  • Tradescantia Nanouk, also known as Fantasy Venice, is one of the trending plant right now around the world, because of its pretty bright green, pink & purple, fuzzy leaves growing on chunky stems. It’s not like any other Tradescantia because it’s a new variety grown by cross pollinating two selected seedlings of Tradescantia Albiflora in the Netherlands in 2012. Tradescantia plants originated in Central America, Mexico, and South America, but Tradescantia Nanouk originated in Sappemeer, The Netherlands. While it is a new generation hybrid plant, it is not a difficult plant. In fact, it’s one of the easiest houseplants to care for, which makes it a great choice for beginners. Here is a short video of water propagation of this beautiful plant.

      Only water when the top soil gets dry. This is working for my plant. 😍

    What kind of soil and fertilizer is best for this beautiful wild plant?

    • @nature-the-healer
      @nature-the-healer  5 месяцев назад

      Well Draining Houseplant soil mix is best for this plant. I fertilize my plants using regular Houseplant fertilizer with one third of the normal dose whenever watering.

    Can you be so kind and tell me. Why my plant don't keep the pink color. Please!!!

    • @nature-the-healer
      @nature-the-healer  10 месяцев назад +5

      Hi, This plant needs bright light to keep its pink colour. Place the plant on a windowsill where it gets indirect sunlight or provide it with a grow light. It will regain its colour. 😊

      Don't worry, every plant lover goes through these phases. I had the same problem with my plants before. Browning of the leaf tips. The reason for my plant's problem was "Tap water", it contains chemicals that were causing the leaves to brown. After changing water, that problem was solved. You can also try to use rain water or filtered water for your plants and see if that makes any difference.
      Hope this will help you ❤️🕊️

      I am really sorry to hear that. I don't know what could be causing your plant to die, but in most of the cases I have seen, water might be the villain. Tradescantia Nanouk plant leaves are like succulent leaves, they store some amount of water. So, over watering, water remaining on the leaves and using tap water for watering can easily kill these plants. Keep in a bright spot with indirect sunlight. Try to observe the small changes before your plant dies and you can spot the cause of your plants death.
      Hope you find this helpful 🙏
      Best wishes ❤️😊

    Ciao sono di Venezia,abito in terraferma però ... Che substrato usi per Tradescantia Nanouk anch'io ne ho messe a taleate dirette in terriccio...

      Yes, you can also directly plant cuttings in soil. We are using regular Houseplant potting mix with a generous amount of perlite to avoid water retention. Watering regularly before top soil completely dries out and a bright spot at your house can make this plant thrive.
      Hope this will help you ❤️
      Best wishes 😊

    Why my plant has orange spots and dried leaves?

    • @nature-the-healer
      @nature-the-healer  21 день назад

      Leaves browning in this plant is mainly caused due to water problems. My plant had leaf tip browning, which was solved when I stopped using tap water.
      These plant leaves are like succulent leaves, they store water. So they are sensitive to water droplets remaining on the leaves. This can cause brown spots on Nanouk leaves.
      I hope this will help you.
      Best wishes ❤️😊

    This is wandering all outside. How can I get it to also grow fuller in the pot

    • @nature-the-healer
      @nature-the-healer  5 месяцев назад +1

      This plant can be easily grown from cuttings, this gives us an easy way to make it look lush. You can trim this plant to your requirement and plant those cuttings in the same pot to get a thicker look to your plant.

    Mine are browning at the tips of the leaves, any advice?

    • @nature-the-healer
      @nature-the-healer  5 месяцев назад +1

      I had this problem before. This might be due to the quality of water. I was using tap water when this problem occurred. When I changed the water, the new leaves stopped browning.
      Hope this helps you.
      Thank you

    I have this plant and I don’t know how to enjoy it!
    I don’t know how to plant it. It’s kinda wild on its own. Help?

    • @nature-the-healer
      @nature-the-healer  5 месяцев назад +1

      Enjoying this plant can vary according to our tastes. They can be grown in hanging pots, moss poles, wall pots, flower baskets and also can be grown in beautiful glass bottles filled with water. Just give a bright spot in your house for this plant and regularly water with light fertilizer before its soil gets completely dried. Then it will grow quickly and you can trim and tame them according to your fantasy.
      Hope this helped you.
      Best wishes with your plants
      Thank you

    Whats the best soil for these ?

    • @nature-the-healer
      @nature-the-healer  4 месяца назад

      We use Houseplant soil mix with a generous amount of perlite to avoid water retention. In our experience a well Draining soil mix, regular watering before the top soil dries out entirely, and a good bright spot can help your Tradescantia Nanouk plant to grow at its best.
      Hope you find this helpful 🙂
      Best wishes 🤞❤️

    Very beautiful, but also illegal. Nanouk is a patented plant and propagating it is illegal even if you are doing it only for your own use.

    I'm horrible at this plant! One plant that I always kill

    • @nature-the-healer
      @nature-the-healer  13 дней назад

      Ohh, I am really sorry to hear that. Sometimes we need a lot of experience to understand some plants needs. I was also very horrible at growing the "z z plant". It is said to be one of the easy care plants and I was not able to grow it. After sacrificing many plants, now I am successfully growing them.
      Keep trying, you too will be successful one day. ❤️😊
      Best wishes ❤️
