I read Mueller's autobiography and found it to be great encouragement. It increased my faith. I still have the book and pull it out now & then to re-read. God IS faithful.
I highly recommend George Mueller’s autobiographies, documentaries, and journals. What a faith, this is trusting God. Mueller was a joyful content man who did major works for the Lord and experienced no pressures from it. Even if he had done nothing but believe, he would have been the same content man as long as it was the Holy Ghost who was leading him. Mueller teaches us that trust is more than a word, it’s action minus anxiety, and he teaches us that dependency is not dwelling on the mountain top. We trust daily and every answered prayer is a hug from our Father. God is trustworthy!

I love seeing God move in His sovereignty. It makes me fall down and worship the God of heaven and earth. I love that what makes me adore my Lord. I so seek and long for that fire in my heart that burns in love for God. My heart is happy in Christ. I see many happy people in this World who dont know God and I can't understand it. That statement I do agree with so unfortunately that has changed a lot of my subscriptions. I always enjoyed pure flicks but you can't be sending money to organizations that appear and collaborate with other organizations that promote the prosperity gospel. I will further investigate John Piper's role but I do but I do think I should unsubscribe until I have more answers. He has appeared with them. Plain and simple, you cannot promote an organization that promotes a prosperity gospel! You can't appear on their show or go on stage with them. You have to call them out and rebuke them so no new Christians fall into the beliefs. Prayers for clarity on this confusing subject.
I heard Paul Washer, one of my favorites, give a good word about a Christian rapper who said several things that were very disturbing. I will be researching lots of what I've read on the matter and also more careful to jump on board by subscribing to new channels so quickly.
Are you sure you're thinking of the right Bethel? Bethel College (now Bethel University), where Piper used to teach, is not the same thing as the other Bethel. Also, Bethlehem Baptist Church is another different thing that sounds similar.
