This was a pretty good game. I felt the downhill slide begin when that first pulse wave missed. It was all just a struggle to stay alive after that. Those bombs are nasty. I need them.

Quick note on the Quake, you would actually deal the falling damage immediately, and THEN make your attack (caps added for emphasis):
12.6e - If a character’s knockback path is stopped before being placed the specified number of squares and wasn’t stopped because a character occupies the next square in its knockback path, IMMEDIATELY deal that character 1 damage. This is called knockback damage.
Characters also take 1 knockback damage if an elevated terrain marker they occupy is removed or destroyed.
Also I think this video had a record number of “special rules” attempts, and possibly the first that resulted in actually looking it up in the PAC!

Man, that miss on Electro's Running Shot/Pulse Wave was bad. And at 1 hour you really couldn't turn your luck around.
The move with Beetle went awesome. Would've been even better if you had 6's from Bullseye to secure 4 damage😂. Awesome game you two😁😁

I have played this scenario with the same characters, and it was very hard to play Rob's team. It seems like Jocelyn's team brings more to the table, the Beetle/Rhino combo is mean with lots of damage, the Bullseye/Boomerang duo has good range and some probability control, and symbiote is good to get in the way. Rob had Venom and Vulture with some good damage but both Spider-Woman and Electro were not on full dials and I feel this made the difference. I would have put those two on full dials and the the team would be just five characters at 295 or 300 points. I am not sure I would choose Spider-Gwen or Mr. Negative. It is that Outwit or telekinesis and it would still be difficult to win

I don't know about Marlon, but I am really enjoying this set. I have always had a love for Carnage and they made him nasty in this set. I played tonight and he single handedly took out Iron Spider and SPDR. I haven't played since 2006 and I picked it back up a few months ago. I've watched your videos to relearn the game. Thank you guys for the lessons. 😁😁😁
@@DiceStationZebra I am really enjoying this set too. There are a lot of great pieces at every level. I still like a lot of BTU, but I agree Beyond Amazing seems better overall. I think part of the reason is how soon after Beyond Amazing came out. Like when Disney Plus came out right after WoTR. Beyond Amazing has some very cool sculpts as well.

This was a great game. I love the way vulture works. I had a feeling that Aunt May will be a big factor and the potential is there. Love that Bullseye rally trait (have to get him soon).

I played againts Jocelyn's team using a Spider-Man Family team of Aunt May, Black Cat at 40 points, Mary Jane, Miles Morales at 50 points, Spider-Gwen, Spider-Man at 50 points, Spider-Woman at 75 Points. At total 295 this team took out her team with little effort. Black Cat on her very deadly first click and Spider-Woman took out the heavy hitters, and I could stay out of the Bullseye/Boomerang team with Spider-Man. The combo of Probability, Outwit and Perplex is too important when dealing with the Beetle and Rhino.
Outwit is so important in sealed.

She's pretty great! We can't wait to use her to her full potential.
Spider Gwen is a massive problem also. I ran two of her on a team, double token a character and run away. It was heartbreaking for my opponent.
Venom heals every time someone uses super senses. They don't have to hit SS just roll for it.
Wow, we didn't realize that at first. That's just nasty for the opponent! lol

Good game and cool pulls guys! I'm a bit on the fence with the new cards, some things are cool, some other decisions not so much.
- Traits and Special Powers should fit the front, because is what one most consults.
- Full size figure picture affects the distribution of the front card, affecting the first point.
- I miss Flavour Text on all the card, not only traits and specials, but I understand this saves space and development time. By the way,

We really like the new cards so far. Yes, in some cases the Special Powers are moved to the back, but so far that's the only downside. We really like that the dial is on the front though, it's great for reference.
Rob especially does not miss flavour text. It's ok for Special Powers and Traits though.

Can you use abilities on a mind controlled opposing character , I thought you couldn’t .
I believe you can use passive abilities that don't have a costed bold action like 'CLOSE'.
