This is why SB19 is called the live vocal monsters. That is why SB19 never uses head mics, only hand mics. Because they do intense choreo, head mics might just fly off their heads.
Their back up dancers are called SKOUTS, the fandom is called A’tin. &Team is a JPop group. Another reactor boldly said that Korea could learn a thing or two on how the Philippines handle their concerts and musical performances. We give a premium on sound quality AND our artists always sing with live mics, never lipsync. Her words, not mine. 😁 The boys definitely set the bar soooo high. Next up: the Grammys. 🤞🏽

They are in their viral era once again. But this time, it's worldwide. Kpop fans were raving about how good SB19 live vocals are perhaps because they are not used to that in kpop. Only SB19 uses handheld mics. That stadium is 55k capacity and with the amount of A-list kpop stars and celebrities invited, the tickets cost an arm and a leg. So A'tin is not even 5% of the audience but damn! The cheers from the crowd seems like it was an SB19 solo concert. Even the Korean artists were hyped, a lot even stood up and danced. There were fancams that caught these artists cheered and some scratched their head when Stell nailed those heavenly notes. They were second to perform but they set the stage on fire that expectations for the succeeding acts became very high. Those part of the live crowd really said SB19 was the best performer of AAA.

They've been through a lot of legal issues with their labels etc... But their team managed to surpass the hurdles, I mean the boys have been quiet for some time. I think the Philippines don't have what you call technology or auto tune. Filipino singers don't need Auto tun. They are better when they perform in live. ❤

Singers who lip sync are not loved. We know when they lip sync. Filipinos frown on lip sync
Actually we have autotune, but singing is a HOLY to us. If you're a singer you CANNOT!! hear me you CANNOT!! lipsync or sound engineered your voice.
We only make a pass with actors singing, they're ok lipsync since they are not singers. But for real singers you can't lipsync its a mortal sin.
No matter how many times I watch this performance, I still feel so proud, overwhelmed and awestruck by the power that exudes from these 5 men vocally and physically. So glad to have discovered this amazing artists from my native land. I hope they come back to the US yearly so I can watch them often. Thank you for your support and informative reactions to SB19. Not only was there no split, the first portion of Gento was just percussion. They took the lead for the Fifth Anniversary prod as accompaniment. Talk about guts and talent! 🙌🏼

I was there in the venue and let me tell you that SB19 was the only group who performed with clear live vocals along with choreo from start to finish. The K-Pop acts were mostly focused on dancing and loud backtrack music.

I watch some Korean group performance I don't want to bash them..but to be honest I don't feel any excitement or intense in their performance maybe because to me

This comment is what I am dying to hear. Comparing ppop to Kpop. Kpop artist did not prepare well. Sb19 juat showed them how it ahould be done. That's howalive concert should be arranged and played.

I watched it in the arena and it is soooooo soo good. And you’re right, a bunch of the other groups just did lip syncing, some prolly 80:20 split seems like and the 80 prerecorded. The solo performers are good tho, they sang live, Youngji, Jaejoong and Dindin.

Ah, no. Koreans don't have the vocal chops as Filipino singers in general.
I wasn't there but a lot said that the audience cheered for everyone, no picking cherries, no black ocean. And that's true, like even in the simplest gathering like fiestas or like band fest, even if the audience went for a particular artist, we would still cheer for everyone. Especially sometimes if the artist doesn't have a lot of fans in the crowd (they didn't attend whatever), and so the cheers are quiet, it's just normal for us to clap and cheer along. And it's not because of pity (at least that's how I am), but just to give support.
I’m glad to hear this. We are the host nation. We should be nice and welcoming to our guests. No guest should feel left out. Now, if only we praise SB19 without comparing to other groups, it would be nicer.

"No need to dim someone else's light to make yours shine brighter" whenever people (any fandom, any nation) compare, I gotta put down my phone, skip the video, fast forward, or just don't read comments (and that's unfortunate coz love reading comments, reading what the community talks about). It also hurts the artists, honestly, even if we say we should separate the artists & fans, but if it feels off, it'll really have an impact.
