@@hellrazor117 the wifi was amazing for the time if you had good wifi at home! Played with tons of people in hunters, there was even voicechat, where my 13yo-squeaker-ass was harassing everyone😂
Classic! Yes, for me too, it's the nostalgia of it. I wish they would do another one - maybe for Switch. Seems we may have Metroid Prime 4 releasing sometime next year... but still it would be awesome to have a Hunters re-make. Thanks for your comment.
@@loungegremlin and thanks for the response! I can't wait for prime 4 personally. I made my own thumb stylus on day one of getting that game. Nintendo really loves gimmicky control schemes that drive me insane. I still loved playing that game though, it was incredible what they were able to do with the old DS.
Not so gimmicky the more I think about it. Basically using the resistive touchscreen like a laptop track pad... Thumb trackpads are on the Steam Deck, makes the DS feels weirdly ahead of its time.
The original DS Fat had a string thingy that had a thumb pad you could put on your finger and strap it. That way I enjoyed MP Hunters in an extremely comfortable way back in the day.
Been playing this game recently, even before the Prime 4 reveal, can say, it can be incredibly taxing on your wrist, get a stand if you plan on playing in stylus mode.
This game had no reason being sooooo good online . One of the best online experiences i had with a fps and this was on a freakin DS ! The sound, the hit feedback and the headshots while being fast paced . What a good time !
@@no89lan3 From personal experience, the only control scheme that actually made the game feel like a great mobile arena shooter was with the stylus like in the video. Back in the day, the DS fat had a strap thing, which was mostly used as adornment, but at the end of it had a small pad you could strap on your thumb and play like in the video, as if you had a virtual functioning joystick, the only limitation was that you had to mind where you touch to avoid activating something other than the intended action.
Using the stylus was painful, so instead I used a stylus pen that was full sized and with a grip. Made it far more comfortable, and was the closest thing to mouse like control at the time.
@@chachitzotzluna3932 You are correct when it comes to a lot of 'capacitive' touch screens, which is what modern smart phones, tablets, and some laptops use, however, all iterations of the DS and 3DS, including the Wii U, used 'resistive' touch screens, which function differently. I agree with OP, keep that screen as scuff free as you can, while still enjoying DS games to the fullest!

the best thing to use for touchscreen on a 3DS is actually a thumb "sock" that is used for mobile phones too.
Nah dude, with a long gitar playing thumb nail it might be better than having a second analog!

Do you think a normal button setup can work even better for a remake? I never owned a DS so I can't say how good the DS controls worked.

This was really a great game. Should have made a 2nd one. They need to make more Metroid games, they’re awesome.
Plz remastered or remaked this on nintendo switch that would be great 😊
You may want to make a cloth spot for your ring so the screen won't get scratched much.
Works like that?
No creo que el tactil detecte un pedazo de tela.
I shoud work fine, I've done it. I put a marbal in a cloth glove and played it like that a year or so ago.

It’s got a screen protector and I don’t tap that hard. The ring is quiet smooth and rounded too which helps.
