Lewis Marnell was the future. He was just doing his thing with integrity, but Lewis for sure was going to be one of the most influential skaters. I was a fan only after watching his footy in 5-Incher for the first time. He has a power house of a style. We lost a great person in the skate world.

I had the pleasure of meeting Lewis at Prahran Skatepark in Melbourne Australia...will defiantly be a memory i'll never forget. He's had a huge impact on my skating and he gave such a big confidence boost just telling me relax and have fun. And to this day i have stuck by what he said. I was gutted when i found out he had passed, such a memorable Aussie icon in the skate scene, RIP homie, we all miss you. radest skater and a rad person. thank you for impacting my life and skating like you have with many others in this world with your genuine heart and soul. gone but never forgotton.

I met him in Barcelona, i was just a kid.. i started to talk with him, didn't expect such a friendly attitude.. we smoked a joint toghether at parallel and then we escape from the police laughing like crazy :).. i'll never forget that day :)awesome person.. humility is one of the best quality one can have.. r.i.p. brother
my friend didn't know who he was at all. about a month after his death i got almost 5 incher and showed lewis' part to him. he said he was sad to think that someone that awesome had just died. dude's making fans even beyond the grave. my regret would be never meeting him. RIP
Hell yeah, 7 years ago I was 14 and saw him at a demo and spoke to him for a couple minutes and I must say everything everyone said about him is so true. He takes his own time and gives it to others. I remember telling him I look up to him, he's such a good skater and to not stop skating and and as humble as he is he told me thank you and also told me to not ever stop skating. Hearing those words got me so pumped. I feel really honored that he even took the time to speak to me and even say that.
I am 42 years old and have been out of the skating loop for a while.I remember when Jeff Phillips died.I hope to get back in to skating this summer,and i will think of Lewis and others who are no longer with us.Thanks Thrasher!!
As a 14 year old it was amazing cuz to us at the age is like seeing a celebrity in our eyes. The guy has a heart of a champion and did truly touch many people's lives he came across. God Bless his Soul and his families. Peace be with you Lewis, and thank you for giving me your words that I will not forget.
dude was my favorite skater when i first got into it. watched every part, read every interview and being psyched when he added me on myspace hahaha. but it was even more rad when i commented on his page talking about him being a type 1 diabetic which was crazy inspiring for me because it was when i was first diagnosed, and i told him and he told me to just keep skating and not let it get in the way of it. guy was a true inspiration and must have been a real treat knowing the guy. RIP Lewis
dude, i enjoyed Lewis' skating. he was a prodigy in the making. I still have almost 5 incher and it saddens me to know Lewis isn't with us. I told my friends that he would get his own shoe buy summer of 2013 . too bad man, he could've of given us so much more. but I know he's still there skating.
