Sending out a great Big Thanks to CHRIS JONES for suggesting Swan Song to us!!!
Just heard this for first time today. I love it. Have listened to it all day 😊. So glad I found it while scrolling.
What an incredible song lyrically, sometimes the delivery makes the message sound sweeter and this message is loud and it’s so poignant to what’s happening all around the world right now. What a powerful song.
Ren was playing a melodica... and doing so standing with nothing to stabilize the keyboard and still not making the music shaky was fantastic. It may not be a party song but I would absolutely listen and sing along in the car.
Yes! I would definitely sing along in the car… or try to. Haha ✌️
Definitely!!!
This is the Soul of BARDCORE.
So glad you reacted to this - it's a true hidden gem which gets overlooked for some reason.
This track more than anything just highlights to me that the Big Push are the closest thing to a modern day Beatles there is - fearless, confident, experimental and yet never seem to take themselves too seriously. Add to the insane talent levels in the band and it is intoxicating - they do not have one bad performance, be it a cover or original song.
Edited to say - Suer's initial reaction 🥰 and Ren is playing a melodica.
After watching this - and seeing their busking videos and live performances at the Brighton dome, I don’t think there’s anything they can’t do
Exactly! they are not afraid to shout what matters when then sing!!!
This is so beautiful, their harmonies are killer, Gorran wrote this song, Gorran and Romain has said the harmonies were always very important for the band they nailed it ,,,, … When Ren was at home the 3 lived together, could you imagine being their neighbors and hearing them .. I would be the crazy neighbor always sitting outside just listening ...
lol - That's understandable. I'd be out there listening with ya
What do you see with the eyes in your head?
Pitiful struggle, or are you content?
Fear and anger so garishly clothed, resignation and ignorance tied up in bows
A king to a pauper, a sad wizened clown
A joke an’ a punchline, people all ’round,
Rose-tinted glasses and no-one is sane
A big waltzing blindfold, we are what we play
We are what we play, and nothing is sane
What can he hear with his ears in his hands?
Her silently weeping, his head in the sand
Patiently lurking in water in wine, he'll drown by her tears, or choke on his time
For what we've forsaken and taken too soon
Before murdering old mother, we'd dance on the moon
Deaf to the thunder that silently cracks, we're holding our breath until her collapse
What do you feel with your heart in your chest?
Some few thousand years, could soon come to rest
Do you feel the butcher? The bullet that bores
With corkscrewing chaos and mighty a roar
What do you feel with your heart in your chest?
Some few thousand years could soon come to rest
On the shoulders of man and his bag full of bombs
Bell tolling destruction our final swan song
🙏
🙏🏼
This was recorded in St Peter’s Church in Brighton. I used to live nearby and it's a very calming space. As an atheist it was still great to just sit there and let the cares of the world recede for a while.
Beautiful architecture
I searched "Church Organ Brighton" and found the exact image of that Organ in The Church of Saint Bartholomew, Ann St.
cross checked images of St Peters... completely different. It's St Barts without doubt.
I love it , and my family would love it but then again, my Brother-in-law is a folk singer.
Does your brother like Gorran’s solo stuff?
“Ren - you’ve done hip hop, rap, reggae, pop, ska - what else have you got?”
“Have you seen my medieval boy band?”😂 (The Back in Time Boys)
Seriously, Ren is just making it so difficult for everyone else (in one of her last posts online Sinead O Connor - after watching Hi Ren - said the rest of music should pack up and get jobs in Burger King because nobody can match this guy).
He’s ridiculously talented
I am obsessed with this song it is beautiful! It’s one of my top 5 of TBP 🖤
That was a strong English folk music vibe, with a little French twist added by Ren, on whatever instrument that was, lol. Wonderful! :)
I love this song so much
I love that you chose this one to react to. One of my favourites because of the harmonies. For more great harmonies the Big Push have a cover of Praise you and a mash up of These boots are made for walking/ Satisfaction/ Everybody
Their harmonies are great! We’re definitely gonna get to those suggestions. Happy there’s still more from The Big Push we have yet to get to
This song really intrigues me
This was the 1st video they did as a band
Wow really!!!

I don’t listen to “Swan Song” a lot, compared to most of The Big Push’s music, but when I do, it makes my soul soar. 🕊️ Thank you for reacting to this.
Beautiful song
Great reaction. This is my favourite Big Push original💕👍🦇
Their harmonies are insane
Have seen Ren & Liv Sangster live studio session. She's got a fantastic voice and The guitar playing from them both is great .
We watched a busking thing they did together. It was great, but unfortunately my old computer system didn’t run smoothly that day and the video was lost to glitches. We want to watch more with Liv and Ren. Another great combo
Love this beautiful folk song but it’s scary. Hope my descendants get to dance on other planets but not being billionaires, I doubt it. Thanks for your reactions. ❤
We're convinced there's nothing these guys can't do
You ain't wrong.
Too true.
So brilliant you found this one as it isn't reacted to that much, yet such a beauty!
The best thing about doing this reaction channel is all of you fans in the comments making suggestions to us. We're guided by the people who love the music.
This song makes me feel like crying for some reason. Well I know the reason but it’s just beautiful
Probably because they’re singing about the ruination of Mother Earth.
Brilliant!!! 👍😀
🎵🎵🎵
Yay! So glad you reacted to this. I love listening to this at night by myself. Puts me in an introspective kinda mood.
That’s the perfect use for this song 👍👍
The message gives you a lot to think about and what side of the line do you want to stand on?
So beautiful.
Again they have produced a work of art.... Thanks
Absolutely
Perfection on steroids. Peace ✌️
✌️
This one is on my playlist and is played multiple times a day.
I think it has the essence of a Christmas song.
Have you two checked out Gorran or Romains channels yet?
Romains fans now refer to themselves as "Romaniacs".
As with Ren, I prefer Romains live recordings even more than the studio recordings.
Beautiful song! We’ve explored much of Romain’s music. Here’s our playlist - ruclips.net/p/PLk0WVMfomnI69c6j8_z5GJ6jaPYw_a_Tj&si=7enN-PxqXi2mM0WO - We’ve also checked out a song by Gorran. It was very folky. We’ll be getting back to more of his stuff too
Super familiar now with Romine and after seeing a number of reactions by Big Push I’m now astonished at the spectrum of song styles Gorran can rock out!!! all three are powerful singers in their own, right
❤❤
🌎✌️❤️🎵
The lyrics are amazing! check out Praise you!
We loved that one! Check it out here-
