Mike is asked by a Las Vegas entertainer to come to Vegas. Mike refuses, he is then knocked out and dropped (literally) into Las Vegas. He is led to believe that the entertainer had him shanghaied, which the entertainer denies. Later the entertainer is blown up (literally) and someone has planted evidence that points to Mike. Mike then sets out to try and clear his name but everyone he goes to get information is killed and he is again the suspect. Can Mike find someone who can clear him and can he keep that person alive long enough to do so?

Yes, there are some parallels to the Rockford Files, however the writing and acting was much better, and had one of the most talented and beloved American male actors ever, James Garner. 🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂

Once again!!!! Good ol' Mike comes through! Real heroics or should we say superhuman action. Cracked ribs, Busted head, out in the desert. Las Vegas has sure changed since I lived there ( 1942 )! NYC has too but.... it's still the only city! Keep 'em coming Mike!

Only Mike could be lucky enough to be gone for a week, come back, and pick up where he left off. Yikes! The women are truly beautiful. I love Linda Carter. ❤ It is sad that life, sometimes, is a sheep dip show, and you can't find the honey. The school of hard knocks will eventually visit everyone. Thanks for uploading a great video.

It's about time a studio released a new Mike Hammer film. But I guess with all the stupidity I've been seeing of late, maybe they'd screw it up. On second thought, scratch that. Keach will do just fine.

Completely ridiculous, and very entertaining, in the tradition of Mickey Spillane flicks.
There's approximately two full minutes missing in this movie, and they must contain Don Stroud's appearance as the plane's captain. The athletic and durable Stroud, as of 2024, is still working and going strong at 80. Tragically, the once NFL Raider, Lyle Alzado, 6 years younger, would be deceased within 3 years of this movie's release in 1989, having paid a huge price for use of PEDs i.e. steroids.

Stacey Keach as Mike Hammer was entertaining when this aired especially since I lived in a rural area where we did not have movie theaters in our town and limited tv channels back then. I like Stacey Keach and Spillane writes like a misogynist! Once past that and looking at the books as they were written one can be entertained!

I used to love this series, but I kind of wish it was set in the 30s...
The characters were first created for the 1940s, shortly after the 2nd world war.

The cheesy story, juvenile script, B" grade acting, and Keach was an embarrassment.
Used to watched this alot during the 80s but then again not much to do then or watch. Now I find this one a little boring.. With all his story telling and a plot that out of place. I'm out.. I could nailed me to watch this anymore.. 🕳️👎💩💩💩💩💩
