all content is worth doing.
It's a new character...that means you start off new. Y'all want everything to be so easy. The leveling is already way too quick in this game, nothing feels earned. Glyphs account wide is just entitled and takes the fun out of leveling.
It’s good that they address the issue with lack of forgotten souls straight away rather than waiting til mid season patch.
As a casual player I like the current paragon, becasue some of the progress doesn't get "lost" if I play seasonal realms only.
You have attack power 7200 and attack for bilions while I have 7k and do barely 2 milion wtf... I have glyphs at 46 and I use blood surge necro with paragon 214... I dont get it how the hell one class is shit and second is OP. Its bad design of game...
Devs have literally no idea what they are doing
attack power is not how you should measure your dps - its worthless
its all the math behind the came with multiplicative mechanics...attack power means nothing...and its always best to just wait for that uber build like the broken evade one and then build that build...if you go blind you will most likely build something crappy
or just stop playing the game and wait for poe 2
He didn't say he's doing billions of damage. He said half a billion, 500 million. Why he said it like that is beyond me
Measuring your DPS by attack power is going to end up with you crashing your skull into a wall.

Never played the campaign until I hit 60, went from Normal to T1 and will most likely go from T1 straight to T4.
Main Cons:
Hoping:
I am usually a hardcore player D1-D3, so far I have hit paragon 80 and have not yet died.

It seems like using the seething opals with a nightmare dungeon is a solid way to target gold, runes, etc.
