What I love about outback Australia is the fact that you can have a waterhole with growing trees, but 2.0 meters out of the hole is so dry, thru lack of water, that the trees are dying.
Ronny as always you've provided great entertainment on a Sunday night (in lockdown). I had no idea the Pilbara was so spectacular. Awesome job. Ignore the negative comment (as you do anyways) at the start. You guys are the best on the web hands down. This footage was up there with your drone shots of your Simpson crossing. Top job. Keep it up!
reminds me of the old Budh Tucker Man series when he drives into the western part of the Territory for his Wet Season camp. Ive seen that country in the dry and I am really glad you guys have shown it to us in the wet. Love the concept! Could be a whole new thing for you guys?? "You've seen it in the dry but now you get to see it in the Wet too". Brilliant.
Excellent series Mr. Dahl and Crew. Camera crew did a wonderful job too. Such a nice part of our countryside that very few get to explore. Thank you for all the advice and please make a few more of these series. Love your work bud. Honest, humble and no bs content. Genuine Aussie mate!
Legend Ron, have loved the whole Ashburton series. The photography, information, commentry and humour makes it wonderful viewing. Thanks for adding yet ANOTHER place to our bucket list.
EPIC..... Saved the best till last. Well in saying that, the whole series was awesome. So jealous, you had incredible weather, awesome amount of water along the way. Truly is Gods country. Cheers and thank you... Mark...
Amazing video....amazing trip. Was waiting for the video since for many days. And u saved the best for the last.Cant wait to see more videos from u r side. Hats off and two thumbs up for the camera crew.
Absolutely epic episode. Spent all day out on the boat with the kids, came home, immediately grabbed my laptop and was rewarded with this amazing content!
This whole series has been really great and engaging content. After such a epic route, what kind of maintenance do you perform during the trip and after returning home? Perhaps I missed it, but could I further trouble you to post the link to the research and logistical discussion/video you mentioned at the end of this video for planning this sort of adventure?
What a terrific series! I love the Pilbara more than any other region in W.A. Wasn't quite sure about the music selection here and there but that is hardly a big deal. One day I will have to add up how long we have stayed up in the Pilbara over the last 20 or so years. It must be in excess of 2 years at least. I really do hope we get to go back in the not too distant future.
"Driving in after 35's might be an isue" Ya think. So many tracks trashed by 35's 'tearing it up'. Last time I visited the Holland I was amazed at how torn up it had become. That said, its as much as how you drive them than anything else.
In the US, what use to be trails that vehicles with 31" tires could go through are getting more difficult with people running 37", 40", and even larger tires. I get the need for larger tires when rock crawling, but for the rest of the terrain they create huge ruts that now 33" tires struggle and 35" tires seem small. It sucks for us budget folks who can't afford to put huge lifts, regear axles with truss and chromoly axleshafts and so on.
@@tylerdubois9020 Agree that for the harder rockcrawling people will need bigger setups...but people who aren't doing anything like that set their vehicles up that way too. Not great to drive drive day to day. A big setup isn't only what causes the big ruts though - that is as much driving style as anything else. I notice Torbs, for instance, turns into a frightened teen whose only approach is full send if he sees water or a big bump :-) Funny hearing Ronny complain when he has to follow him.
@@technopsychobedlam True. And what happens when you combine bad drivers with oversized tires? Huge ruts haha. Also, overlanding is becoming more popular here in the US, where people stack so much shit into their rigs it weighs over 6k lbs. That also causes a lot of problems.
@@Malc664 It is really. My 'budget build' is at around $7k for cost of vehicle, auto lockers, lift, tires, etc. But I did all the installs myself. Its becoming a upper-middle class sport. There are still those folks who go out and have fun on the cheap, but even on the roads I see Jeep Wranglers that cost around $40k easily. People would rather spend the money and have someone else do all the work, then go take their videos and images for social media, instead of enjoying the moment and the effort/work to build your vehicle.
Great series Ronny and Co. Gotta love those epic water crossings! Don't forget to include how many cartons you pack for a trip like this. Sounds like you almost ran out too 🤣😵🤣
This whole series is just awesome some epic scenery and views but the only thing wrong with the series is that I wasn't with you all, looks like you all had a great time keep up the great work 👍
Ronny, have you made a "how-to water crossing" video? You mentioned "pressuring the cab with the air-conditioning", which I had never heard of. Also, are there additional tips other than diff/trans breathers and snorkels? My first thought is the fuse box, alternator, ECU, and such and how these might be affected, or what you can do to prevent/mitigate damage. Another thought is aftermarket devices (Spods/switch pros/compressors (air bag, lockers, tires)) and how these could be affected should deep water be necessary/unavoidable. Speaking of snorkels, don't these have to be properly sealed? At any rate, seems quite a bit of material that would make for an excellent video. Thanks for all of your great content Ronny.
I'm assuming another tyre company threw some new tyres at you Ronny, and this time they look like all terrains? To be honest I really wanted to see more of those MT772's
Are there salties in that part of Australia? Seems like you guys were pretty comfortable wading in the rivers, so I’m guessing they’re not present there?
Love it... I'm always torn between offroading with my 100 or 60 series... IFS is soooo comfy. And the 100 series V8 so much fun. FJ62 still puts more of a smile on my face though...
Just some constructive criticism... Elevator music really detracted from a great video, made it a little hard to watch.. felt very cheesy. Other than that I always look forward to your videos.
Hi Ronny Just wondering how you went with the BP-51 and did you do any adjustments on your travels I'm setting things up for next year I have done a bit Thru there doing cattle stations and community driving road trains time to do it without rushing this time and seeing parts of the country that I missed out on bit hard to pull 3 trailers just any where not that I didn't give it a go
Question from Canada, at the low height tunnel, could air down tires help as well for clearance? Or would the gain be too small for the effort? Thanks.
Hi Ronny, Would you please tell me how do you create the animated video on background showing your routing tracker video? places that you have already visited and places that you are willing to visit. thank you. nice video as usual
This might sound like a dumb question but when I bring my car to be tuned for a unichip, will the mechanic ask me how I want it tuned or will they know what to do??
A bit over your 70's bashing. stopped watching a 5.40, ill keep checking back to see if you decide to do anything really challenging with your little buzz box.
39 minutes of my Saturday that won’t end up being a waste.
Great trip. This was a super fun episode, music selection really enhanced the vibe. Thanks for having me along.
When Torbs drove through with that engine sound and water splashing outside his window it could have been a boat! Nice, loved the series!

An awesome enjoyable episode. The music and cinematography made this episode so much more better. Well done everyone.
Thanks a lot for keeping an eye out for the wildlife!

Nice episode Ronny!! At 27:30 you say that you pressurize the cab by turning the fan on, is that to avoid water entering through the doors?
Yes, not actually sure if it works but since doing this 15yrs ago I’ve yet to have water in the cab
Loving the way you did this series Ronny! Feels like the old series but even better! Cheers 🇨🇦
One of the most enjoyable series' on you tube.
Top show crew loved the banters and the change up in styles during the series 👍🏽🍻
Damn, I wish lockdown is already over I am so keen for some bush!
Another top episode Ronny and team! Parts of the country that most will never visit!

Must say though the little Luxy is killing it
Some inner tubes would've been good 👍👍👍
Totally
Great series, best part was rhonny getting bogged 😂😂😂😂
Torben agrees strongly 😆
Very good series, Ronny. Love you.
Enjoyed watching the whole trip. Awesome. Enjoyed the last video Sunday morning. Well done 👍🏼🍻😎
One of the best series yet Ronny!
Awesome Series, Ronny. I loved every episode.
Awesome episode, one of my favorites for sure
Great vid... One question... Not sure about the flip flops while 4wheeling... 🙂
10 mins from my mine site, I take the thrifty rental triton down there for fun on the weekend

Best 4x4 channel on the Tube, Ronny when / if can we expect content in 4k? 😉
I might be dropping something special and different very soon 😉
Living the dream, you lucky bastard!
Great series loved it👍👍
Another great video mate , as always good stuff :)
Awesome
Foot to the floor Torbs! Never a disappointment. Great series.
What is the story with the blue tree at 11:30 ?
Jay its a men’s mental health thing.. beyond blue ..they have painted dead trees blue along all the major rdd in WA …
Ronny - how are you liking the Summit bumper? I got one on my Ranger this summer and so far so good.
Two things
Why is Torben’s rear locker not working?
How do you pressurise your cab with your a/c? Doesn’t your can have vents?
I broke the 2 pin socket to the locker and unfortunately I couldn't fix it without new parts
@@torbs_littlebear I see
So I hope you’re buying two. One to replace it with and another for the spare parts box

First minute and we have watched the video! LOL
Panna Hill is absolutely beautiful also known as Ballaboonnee. Robe River Kuruma are the Traditional Owners.
Amazing content I like this longer content
Wonder if it's a good idea to install electric motors to the trailer for extra propulsion
Torbs is like the tracker bloke from Crocodile Dundee
Awesome upload!!
Are there salties in that part of Australia? Seems like you guys were pretty comfortable wading in the rivers, so I’m guessing they’re not present there?
Not in that region but the Ashburton river has at least one saltie in it
Ahahah the hilux has flutter hahaha 👌 zutututututututu
Pressurize the cab so it keeps the water out a bit?
Great trip👍👍 btw what rocksliders are you running on the Lux
Ronny posted a whole series on the hilux build ,

You are a flip-flop (or whatever sandals are called in WA) aerobatic bumper ninja Mr Ronny haha.
Hell of journey but missing fishing rod.
400k subs wow
Hey Ronny, how do you know if the river is crocodile-infested or not?
Toss a stick in and wait for the dog to come back 🤣🤣
A fair way inland and the river doesn't normally flow at all.
About 500km south and 200km inland of any croc infested areas, quite safe in the Pilbara.
@@johnalthuizen3551 it would be unusual but there have been crocs spotted at the mouth of the Ashburton.
